As they left the restaurant, Sharon waved goodbye to Jas Grant.
Jas Grant’s smile was gentle and inclusive as he waved at Sharon.
After watching Evelyn Clayton and Sharon leave, Keith Donovan clicked his tongue beside him.
"You and Evelyn Clayton, really." Keith Donovan hesitated, "Today I saw sothing new."
Jas Grant didn’t respond and turned to get into the car, with Keith Donovan following him.
As the door closed, Jas Grant turned his gaze to Keith Donovan, his expression indifferent: "What did you get in for?"
Keith Donovan almost laughed in exasperation: "Can’t you even give a ride? How co you didn’t talk to Evelyn Clayton like this just now?"
"I’m pursuing her, not you." Jas Grant spoke flatly, but didn’t tell Keith Donovan to get out; instead, he instructed the driver to leave.
Keith Donovan was speechless for a mont, unable to co up with a rebuttal.
"If you ask , you’re completely wrapped around Evelyn Clayton’s finger." After a long pause, Keith Donovan managed to say this, sounding sowhat resentful, "With what she said earlier, as if all divorced couples in the world shouldn’t see each other if the kids don’t agree."
Jas Grant closed his eyes to rest, his voice indifferent: "She and I weren’t even a couple."
Strictly speaking, up until the ti Evelyn Clayton left, he never fully disclosed their relationship.
Back then, he thought a few sweet words could make Evelyn Clayton devote herself entirely, but in reality, Evelyn Clayton was a rose with thorns; her decisiveness and bravery were things Jas Grant had never seen in anyone else.

At that ti, he knew Matthew Sullivan was engaged to Philip Lockwood’s eldest daughter, and his curiosity broke his usual habit of avoiding family gatherings, so he went to take a look.
He would always rember Evelyn Clayton then, wearing a dark blue long dress, calm and elegant like a lady from a great family, as if one could see straight through from top to toe at a glance.
Jas Grant found it insipid, but soon he saw Evelyn Clayton drink a glass of champagne, her gaze unfathomably fixed on Matthew Sullivan and Harrison Grant.
In just that mont, Jas Grant knew that she was completely different from any woman he had ever t before.
After that, Jas Grant couldn’t stop himself from getting closer to Evelyn Clayton, like the opposite poles of a magnet; the more he learned, the closer he got, and the closer he got, the more he couldn’t help being drawn in.
And then it was out of control.
Keith Donovan looked at Jas Grant’s expression, and could almost guess what he was thinking.
He wanted to say sothing else, but then he thought better and swallowed back his words.
Keith Donovan sighed silently.
To be honest, he understood.
Their situation was more complicated than anything else, seemingly not sothing he could ddle in.
Therefore, there was no point in getting himself involved and attracting bla from both sides.
"About before, I was wrong." Keith Donovan suddenly spoke, "I’ve thought about it too, you two should sort this out yourselves. If it works out, I’ll co drink at your wedding. If not, I’ll help you find soone better."
"If you need help, just call anyti. I’ll go back tomorrow and keep an eye on Harvestide for you, so you can handle your things with peace of mind."
Hearing this, Jas Grant turned his gaze to Keith Donovan.
After who knows how long, Jas Grant revealed a faint smile, "Thanks."
Keith Donovan bead, "What’s there to thank?"
Then, he sighed again.
"Seems like it’s best not to ddle in other people’s business, otherwise complaints co from everywhere."
