Inside the CEO’s office.
Julian Lancaster was handling things when the phone on the desk rang frantically. He glanced at it; it was a call from Sharon Lancaster.
He picked it up and swiped to answer, "Hello."
"Bro! Why did you take so long to answer? Do you know sothing big happened? Oh, I’m so anxious I could die!"
Julian Lancaster frowned slightly, "What’s the matter?"
"Just now Nina contacted ... She sent a ssage, and you know what she said? She actually asked how to develop feelings with a man and wanted to give her advice. Do you think she really rekindled her old fla with Ethan Sherman after eting him?"
Sharon Lancaster gasped, "Could she want to develop feelings with Ethan Sherman? My God!"
"..."
Julian Lancaster said nothing but furrowed his brows even tighter, his face turning grim.
"Bro, you have to think of sothing. Is my sister-in-law going to be just gone like that? I worked so hard to get to this point!"
Sharon Lancaster was now almost going crazy with worry. She just knew that eting Nina’s white moonlight was bound to lead to trouble, and sure enough, sothing happened!
Julian Lancaster pressed his thin lips tightly, "Got it."
Then, he hung up the phone.
Considering Nina Sinclair’s strange behaviors last night and what she said to Sharon today, there was indeed a pattern.
Ethan Sherman had previously accepted his benefits to withdraw, but now, with the benefits in hand, he started having other thoughts.
It seems this man is not only spineless but also lacks any credibility whatsoever.
And yet Nina Sinclair seems to care so much about him.
Ethan Sherman didn’t do anything directly; he just secretly t Nina Sinclair once, perhaps said sothing, leading her to change her mindset.
At this mont, Julian Lancaster sowhat regretted not setting a date limit on Nina Sinclair’s signed work contract; he should’ve set it for fifty years!
Just then, Felix Ford happened to knock on the door and ca in to report work.
He entered the office and imdiately sensed the different atmosphere. Seeing Julian Lancaster’s gloomy face, he guessed sothing had made him unhappy.
Felix Ford steadied himself and approached to place the items in front of Julian Lancaster.
"President Lancaster, here’s the project progress report."
After speaking, Felix Ford turned around and left.
Returning to his position, he still bore a puzzled expression as if not understanding what was happening.
At that mont, Marcus Walsh imdiately leaned over upon seeing this.
"Why that expression, didn’t you manage to chase after a girl?"
Felix Ford shook his head and said, "No, I just went to President Lancaster’s office, saw his scary black face, and have no idea what’s happened."
Marcus Walsh touched his chin upon hearing this, "Recently, there hasn’t been any company issues, and President Lancaster’s relationship with Miss Sinclair is also quite harmonious; there really seems to be no problem..."
The two puzzled over it for a while but couldn’t figure out the key issue.
Finally, Marcus Walsh patted Felix Ford’s shoulder and said, "Anyway, since President Lancaster’s in a bad mood, let’s be careful recently. Don’t rush to confront him without reason; you don’t have any unfinished business, do you?"
"What could I possibly..." Felix Ford suddenly halted mid-sentence, slapped his forehead, and said, "There actually is!"
"What’s the matter?" Marcus Walsh asked, surprised.
"Previously Miss Sinclair’s mural was completed, but the company hasn’t settled her final paynt yet, I need to urge the finance departnt..."
Felix Ford said as he opened the computer to connect with the company’s finance.
Ten minutes later, Nina Sinclair received a remittance from the Zenith account. She was initially stunned and then rembered it was the final paynt for the mural.
With the paycheck received, Nina Sinclair’s mood lifted significantly.
Suddenly, as if she rembered sothing, she hurriedly took out her phone to send Julian Lancaster a ssage, "Are you free tonight?"
