Nina Sinclair’s heart skipped a beat, her face reddened as she said, "I didn’t..."

It’s said that you shouldn’t provoke a man in the morning, and it seems she unwittingly got herself into trouble.

However, she had serious matters to attend to today and couldn’t indulge in Julian Lancaster’s antics. Nina hurriedly stretched out her hand to push against Julian’s chest, saying, "Stop it, I have important work to do today."

Today was her product launch event, the first one she was hosting for Sinclair Group, crucial for her future standing in the company. That’s why she got up so early.

Julian buried his head in the crook of her neck, speaking in a husky tone, "What is it?"

"Today’s the launch event for my brand at Sinclair Group. I need to get there early to arrange everything."

Originally wanting to get cozy with Nina, Julian held back after hearing her explanation, showing considerable thoughtfulness.

Though Julian was fully capable of providing for Nina, he had no intention of letting her beco a full-ti housewife.

Nina had the capability to pursue her own career.

Whatever she wanted to undertake, he would wholeheartedly support all her endeavors.

Julian released Nina, saying, "Alright, go ahead and take care of your business."

...

Nina’s launch event was set to take place at a five-star hotel.

To undermine Nina, Ruby Sinclair had chosen to hold an event at the sa hotel, even in the banquet hall opposite hers.

Previously, after Nina left Sinclair Group, Ruby’s brand beca more renowned than Nina’s. Coupled with Ruby’s private suppression, Elysian’s counters were marginalized. Many were unaware that the brand belonged to Sinclair Group, and even assud it was so unknown small brand.

On top of that, Nina appeared as if she hadn’t secured any investnts. People on Ruby Sinclair’s side within Sinclair Group were all waiting to see Nina embarrass herself.

At the entrance to the hotel’s multifunction hall, Ruby’s people gathered in small groups, peeking and watching the situation on Nina’s side.

"Didn’t Nina Sinclair say she couldn’t secure any investnts? Why does it look like the setup is still quite luxurious?"

"Hmph, maybe she found so money sowhere just for show. Even if the decor is nice, how could it compare to ours!"

"Just wait until it’s dull and empty on Nina’s side, compared to ours—it’ll be hilarious."

"Let’s go tell Manager Sinclair."

A few of them clustered together and headed back into the banquet hall.

...

Inside the lounge.

"Manager Sinclair, we’ve had a look; there aren’t many people over on Nina Sinclair’s side. Everyone is flocking to ours."

The employees who went out to gather information were now reporting back to Ruby Sinclair about Nina’s situation. Upon hearing this, Ruby smirked coldly, her lips curling slightly.

She had invited a lot of people today.

Moreover, she had invited President Lennox from H Investnts. Although President Lennox initially refused, he later changed his mind and agreed.

Even though H Investnts’ funds hadn’t co through yet, she couldn’t help but worry that sothing might go wrong.

But since President Lennox had agreed to co, it seed unlikely there would be any issues.

With President Lennox from H Investnts backing her up, she was confident of overshadowing Nina’s launch today!

"Has President Lennox arrived?" Ruby asked her assistant nearby.

"Not yet..."

The launch was about to begin, but President Lennox hadn’t arrived. Although Ruby felt a bit anxious, rembering President Lennox’s acceptance of her invitation, she thought there’s no way he’d stand her up and felt reassured.

Just then, soone shouted at the door, "Manager, President Lennox from H Investnts has arrived!"

Joy filled Ruby’s face. She stood up and walked towards the door, "Let’s go greet him."
