Chapter 41: Steadily Killing the Enemy, Only Seeking Results

The Gale Sword Skill burst forth, infused with the profound essence of the Great Dao of Wind. Its sword qi howled, violent and sharp, sweeping the land like a tempest.

Two sword techniques interwoven, transforming into a vast river of sword dao. Endless sword qi surged, drowning the swarming tigers and razing the surrounding mountains.

In a flash, countless tigers were shredded by the sword qi, their bodies disintegrating, their auras fading into nothingness.

But it was not enough.

Xuan Qing followed up relentlessly, casting the Supre Qing Thunder Law. Thunder raged like a surging flood, engulfing the area in violent arcs of lightning.

Mountains shattered, forests burned to ash, and the massive tiger in front of him disintegrated along with the thunder and sword light.

When all fell silent, Xuan Qing gazed at the tattered remains of the tigers, now little more than charred corpses. He sighed.

“So many tigers appearing like this… It’s truly terrifying.”

Zi Yun’s voice rang in his mind, exasperated.

Master… is it they who are terrifying, or is it you? A bunch of tigers, even if they have traces of the white tiger bloodline, are still just beasts. But you slaughter them so ruthlessly… isn’t this excessive?

Xuan Qing ignored the comnt, raising a hand to conjure flas that engulfed the corpses before him. With a murmur, he intoned,

“Dust to dust, earth to earth. If you walk the devil’s path in this life, you shall not have an afterlife.”

As the flas consud the remains, he silently counted the number of cremated tigers.

Zi Yun hesitated before asking, Master… what are you doing?

Xuan Qing’s tone remained firm.

“What do you know? When killing the enemy, one must do so thoroughly. Burn them, destroy them completely. If you hesitate, what if they recover and launch a counterattack? What if they suddenly reveal their hidden cards and co back stronger? Rember this.”

Xuan Qing was deadly serious as he transmitted this to Zi Yun. He had long learned—especially from the many novels of his past life—that when dealing with enemies, one must strike decisively and show no rcy. Otherwise, who knew if the enemy might suddenly undergo a fortuitous encounter, gain so mysterious treasure, and co back to kill you in revenge?

Especially those “destined protagonists” in novels—those with undying cockroach-like fates.

Thus, Xuan Qing had long resolved:

When dealing with the enemy—be ruthless.

A while later, Xuan Qing had already traversed ten thousand miles away.

After blessing the tigers with various divine arts, he traced the dense Geng Jin qi in the mountains to its source: an innate piece of Geng Gold.

Without hesitation, Xuan Qing claid it, and then imdiately left. The earlier commotion might have drawn the attention of demonic cultivators—best not to linger.

Yet no sooner had he settled down than a tiger’s roar echoed once more.

From the mountains, another wave of tigers charged at him.

Xuan Qing frowned. What’s going on? I just slaughtered a pack of tigers, and now another?

It couldn’t be a flaw in his concealnt technique… Could it be that demonic cultivators lurked in the shadows, orchestrating these attacks?

Sword qi surged once more, poison mist followed, and flas engulfed.

The tigers fell one by one. Yet just as he shifted position, another wave of roars erupted.

Xuan Qing’s expression stiffened a glint of resignation in his eyes.

It’s no illusion. It’s not a problem with my aura… then it must be a hidden demonic cultivator, or… the master himself orchestrating this.

It had to be the latter.

Xuan Qing sighed deeply.

My master… to temper his disciple, he went so far as to send wave after wave of demonic tigers? Is this even fair?

There was nothing he could do but face the enemy.

Sword techniques slashed out, and thunder raged. The poison mist, for now, was abandoned—it was clear this was all orchestrated by his master, so Xuan Qing decided to rely solely on the techniques he had comprehended.

Ti flowed by. In the blink of an eye, Xuan Qing had fought against these demonic tigers for over ten years.

He had slaughtered countless tigers, so much so that the very sound of a tiger’s roar now made him feel physically ill.

High above in the heavens, the Three Purities watched in silence.

The First Heavenly Father smiled faintly.

“This child, Xuan Qing, is quite perceptive. Just a few encounters and he already realized it was us.”

Laozi also smiled gently.

“He’s a sharp one, though a bit cautious in combat. But that’s not a bad thing.”

Tong Tian looked a little sheepish.

“Big Brother, I’m not sure about this… Xuan Qing’s battle thods—poisoning, sword techniques, fire attacks… they’re a bit excessive. He’s still lacking in real combat experience.”

“That’s true. Let him fight a few more battles—he’ll gain understanding in ti.” Laozi nodded.

The First Heavenly Father agreed.

“Indeed. These demonic tigers are no longer much of a challenge for him. It’s ti to let him face demonic cultivators—those with sentience and cunning. That will temper him further.”

Laozi nodded.

“Good. Let’s arrange for that.”

Xuan Qing remained oblivious to the conversation above.

If he knew, he might even have felt grateful.

At present, Xuan Qing was like a startled bird, wary of every step, his mind weary from years of battling tigers.

Just as he sighed, a streak of light tore through the air, killing intent surging toward him.

Having endured endless tiger battles, Xuan Qing’s instincts had long been honed. Before the attack even landed, he flickered away with the Transportation Technique.

When he reappeared, his gaze locked onto the source of the attack—a devilish cultivator.

“A demonic cultivator, as expected.” Xuan Qing’s voice was cold. After sending tigers, the next step was demonic cultivators, as I thought. Master, you don’t hold back.

The devil cultivator’s eyes glead coldly, gripping a long sword in his hand. He sneered,

“Interesting… such a pure aura in one so young. Devouring you will surely boost my cultivation.”

Xuan Qing’s brow twitched.

“Eat ? Why is everyone so obsessed with eating ? The Violet Skyscraper was like this, those tigers were like this, and now you too?”

The devil cultivator licked his lips.

“Why not? For us demonic cultivators, devouring others is the fastest path to power!”

With that, he lunged. A streak of light burst forth, aiming to end Xuan Qing in a single strike.

“Sneak attack!” Xuan Qing’s eyes widened as if caught off guard.

The devil cultivator grinned coldly.

“We demonic cultivators only care about results—not the process.”

He could already see Xuan Qing dying beneath his blade.

Yet before the light reached its target, Xuan Qing had already vanished once more.

The devil cultivator’s expression darkened.

“Another Transportation Technique? Good… let’s see how long you can keep running.”

Demonic qi erupted the cultivator’s aura flaring at the Taiyi realm.

Xuan Qing frowned. He couldn’t quite tell the devil’s cultivation thod, but the aura confird his strength—also in the Taiyi realm.

The devil cultivator locked onto Xuan Qing’s trail and pursued him relentlessly.

Xuan Qing narrowed his eyes, voice calm.

“Who’s running? You think I’ll spare a cultivator who wants to kill ?”

His figure flickered, vanishing once again.

The devil cultivator’s expression shifted. Sothing was wrong.

His demonic qi surged chaotically, beginning to collapse.

“What’s going on? What did you do to ?!”
