Winnie Wyatt’s eyes gradually reddened, showing more defiance, "Anyway, I will never submit to soone like you."
After saying this, Winnie turned around and left angrily.
Evelyn Clayton stood in place, feeling both amused and helpless.
Soon, Evelyn returned to the Jewelry Departnt.
As she entered the office, May excitedly approached her, holding a cup of coffee.
"Congratulations, Evelyn!" May handed her the coffee, "Co, let’s have a small celebration, I’ll treat you to dinner tonight!"
Evelyn chuckled, "What’s going on?"
May spoke mysteriously, "I heard that you’re going to be the new director of the fashion design departnt. Although it’s an undeveloped area, Director Sinclair has promoted you to Vice Director!"
Evelyn sipped her iced coffee and shook her head with a smile, "You only heard half of it, there’s going to be a re-election."
"What does that matter? It’s just to keep people quiet!" May said proudly, "In everyone’s mind, the Vice Director position is definitely yours."
Evelyn smiled and said nothing more, heading directly to her office.
May followed her closely, laughing, "So, Evelyn, when are you going to the new departnt?"
Evelyn thought for a mont, "That side is still tidying up, and the staff hasn’t been fully arranged, probably another two days."
May’s eyes lit up, "So Evelyn, will you take with you?"
Evelyn glanced at her playfully, "You know that place is undeveloped, even if you keep your current position, there might not be as much bonus as there is now."
"So what?" May exaggerated her expression, "Evelyn, do you see as soone who only cares about that bit of money? Please, I have big ambitions!"
Seeing Evelyn smiling but silent, May hugged her arm and begged, "Please, Evelyn, take with you! I also want to have a chance to be a Vice Director. Here, there’s definitely no opportunity for anymore, Winnie Wyatt sees as a thorn in her side! She would never give that chance!"
Once Evelyn officially transfers to the fashion departnt, the vacated Director position would undoubtedly go to Winnie.
The Vice Director position needs approval from the Director, and May has a poor relationship with Winnie, so there’s indeed no chance for her here.
Evelyn had already planned to take May along, and she needed May’s skills.
Right now, she was just teasing her.
"But I rember your undergrad and grad fashion design were only minor, can you handle it?" Evelyn asked, holding back her laughter.
May saw hope and quickly responded, "I can start by drafting designs! Even if I begin as a design assistant after I go there!"
Evelyn chuckled, pinching her face, "Alright, go ahead. If your design drafts pass, you’ll continue as the Director’s special assistant. After Apex’s first fashion show, if your work is outstanding, I’ll tell the big boss about promoting you to Vice Director."
May was thrilled and gave Evelyn a peck on the cheek.
"I knew you’re the best!"
Watching the happy May turn and leave, Evelyn smiled helplessly.
She turned on the computer and began to organize work handover docunts.
After a while, the office door was knocked again.
May returned with a serious expression.
She placed a file in front of Evelyn.
"Evelyn, Winnie Wyatt over there has submitted a resignation letter."
