Chapter 255 – Weather Forecast Predicted Heavy Snow in Tampa Florida as the Infamous Drug Cartel 'Florida Man' Wrote Academic Books for Children.
In the past, Gao Yan and Jin Yong sneaked into Orlando Realm several tis for an adventure. However, the local monsters could no longer pose a challenge to them.
They needed sothing stronger.
This world fit their need. The extrely cold temperature and the overwhelming yin Qi almost killed them as soon as they entered their place. However, instead of taking the hint and leaving, these young n laughed in excitent.
"Is this a proper immortal realm?" Gao Yan inquired.
"Probably sothing higher. Lord Florida Man's signboard said clearly; Deities are here."
"So, it's a world of deities?"
"I don't know. I just want to kill sothing stronger than thunder caimans and cockatrices."
"Sa."
The two guys took steps further and explored the surroundings.
The sky was crimson red, covered by the red clouds. Below their feet, several layers of ice hid the blood swamps underneath. Corpses of bull-like creatures could be seen inside.
Only 10 seconds had passed since they had arrived in this world. The humanoid cow monsters let out a warcry as they detected an intruder.
MOOOOOOO!!
"!!!"
"!!!"
The deafening voice of the cows stunned both cocky immortals. Their ears bled. Their vision blurred, while the muscles in their legs lost all strength.
"Yeah, figured as much."
Behind the two n, Leo was there. He was in a hazmat suit.
The cow army was quick. While Leo was about to drag these young immortals away, one of them leaped over Leo and landed in front of the exit portal. It turned around and blocked the path. As for the rest of the horde, they stomped toward the three n.
Seeing the lone guard, Leo lightly threw a light punch empty air in front of him.
BOOM
The punch generated an air bullet, which blasted the head of a lone cow monster into pieces. The monster collapsed and stopped moving.
Leo snorted and grabbed the collars of the idiot youngsters. He yeeted them toward the exit portal like a professional basketball player, scoring three points twice.
MOOOOO!!
The cows were angry as their prey managed to escape. They launched their attacks at Leo.
Leo grumbled in a bad mood.
"You livestock should know your place."
Just by glaring at them, Leo unleashed an aura surpassing a karmic sovereign. The cow monsters froze on their track and collapsed one after another.
After confirming that all cows were dead, Leo withdrew his glare. He silently turned around and exited the cow level.
.
Coming outside, Leo inspected Gao Yan and Jin Yong's conditions.
Their souls had a short crack extending from their ears. Although the cracks were small, this injury might take several years to heal as no dicine could heal one's soul. In addition, Jin Yong's dantian was damaged, while Gao Yan's ridians almost shattered.
They found out.
"Yup. This is the definition of FAFO. Y'all gonna get stuck for a few years healing your wounds. I told you that realm was too dangerous."
Although Leo scolded them, Gao Yan and Jin Yong couldn't hear him. Their eardrums were busted. He carried both n down the flying island and put them in his bus, locking them in there until they were healed.
"Hah."
After dropping the two n on his bus, Leo visited the shopping mall warehouse to unload the cow's at and corpses.
A thousand cow monsters were big enough to fill the entire underground warehouse. Thus, Leo only unloaded 500 dead cows.
Leo returned to the first floor. Along the way, mannequins from the restaurants rushed toward the underground warehouse, where Leo had dropped the dead cows. It seed the food departnt would be busy for a while.
Getting out of the shopping mall, Leo opened his system to check the last item he got from phase 3's quest.
[Selectable SR Building]
It was different than the others. Leo could pick one from the list.
Leo activated the item.
DING
A long catalog displaying a hundred icons flashed on the system screen. Leo skimd through the list.
.
Train Station
Cellphone Factory
The Park
Zoo
.
The list went on. However, Leo already made up his mind when he saw a certain building.
.
.
A day later, Filip and Andria wandered Leo's shopping mall to explore the stores and services. They found the ti chamber that Andria had ntioned.
"Is this the one?" Filip pointed at the ti chamber.
Andria nodded, "Yes. You can enter it if you find the sword saint. I don't know where he is now, though."
"It's fine. I don't think we have to wait long."
As Filip spoke, a new batch of trainees exited the ti chamber along with Hua Taixu. The disciples were female teenagers of the Amazonian Sanctuary. However, their cultivation base boasted the quasi-immortal stage, while their sword mastery improved by leaps and bounds. They no longer needed to rely solely on their pets anymore.
Hua Taixu was elated as four new students inherited his way of swords. He shifted his attention to the other group next.
Then, his eyes t with Filip's.
"YOU, STRONG! , STRONGER! , Train, You. YOU, STRONKER!"
Filip was taken aback. He looked at Andria in confusion, "Is he always like this?"
Andria smirked, "You will appreciate him when you are in there, commander. Now, follow him and seize this opportunity."
"…I don't know about this."
While Filip hesitated, Hua Taixu threw ropes at the forr and three other troopers. The sword saint's clone dragged everybody into the ti chamber and burst into laughter.
Andria sent them off and waved her hand at them. After everybody disappeared into the ti chamber, she shifted her attention to the other facilities.
The casino didn't interest her. The boot camp reminded her of the PTSD training regi she had been through before she could beco a crewmate.
But there was a new facility, which appeared recently. It was located far to the south of the shopping mall's fourth floor.
The facility took two slots in the shopping mall. Half of it was a bookstore. As for the other half, it was a library, but it was only accessible to staff mbers.
Andria pouted as she wished she could enter the library to read free books. As she had no choice, she browsed through the bookstore. As an expert in this field, she skimd through the sections of the bookshelves first.
- Cultivation thods
- Sword Techniques
- Spear Techniques
- Pole Arm Techniques
- Archery
- Firearms
- Finger Techniques
- Fist Techniques
- Palm Techniques
- Elental and Daos
"Huh?"
Andria frowned and rubbed her eyes for a mont. Making sure that she wasn't hallucinating, she approached the cultivation thod section and checked the books. As most books weren't covered in plastic seals or wraps, she picked up a sample book and flipped it.
The book was 500 pages thick. The quality of the papers was also durable, and she felt nice when she flipped the papers. The pictures were in color and highly detailed.
"What?!"
The book contained a detailed cultivation thod from the muscle tempering stage to the quasi-immortal stage. It also provided tips and tricks that every commoner could learn and understand.
Andria flipped around the book and read the cover.
[Easy Cultivation thods for Dummies]
"…"
Andria almost vomited blood. In her world, every commoner could kill to get their hands on such a cultivation thod. As for her, she managed to learn a cultivation thod from the military in exchange for 1,000 years of service.
Had she gotten this before she joined the army, she wouldn't have had to get stuck in a spaceship for years.
Andria put away the book and picked up another one nearby.
[Foundation Building – I Wish I Knew Before I Cultivate]
It was a theory book, but the information seed useful. It gave examples of the Dos and Don'ts, which cultivation beginners often overlooked in their early days.
Andria stood there and read half of the book. She kept shaking her head and sotis smacked her face in anger.
"I WISH I KNEW ALL OF THESE!! WHY CAN'T I FIND ONE OF THESE IN MY WORLD?!"
Andria carried the foundation building book in her arm and checked more books.
[Life Force Gathering thod]
[Pill Alchemy for Beginners]
[How to Sleep as a Cultivator]
[Overcoming Heavenly Tribulations like a Pro]
By the ti Andria realized, she already had a dozen books in her arms. She carried them to the counter, where a lone wooden mannequin stood behind.
Andria panted and asked, "How much are these? I want to buy them all."
The mannequin picked the books and nimbly scanned the barcodes on the back of each book. When she was done, she showed the number and pointed at a signboard.
[This store only accepts lifespan (years) as a currency.]
The mannequin pointed at the cashier machine on the counter and showed Andria the number.
495 YOL
They were expensive!
Andria's hands trembled as she didn't want to lose more lifespan. Her inner thoughts told her to return the books and read for free here. However, the other thoughts reminded her that she could share the books with others, which would be more worthwhile.
After asuring the pros and cons, Andria made her decision to buy the books.
"I'll pay. I'll take these books."
The cashier nodded and pressed a button on the machine. As soon as she pressed it, Andria sensed a portion of her life force leaving her and entering the mannequin's body.
Andria accepted the loss and took the books with her. It was worth the investnt. Also, she suddenly gained an inspiration.
'Right. I should go back to the ship and tell the others to buy other books. Then, we can share the knowledge among ourselves.'
While Filip was busy in the ti chamber, Andria rushed to the spaceship to tell her female friends about the bookstore.
.
Andria wasn't the only one who noticed the new bookstore on the fourth floor. The frequent visitors, such as Hua Jiashan, Tang Xuan, and other old n found them and had the sa reaction as Andria's.
"WOW! YOU CAN DO THAT?!"
"DAMMIT! I WISH I KNEW ALL OF THESE!! I'M STUPID!"
The old n scread in pain while they read the books on the shelves. 10 minutes later, they swallowed their pride and brought the books to the counter.
Hua Jiashan was decisive. He was the first to ask how Leo got his hands on them.
"Shopkeeper, could you tell where your master is? I wish to know about the origins of these books."
The mannequin calmly pointed inside the library. She then pointed at a signboard, which was hand-written by Leo.
[All books are written by ! Don't question how I got these from. I won't answer you.]
"…"
The crowd was speechless. Even Wu Buyi who ca here with them dropped his jaw.
"M-My lord is so smart!"
Hua Jiashan rolled his eyes, "Obviously, he's a supre expert. Who knows what his real cultivation base is. He must have learned everything firsthand to be able to write so many books."
Dongfang i ignored the crowd. She flipped through the interdiate section, where all books were related to immortals and techniques suitable for immortal stages. She wasn't disappointed.
'This will be useful. I'll take this, this, that, and those.'
Dongfang i ended up purchasing 10 books, which cost her 900 YOL. However, for her, it was worth every penny.
.
.
anwhile, Leo sat in the library, yawning and picking his nose. He currently took a short break after he had defeated random cultivators in the simulation mode 10,000 tis.
DING
"Yes."
DING
Two books manifested and floated in front of Leo. He retrieved them and tossed the books toward a librarian behind the counter.
"Copy those as usual."
The librarian mannequin caught the books. She gently put them on the table and placed her hands on them.
DING
DING
The books gradually multiplied. While she did that, Leo received system notification ssages.
The newly copied books filled the bookshelves of the library first. After the librarian had finished registering the books, she transferred 10 of each to the bookstore and put them on sale.
The source of these books ca from the system skills that Leo had copied from the simulation mode. So of the tips and tricks also originated from Leo's understanding.
