Zhang Keyu walked back into the palace hall, a bit speechless. “Yes, Master,” he replied with a bitter smile.

Daoist Lord Qingxin looked at the master and disciple pair, and didn’t butt in. With a flick of his sleeves, he moved towards the 2nd layer of the Shangqing Dao Palace. “Sheng’er, co along with ,” he said to Xu Disheng through voice transmission.

The two of them went directly up to the 7th layer of the Dao Palace. On the 7th layer, there were four quiet halls, which were the Cultivation Hall, the Refinent Hall, the Storage Hall, and the Common Hall. Each of these palace rooms were extrely expansive and extravagant.

As they walked into the Cultivation Hall, Daoist Lord Qingxin said, “As I said earlier, you can’t continue to cultivate that Shangqing Qi from before. That was just so defective part sectioned out of the Shangqing Profound Laws, and was mainly for the martial artists of this land to cultivate qi, but it’s worthless to you.”

“Yes, Master,” Xu Disheng lowered his head in agreent as he followed behind him.

“I will pass the Shangqing Profound Laws onto you. These are the fundantal laws of the Shangqing Path, and can lead you to the Great Dao. You should cultivate it to the best of your ability,” Daoist Lord Qingxin said. He waved his sleeves, and a cyan jade slip flew out and landed on the ground.

Xu Disheng picked up the jade slip and stood back up with an awkward expression on his face.

“Hm?” Daoist Lord Qingxin’s brows slightly wrinkled as he looked at Xu Disheng.

This five year old child was both attractive and intelligent, but at this mont he stood there at a complete loss. He was indeed smart, but after receiving so much information at once, not knowing what exactly to do was quite normal.

Daoist Lord Qingxin’s tone imdiately beca a lot gentler. “Is there anything you want to say?” When Daoist Lord brought out the sect jade slip earlier, it brought up a lot of his mories of his past, so his mood was sowhat agitated.

“Master, I don’t know how to use this jade slip,” Xu Disheng said awkwardly, standing there as he held onto the jade slip.

Daoist Lord Qingxin’s face stiffened. He was a Profound Law Xiantian who had already reached the peak of his realm and was exalted by all the mortals in this land, but he was not a god. Adding onto his anxious mood earlier, Xu Disheng was always cool and collected, and spoke to him respectfully. As a result, he sohow overlooked the fact that he was only 5 years old.

He hadn’t practiced Profound Laws before, nor had he cultivated any Martial Techniques, so it was only natural for him to not know how to use the jade slip. Plus, it was worth noting that this record jade slip was refined by Daoist Lord Qingxin himself, and it couldn’t be operated unless one used Shangqing Profound Qi.

Daoist Lord Qingxin closed both of his eyes and revolved his Profound Energy to adjust his mood, suppressing the anxiety from before.

After a short while when he opened his eyes again, his look of calm tranquility had returned, and his ntal state had gone back to normal. “I will help you gain perception of qi, so sit down.”

Xu Disheng obeyed, sitting down cross-legged on the floor.

“You have Grade 2 Profound ridians, so perceiving qi won’t be too hard for you. I will use a stream of Shangqing Profound Qi to assist you. Make sure you firmly rember the route it takes.”

Humans had 36 ridian points, and there were 3 major ones among them. Those 3 Major Acupoints were the Baihui ridian point, the Shenque ridian point, and the Jianggong ridian point.

The Baihui ridian point was located on the top of the head, forming the sea of consciousness; the Shenque ridian point was at the heart, forming the Spirit Temple; the Jianggong ridian point was located at the lower dantian, forming the Jianggong Sea of Qi.

(TL Note: There was a confusion with the major ridian points earlier, which I have fixed. When they were ntioned in earlier chapters, the author hadn’t clarified where they were on the body yet, so I did a quick Google search to see where they were so the reader could get a better idea of what was happening. But it turns out that here, where the author is finally describing their locations, the author has given them a different location than is actually described in sources online. Not sure if this is an error on the author’s part or a choice since this is a fictitious world. Either way, I’ll be going with the ridian point locations the author has given here, and I’ve gone back to fix them accordingly.)

Daoist Lord Qingxin sent out a stream of Shangqing Profound Qi, which entered through the top of Xu Disheng’s head and began to circulate slowly through his ridians.

Xu Disheng had Grade 2 Profound ridians, so his talent was very exceptional. He also had the cyan jade flute constantly nourishing his entire body with qi. When the Shangqing Profound Qi began to flow through the ridians in his entire body, he suddenly felt his body grow hot, as if there was a power that wanted to erupt forth from his ridians. While he followed that stream of Shangqing Profound Qi as it circulated, he was also doing his best to perceive the qi in the surrounding area.

It was exceedingly mysterious, but if one had Profound ridians, it was actually possible to slightly feel the surrounding Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy. And if one absorbed it into their body, it would beco their own Profound Qi. But without Profound ridians, even if one sat there for a hundred years, they wouldn’t be able to feel even a single shred of Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy.

Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy was different from the essence of the sun and the moon. Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy had always existed since the origin of the world, but the number of people who could harness it was exceedingly small. Even those cultivators who practiced similar Martial Techniques that cultivated Astral Energy couldn’t match up to Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy at all.

Only after Martial Technique cultivators broke through to the Xiantian realm could they borrow the power of their sea of consciousness to forcefully use a small amount of Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy.

“Be diligent with perceiving the existence of Primordial Energy,” Daoist Lord Qingxin’s voice resounded in his ears.

Xu Disheng tightly closed his eyes. His world beca blanketed in an expanse of blackness, and his body began to feel like it was floating in midair. He began to feel out that small stream of light.

Suddenly, a strand of energy erged from a corner of that pitch darkness, brimming with unlimited vitality. Xu Disheng imdiately exerted all of his body and mind’s efforts to lock onto it. He envisioned the Jianggong ridian point in his mind and began to try to pull that strand of energy into it.

Having Grade 2 Profound ridians entailed a heavenly level of talent. Even if it could only be considered ordinary in the grand sche of the Spiritual Root Sequence, it was already among the highest of aptitudes in this world.

That strand of Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy that was overflowing with vitality slowly entered his Jianggong ridian point.

Bang!

As a loud sound ca from Xu Disheng’s body, the darkness surrounding him was split open, and his world beca bathed with radiance.

When Xu Disheng opened his eyes, he could perceive the sa aura from that stream of Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy spread throughout the world around him. And at this mont, he clearly understood. It was always around him, but it was just that he couldn’t feel it.

When Daoist Lord Qingxin saw that he had ford his own Shangqing Profound Qi, he withdrew his own stream of qi and nodded his head. When Xu Disheng developed perception of qi, he had already sowhat surpassed his expectations. Even though he was helping him, this result was outstanding.

After a mont of contemplation, he said, “From now on, you should cultivate by absorbing the Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy and transforming it into Shangqing Profound Qi. When your ridians are fully perated with Shangqing Profound Qi, then you’ll be considered to be at the Cleansed ridians stage.”

Xu Disheng was silently revolving the Shangqing Profound Laws, trying to absorb more Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy to strengthen that wisp of Shangqing Profound Qi, but he found his speed to be extrely slow.

After he finished one revolution, that wisp of Profound Qi only increased by a . If he didn’t carefully observe it, he might not have even noticed the increase at all. In fact, the thickness of the strand of Profound Qi had hardly changed at all.

When he heard what Daoist Lord Qingxin said, he lifted his head and asked, “Master, what realm is this Cleansed ridians stage equivalent to for martial cultivators?”

“The two can’t even be compared. You only need to know that Cleansed ridians stage profound cultivators can fight against martial Xiantians and have an enormous advantage.”

A light flashed in Xu Disheng’s eyes. “Then what about the Profound Law Xiantian realm?”

Daoist Lord Qingxin chuckled. “After you have absorbed all of the Shangqing Profound Qi within your ridians into your Jianggong ridian point and refine it into the Sea of Qi to form the Jianggong Sea of Qi, then you can begin to circulate Profound Qi endlessly. This is the Sea of Qi stage, which is considered to be what constitutes a Profound Law Xiantian!”

Xu Disheng nodded quietly.

Daoist Lord Qingxin glanced at him and continued, “If you beco a Profound Law Xiantian, your lifespan will increase by 500 years. I myself am already 230 years old.”
