Evelyn explained calmly, "I didn’t ntion it before because it wasn’t necessary. No one’s asked , and I can’t just randomly drop into a conversation that I have a daughter, right?"
"True... but you’ve kept it really well!" May’s curiosity was eating her up, "But Evelyn, how do you have a child without being married?"
Saying this, May suddenly had an epiphany, "I get it, it’s the latest trend of having a kid without a father! Was it through IVF?"
Evelyn couldn’t possibly tell her the truth and just smiled, "Kind of."
"What do you an, ’kind of’? Was it IVF or not?" May was dying with curiosity.
Evelyn nodded vaguely, "Yes, yes it was."
May exclaid in awe, looking envious, "Evelyn, you’re so brave! Even though many people talk about doing it, how many actually have the guts to go through with it? But do your family know about this?"
"The child is with her grandparents now." Evelyn smiled, "Otherwise, when she was in the hospital recently, I wouldn’t have any ti to co to the company."
May nodded, "No wonder!"
Then, May laughed slyly, "So Evelyn, can I tell others about this?"
Evelyn shook her head with amusent, "Feel free. But don’t go broadcasting it everywhere. If it cos up in conversation, then fine, but don’t tell everyone you see."
"Don’t worry, don’t worry!"
