The vehicle they used was a cart pulled by a spirit beast in the form of a wolf. With agile strides, the creature dashed forward, weaving through the city's crowded twists and turns. Tall buildings stood neatly along the roads, while rchants busily offered their goods, and sect warriors kept watch at various corners. The city buzzed with life, until finally, in the distance, a towering structure began to co into view.

The building was shaped like a three-dinsional diamond, hovering slightly above the ground, though not too high. Its unique exterior design made Lein narrow his eyes slightly.

"I didn't expect to see a building like this in the Faithwarden Sect," Lein murmured, his gaze examining every corner of the structure.

The broader sides were surrounded by a ring-shaped barrier that slowly rotated, emitting a faint glow.

What caught his attention even more was the material—tallic black with streams of blue energy forming strange patterns across its surface. The material appeared to be a fusion of advanced technology and sothing more ancient.

"Elder Lein, is this your first ti arriving in the Faithwarden domain?" the guard suddenly asked after hearing Lein's remark.

Lein gave a brief nod without replying.

"Elder Lein, this building is not a product of Invictus Sect technology," the guard explained, a hint of pride in his voice.

Lein remained silent, waiting for further explanation.

"Advanced player technology was intentionally chosen because it's more affordable, yet its quality is not inferior to that of pure energy- and law-based technology," the guard continued with a firm tone, as if trying to dispel any assumption that the building was of lesser value.

Lein gave a slight nod. "Makes sense," he replied calmly, not intending to stretch the discussion further.

He understood well that players were experts at mimicking the workings of nature through technology. While the result might not be as powerful as pure energy-based constructs, their strength lay in efficient mass production and decent overall quality.

anwhile, Efan and Laras kept observing the main hall as it drew closer. From ti to ti, Efan comnted on the building's design. The central section had a large chamber, supported by sturdy pillars that held up the upper structure.

The vehicle continued on until it finally reached the front of the main hall.

Lein looked up, his eyes gleaming with interest. Despite the origins of its technology, the structure still exuded a majestic aura fitting for its role in the Faithwarden Sect.

The front area of the main hall was a wide courtyard filled with broad pathways, spacious enough to accommodate dozens of people walking side by side. Following the path further, a tall staircase stood before them, leading up to a massive platform that seed to serve as the base of the main hall.

"We've arrived, sir. This is as far as I'm allowed to escort you," the guard said respectfully, turning to Lein.

Lein stepped down from the cart, followed by Laras and Efan. For a mont, he stared at the guard, then casually tossed a black pouch toward him.

"Thank you for bringing us," Lein said sincerely.

The guard's eyes sparkled for a mont before he swiftly caught the pouch. Without checking its contents, he imdiately stored it in his spatial ring.

"Thank you, Elder Lein," he said with genuine respect, his wide smile suggesting he had been hoping for a reward. Not wanting to linger, he turned around, climbed back onto the cart, and sped off toward the city gate.

Efan, who had been quiet all this ti, suddenly grinned widely. "Yosh!" he exclaid with excitent, his eyes gleaming like a child seeing a new toy for the first ti.

Laras rolled her eyes. "What was that? You're not the one who's an elder," she said flatly.

Efan froze in place. Awkwardly, he scratched his head and laughed sheepishly. "Ehehe… I'm just happy for Brother Lein," he muttered, glancing at Lein with an embarrassed look.

Laras only snorted lightly, then shifted her gaze to the towering main hall before them. The building looked grand and bustling, with streams of people steadily heading inside.

Lein didn't want to waste ti. "Alright, enough bickering. Let's go," he said as he stepped forward, joining the flow of people climbing the first staircase.

When they finally reached the top of the wide platform, Lein narrowed his eyes slightly. At the center of this platform, instead of an entrance, there was another staircase—much taller.

"More stairs?" Lein muttered, his brows furrowing slightly.

The design felt odd to him. Instead of leading directly to the main hall, they had to climb two layers of stairs, as if undergoing a physical endurance test.

Laras sighed softly. "Strange design," she comnted, her tone carrying a hint of complaint.

Lein let out a long breath. "Let's go," he said at last, then continued to follow the crowd heading toward the next set of stairs.

As they climbed, faint conversations from people around them began to reach his ears.

"Did you hear? The Maledictus Sect and Votum Sect finally clashed."

"What? They really started a war?"

"The sect has declared a full alert. All external missions have been suspended!"

Hearing that, Lein furrowed his brows. He had suspected the conflict would erupt eventually, but he hadn't expected it to happen this soon.

It was a concerning developnt, but not his concern for now. His focus was on increasing his own strength. Without sufficient power, he wouldn't be able to face whatever was coming in the future.

It didn't take long before they reached the top of the stairs and arrived at the first floor of the main hall. The area was vast, nearly like an open field surrounded by towering pillars. In the distance, the entrance to the main hall lood tall.

Lein and the others didn't say much. With steady steps, they headed straight toward it.

By the entrance, two uniford guards stood upright. As soon as their eyes landed on Lein, both of them imdiately bowed deeply.
