As soon as Evelyn Clayton ca out and was about to drive, she saw Jas Grant’s Maybach returning.
She almost thought she was wrong, stopped in her tracks and looked suspiciously for a while before confirming.
She saw Jas Grant get out of the car and quickly walk up to Evelyn Clayton.
He stopped abruptly a step away from Evelyn Clayton, his eyes anxiously looking at her, as if afraid sothing had happened to her, scrutinizing her from head to toe.
Evelyn Clayton frowned, "Why did you co back?"
"I—" Jas Grant started to speak, but then felt it was inappropriate, so he got straight to the point.
He pulled up the news and handed it to Evelyn Clayton to see.
Evelyn Clayton took it and quickly flipped through it, her frown deepening, "I just saw it, what happened?"
Seeing Jas Grant’s hesitation, Evelyn Clayton misinterpreted and lightly raised an eyebrow, "Was the person in the car accident soone you knew?"
Jas Grant shook his head and said, "To be accurate, it’s soone you know."
Evelyn Clayton’s expression changed slightly, "Who?"
"I initially suspect it’s Principal Shaw."
Evelyn Clayton’s pupils widened abruptly, "What?"
Jas Grant told Evelyn Clayton the whole story of visiting Mrs. Shaw’s family.
"I suspect that this unlicensed car was specifically prepared for Principal Shaw, and then soone took his life," Jas Grant’s voice was hoarse, "Soone wants to kill him, and that person..."
Speaking, Jas Grant silently took a deep breath, "Evelyn, do you know who that person is?"
Evelyn Clayton’s lips moved slightly, and after a mont, she laughed hastily, seemingly mocking yet teasing, "If I did, wouldn’t that be a huge problem?"
After speaking, Evelyn Clayton continued, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave first."
She turned and got into the car, quickly leaving the hospital.
Jas Grant stood in place for a long ti before deciding to get into his car and instructed the driver to follow Evelyn Clayton’s car.
Evelyn Clayton was upset and didn’t notice Jas Grant’s car following behind to escort her.
She drove all the way back to Sinclair Family’s old residence, arriving close to midnight.
Once inside, Evelyn Clayton went straight to Shane Sinclair’s small building.
Shane Sinclair’s building was still lit, and as soon as Evelyn Clayton entered, she bumped into a maid who was coming out with dirty clothes. From the maid, she learned Shane Sinclair was having a video conference in the study on the second floor.
Evelyn Clayton went up to the second floor, seeing the study door was slightly open, and waited at the entrance.
Shortly, Shane Sinclair seed to spot her from inside and ca out.
"Just got back?" Shane Sinclair said, noticing Evelyn Clayton’s unusual expression, "What’s wrong? Is there anything?"
Evelyn Clayton subconsciously glanced at Shane Sinclair’s desk, "Is the eting over?"
"Paused for a bit, nothing serious." Shane Sinclair looked a bit more serious, "You look terrible, what’s going on?"
Evelyn Clayton took a deep breath, only now truly feeling frightened, "Just saw the news online, there was a major car accident on the Aethelburg highway. The crashed vehicle was an unlicensed car."
Speaking, Evelyn Clayton searched the news on her phone and handed it to Shane Sinclair to see.
Shane Sinclair was a bit confused, flipped through it and then looked at Evelyn Clayton puzzled.
"Soone told Principal Shaw got into this unlicensed car today. So, now, he is very likely already dead."
Shane Sinclair’s expression beca solemn, "Who told you this?"
Evelyn Clayton knew she couldn’t hide it, so after a brief thought, she told the truth, "It was Jas Grant."
