At the sa mont, a loud whirring sound echoed from the sky. Laras's airship appeared above the building, drawing the attention of everyone inside and outside. Without wasting any ti, Laras leapt from the ship, using her Vortex Plate to fly swiftly.
"Father! I'm here!" she shouted, her voice resonating loudly among the ruins.
Her father's eyes widened as he saw his daughter arrive just in ti. Quickly, Laras descended, positioning herself between the Tier-3 monkey and the building, ready to defend it.
Laras looked at the monkey with a calm deanor, though deep inside, she was furious because the monster in front of her was trying to harm her father.
"Laras, be careful, that monster is very strong!" her father shouted from inside the building.
His eyes, once filled with hopelessness, now glimred with renewed hope. He had regretted not leaving with the others earlier, but considering the assets he owned, he tried to protect and move them to a safer location.
Laras heard her father's cries but remained silent. Inside, she was also slightly angered by her father's greed. His wealth ant nothing to soone as powerful as her, so chasing after wealth in their current world was essentially useless.
Not far from where Laras stood, the Tier-3 monkey stood tall, nearly two and a half ters, with a body covered in thick brown fur that radiated power. His muscles bulged, and his long arms hung by his sides, his knuckles twitching as if ready to strike.
Laras looked at the monkey with disgust, a smug smile etched across her face. "Die," she muttered softly, but with strong determination.
The monkey felt a surge of anger boiling inside him, but at the sa ti, he was terrified by the weapon Laras wielded. A white cross floated above her palm, emitting a pure, sacred aura that made the hairs on his neck stand on end. "You don't know who you're dealing with, girl! I am the heir to the most powerful Heavenly Monkey bloodline!"
Laras remained unfazed. She hovered on her flying vortex plate, exuding a terrifying aura. Even though the monkey before her was also a Tier-3, she was confident in the attributes and items she possessed. With just the vortex plate under her feet, the monkey wouldn't be able to touch her.
The monkey braced himself, feeling the Tier-3 energy coursing through his body. He straightened, flaunting his massive muscles, proud of his high-tier race. "If you dare, co at ! I'll crush that arrogance of yours!"
In an instant, the air around them grew tense, ready for battle. Sure enough, right after the monkey finished his words, Laras had already moved her cross, launching it straight toward the Tier-3 monkey with incredible speed.
"Transform," Laras whispered softly.
With a quick hand gesture, the cross expanded, radiating a blinding holy light, and slamd down at the spot where the monkey stood.
The monkey's red eyes reacted swiftly, tracking the incoming cross. Instinctively, his legs tensed, preparing to leap away. |le|mp|y|r.
"Hahh..."
Although caught off guard, the monkey leaped with extraordinary reflexes. With a swift jump, he managed to dodge the blow that shattered the ground beneath him.
"Your cross is beautiful, but is that all you've got?!" he shouted mockingly.
"Hmph..." Laras muttered, her focus unwavering as she tracked the monkey's movents wherever he went. She moved her cross again and again, smashing it in different directions, generating waves of energy that shook the air.
The monkey struggled to dodge Laras' relentless attacks. Several tis, he narrowly avoided getting hit, but every ti he was flung a few ters away, he quickly regained his stance, ready to attack again. "You can't keep this up forever!" he growled, frustration mounting.
Laras sneered. "Keep running, you foolish beast!"
With extraordinary agility, the monkey leaped once more, dodging yet another attack. At this mont, he noticed that Laras' cross was slightly further from him. Reacting swiftly, his legs and hands worked together, and he launched himself directly toward Laras.
Seeing the monkey preparing to strike, Laras gave him no chance. A golden sword materialized out of thin air. She grabbed it effortlessly and rushed toward the monkey's attack head-on.
"Foolish beast, stay foolish," Laras said in a calm voice as she prepared to kill the monkey outright.
As the Tier-3 monkey lunged forward, his heart started to tremble. His instincts scread at him to retreat, but his body was already hurtling toward Laras. With his large hands, he pulled his right arm back slightly, forming a powerful fist enveloped in a green aura, ready to strike Laras.
"Argh..."
The imnse power radiating from his fist shook the air around him, a clear sign that he intended to end this fight with one deadly blow.
However, Laras remained unshaken. She stayed calm, even smiling slightly. The golden talisman protecting her body activated, emitting a soft, shimring light. Under her feet, the vortex plate's teleportation cooldown had ended, granting her full mobility. The golden sword in her hand glead brightly, ready to counter the attack.
She had prepared for all possible outcos. She knew the monkey would fall under her golden sword.
As the distance between them narrowed, the mont arrived. The monkey's fist, brimming with green energy, barreled toward Laras, while she gracefully swung her golden sword with swift, precise movent.
The loud clash resonated through the sky and ground. The green aura of the monkey's punch collided with the holy light of Laras' golden sword. A powerful energy wave exploded around them, creating a storm of force that pushed everything away. The ground beneath them cracked, and the air grew heavy, filled with pure power from both sides.
Yet, in that direct confrontation, Laras remained steady in the air, controlling her vortex plate with remarkable calm and poise.
"Arghhh..." a loud scream echoed. It was the cry of the Tier-3 monkey.
He felt the overwhelming power of Laras' strike, as her golden sword collided with his fist, a force he couldn't match. A roar of pain escaped his mouth as his body was flung backward, soaring past the crumbling buildings behind him.
Laras wasn't finished.
