Sharon Lancaster has a new identity, and Nina Sinclair’s life is back to normal. She was handling work when she received a phone call.
Seeing the caller ID, she was montarily dazed.
The call was from soone on the Sinclair Family’s side, supposedly her aunt, but Nina had not returned to the Sinclair Family for a long ti, and she was almost detached from past people and things.
Nina suppressed her thoughts and answered the call, "Hello, Aunt."
"Nina Sinclair, I heard you’re working at Zenith in Veridia now? I’m right downstairs from you; co down imdiately."
Hearing Leah Sinclair’s blunt voice, Nina’s expression slightly tensed.
She was sowhat curious about why Leah was looking for her, as strictly speaking, they were not very close.
The situation in the Sinclair Family is a bit complex right now.
Nina’s grandmother passed away early, and her grandfather, Old Master Sinclair, ford a new family, with the step-grandmother having her own sons and grandsons, making the Sinclair family structure relatively complicated, with the big family often competing secretly.
Old Master Sinclair has four children, and the Sinclair Family is under his control. The four of them constantly vie for the Sinclair Family’s assets, both openly and covertly.
Later, Byron Sinclair married Sharon Lancaster and independently established the Sinclair Group jewelry company. With the help of the Sherman Family, he improved considerably, and Old Master Sinclair started favoring him.
As Byron did increasingly well, his status within the Sinclair Family gradually changed, and others flattered him. But Nina knew that without the Sherman Family’s assistance, Byron could not have stood out among the Sinclair’s crowd.
Unfortunately, mother eventually misplaced her trust.
"Aunt, why did you co to Veridia to find ?" Nina asked, coming back to her senses.
"It’s hard to explain over the phone. Let’s discuss it in person."
After speaking, Leah Sinclair abruptly hung up the phone.
Nina sighed helplessly.
In the end, she gathered her things and went downstairs to et Leah Sinclair.
In the cafe downstairs at Zenith, Nina t Leah Sinclair, a manager within the Sinclair Group, a relatively assertive woman, dressed today in a beige professional outfit, her hair tied up high with light makeup, looking very capable and efficient.
Leah Sinclair hadn’t changed much from before and apparently hadn’t neglected her self-care despite her work.
Upon Nina’s appearance, Leah’s gaze fell on her, she scrutinized Nina, then pointed to the seat in front of her and said, "Nina, now that you’re here, have a seat."
Nina sat down opposite Leah, ordered a cup of coffee, then looked at Leah and asked, "Aunt, why did you co to Veridia today to find ?"
Leah’s face showed a mocking expression, and she said coldly, "Do you dare ask why I’m looking for you? Have you forgotten what date is coming up soon?"
Hearing Leah’s words, Nina beca even more curious; she truly didn’t rember what date it was.
Perhaps due to leaving the Sinclair Family, Nina was no longer concerned about their matters, let alone rembering so date.
The first feeling in Nina’s heart told her that Leah looking for her definitely ant sothing had happened with the Sinclair Family.
Her aunt has always been soone who doesn’t act without profit, and only when her own interests are at stake does she beco so attentive.
