Feeling the threat, one of the basilisks screeched, pointing its spear at Felix.
"KILL HIM!"
At the order, the basilisks dropped their fear and roared, charging toward Felix with renewed determination. They swung their tails and charged forward. So radiated the aura of four-star knights while a dozen at the rear raised their staffs, conjuring fourth-circle spells.
As they closed in, Felix rolled his tongue and spat with all his might. A tiny, finger-sized fireball shot toward the charging vanguard.
The basilisks dismissed it, assuming it was a desperate and feeble attempt at defense.
That assumption proved fatal. One basilisk slithered directly into the fire spit's path, and the projectile struck its weapon.
*VROOM*
The mont the fireball made contact, an explosion erupted, engulfing the entire area in a roaring sea of flas. The temperature soared to 500 degrees, instantly evaporating moisture and consuming the oxygen within a 200-ter radius.
The charging vanguard and the mages behind them were caught off guard. Their shrieks of panic echoed through the inferno. They struggled to breathe as the intense heat cooked them from the inside out.
The charge ca to a halt as everybody but Felix collapsed!
Felix licked his teeth and his gum, collecting his saliva in his mouth and preparing for another spit. He grinned.
"Now, I feel like a proper phoenix."
"Wow. You sound angry."
Once again, Jessica sighed. She shook her head,
"Cultivators?" Felix was curious. "What's that?"
Felix glanced at Jessica. He mischievously teased her, "Jessica, I wanna have seggs."
Jessica rolled her eyes and facepald. She didn't know what to do with Felix's libido and laziness.
He indeed had fallen. He was a better man when Jane was around.
As the old saying goes, sex changed n. So grew up while the rest remained as kids.
Still, as Felix had a clear motivation and life goal, Jessica had a few ideas on how to encourage him.
Felix imdiately sat up. His sparkling eyes fixed on Jessica's screen, "There's such a building in the store?!"
"Yeah, I didn't pay attention to it. Let see!"
Felix opened the system shop nu and searched for the 'ti chamber'. He wondered if he could build one on his flying island.
*DING*
The system shop popped up, displaying sample images of the hyperbolic chamber. However, the price for the top chamber was too steep.
It required a total of 2,147,483,647 years of lifespan!
Felix's heart sank. He realized that he might not be able to collect that much without this fla-bathing ritual. He wondered how many years he needed to work to get that far.
Jessica read his mind and answered for him.
Felix dropped his shoulders in disappointnt, "Yeah, Nah. I ain't gonna cook myself nonstop for 68 years. I've been working for three days, and I can feel that I'm dying inside. There's no way I can endure 68 years without seggs. Na-ah!"
"…Yikes. That exists?"
