Jas Grant slightly frowned and sat up straight.
"What do you an?"
Keith Donovan chuckled and said, "I ca to Aethelburg to keep you company! It’s cold here, and you’re not having much luck, so of course, I have to help you."
Jas understood the deeper aning in Keith’s words, his tone becoming a bit cooler, "You found out?"
"Tristan and I both know." Keith made no attempt to hide it, "We used so little tricks, don’t ask how exactly! You just need to know that I’m here to back you up!"
Jas sneered lightly and said, "What kind of backup can you give ? You’d better go back."
Though he said that, Jas couldn’t help but spring into action.
Half an hour later, Jas arrived at the airport.
Soon, Jas picked up Keith.
"Whoa, is it really this cold here?"
Keith sneezed several tis as soon as he got in the car, "It’s way too cold, I thought a few hoodies would be enough!"
"This is the north, not Riversend." Jas glanced at him, seeing Keith wearing a thin trench coat, almost useless against the cold.
Keith rubbed his hands, taking a while to warm up, "Then you have to prepare clothes for , take good care of , or who will be your backup?"
Speaking of backup, Jas frowned, "What exactly are you here for?"
"To help you," Keith said seriously, "It’s not easy to pursue your wife, huh?"
Upon hearing this, Jas realized Keith and Tristan probably knew most of what’s going on in Aethelburg.
He slightly narrowed his eyes, his tone dangerous, "How exactly did you find out? Who told you?"
Seeing Jas was getting serious, Keith quickly confessed the truth.
"...Don’t bla Quentin either," Keith turned serious, "He saw how bad you’re doing and asked to co over to persuade you. You know , I’m a big mouth, can’t keep things to myself..."
Jas didn’t bother to respond to him.
Keith hurriedly promised, "Don’t worry, Tristan and I won’t tell a third person, absolute secrecy!"
Jas shot him a cold look, "Aren’t you a big mouth?"
"I won’t spill to outsiders. Otherwise, how have we been brothers all these years?" Keith laughed, "Now, what’s the exact situation, tell your buddy? Have you really found Evelyn Clayton?"
Over the phone, Quentin only told Keith that Jas found Evelyn Clayton here, but she still hadn’t agreed to anything, so Jas was stuck here.
Regarding the child and the Sinclair Family’s situation, Quentin dared not say a word.
As long as Keith was here, whether to tell him was up to Jas.
Jas had already ntally calculated how much to deduct from Quentin’s salary, replying indifferently, "Why ask if you already know?"
"It’s just surprising! Honestly, I always thought Miss Clayton was surely dead." Keith clicked his tongue in amazent, "I never expected it’d still be her, not only alive but completely changed."
After saying this, Keith realized he might have been a bit impolite.
He coughed lightly, looking at Jas’s slightly gloomy face, "So, what stage is your relationship with her at now?"
What stage?
A self-deprecating smile flashed in Jas’s eyes.
To speak of any stage, there has to be a relationship first.
Between them, there’s nothing left, and he shouldn’t entertain any fantasies.
