Winnie Wyatt instinctively felt that the person was showing off her relationship with Shane Sinclair.
But seeing the aningful smile on the other’s face, Winnie was a bit hesitant.
After a long pause, she gritted her teeth and asked, "So, what’s the deal between you and Director Sinclair?"
Evelyn Clayton chuckled.
After thinking carefully, she teased, "The stockholders’ eting is coming up soon, you’ll find out then."
With that, Evelyn stopped talking and turned to leave.
Winnie stood there, her emotions still a ss, feeling a bit lost for a while.
Wasn’t she just arguing with Evelyn Clayton?
When Evelyn returned to her office, May quickly followed her.
"How did it go?" May asked nervously, "Is she really leaving?"
Seeing her so anxious, Evelyn found it funny, "Do you want her to leave or not?"
May pouted, "I don’t know. In terms of work ability, Winnie Wyatt is indeed outstanding."
"Don’t worry, she’s not leaving." Evelyn laughed, "You two are more like a pair of frenemies than real enemies."
May looked horrified, "Evelyn! Don’t scare , alright?"
Evelyn laughed, "Alright, alright. But I’m not lying, she’s really not leaving. Besides, even if she submitted a resignation letter, she’d need to serve a month’s notice."
Hearing this, May’s expression showed a hint of disdain.
But her worried mind was relieved.
"Lucky her," May huffed, "I heard she directly retorted the big boss at the eting today. Guess she was scared of being sidelined, so she rushed to resign. But who would’ve thought, huh, she judged a gentleman’s heart with her own petty one!"
Evelyn was amused by May’s words, and then urged her, "Alright, go on with your work."
The little episode didn’t affect Evelyn’s mood, and before noon, she had pretty much wrapped up her handover.
Surprisingly, in the afternoon, the HR departnt inford Evelyn that she could directly transfer to the fashion design departnt.
Evelyn was surprised at Shane’s efficiency in setting up the team and felt a bit of anticipation.
She called May to join her and headed to the 19th floor, where the new fashion departnt was set up.
As soon as the elevator door opened, May took a deep breath and remarked, "The sll of fresh renovation is so nice!"
Evelyn teased her, "Do you just like new things? Can’t wait to co to the new departnt."
"Yes!" May readily admitted, "To be honest, I was more interested in fashion design in college, but my mom insisted it wasn’t a good field and made choose jewelry. I guess now my dream is coming true!"
The two of them walked around the new departnt and saw that a few employees were already there, gradually setting things up at their workstations.
Upon seeing Evelyn arrive, several people quickly greeted her.
"You’re here already?" Evelyn responded, quite surprised to see the employees who had been transferred from other Apex jewelry brands.
One of the employees laughed and said, "Yes, we were even thinking about arranging a welco party for you."
"No need, no need," Evelyn quickly declined, "Everyone just carry on normally, and once everyone’s here, I’ll treat you all to dinner."
Leaving the 19th floor, May clicked her tongue in wonder, "I even saw a few people from Mystery over here. Is the formation really this big?"
