Evelyn Clayton’s temple throbbed with anger as she forced herself to stay calm, "Since there was sothing, why didn’t you tell last night?"
"It just ca to suddenly."
"Tell over the phone."
"It’s business."
"Business can also be discussed over the phone."
"This is a formal project eting, and there are other people attending. Otherwise, I wouldn’t ask you to co over now."
Evelyn Clayton felt impatient but still got up and walked towards the door, "Understood. I’ll take a cab over now."
As soon as she arrived at The Grant Group’s parking lot, Evelyn saw Iris Lockwood’s car enter before hers.
Her intuition told her sothing was wrong, so she quietly followed Iris Lockwood.
"Marcus~ I’ll wait for you in the car."
Iris Lockwood’s affected voice echoed throughout the parking lot, giving Evelyn goosebumps.
Before long, Matthew Sullivan hurried over.
Evelyn was a bit taken aback.
Wasn’t Matthew avoiding Iris Lockwood like the plague? Why is he coming over so obediently to find her?
"Iris, the money?" Matthew Sullivan wasted no ti as soon as he arrived.
"Here it is."
Iris Lockwood handed the card to Matthew Sullivan, "Look, the thing I promised you, I’ll get it done no matter what. This is thirty million."
Though it’s only thirty million, it’s enough to alleviate imdiate troubles.
"Iris, you’re really my lucky star." Matthew Sullivan held Iris Lockwood’s face and gave her a strong kiss.
Iris Lockwood was so flattered by his words, she was already dazed and confused.
"If you need help with anything else, just let know. I’ll discuss it with my dad. After all, you’re his future son-in-law, and he will definitely assist."
"Alright."
Partners in cri.
Evelyn Clayton couldn’t bear to watch anymore.
Seeing no one else in the parking lot, Iris Lockwood slid her hand from the button into her clothing collar.
"What are you doing?" Matthew Sullivan grabbed her hand, "This is a parking lot, don’t ss around."
"I’m not ssing around. Marcus, I can’t just give away thirty million for free. You have to give sothing in return." Iris Lockwood flashed a seductive smile, "After all, no one is a fool, right?"
Matthew Sullivan’s face changed slightly, "Are you saying, you want to spend thirty million to hire ?"
"How could it be hiring?" Iris Lockwood hooked her arm around his, "It’s my sincerity! Marcus, you’ve seen my sincerity, shouldn’t you also show yours—"
Matthew Sullivan gritted his teeth, steeled his heart, held her face, and kissed her deeply.
Although he didn’t like her, considering the thirty million, reluctantly kissing her wasn’t a problem.
The two were passionately kissing, too absorbed to notice soone nearby witnessing the scene.
Even though Evelyn Clayton had no feelings for Matthew Sullivan, seeing him entangled with Iris left her inevitably disgusted.
Evelyn wanted to leave but turned around only to collide with a solid chest.
"Ouch."
Evelyn covered her nose, looked up in surprise.
It was Jas Grant!
"Shh—"
She instinctively pulled Jas Grant to hide behind a nearby pillar.
Jas Grant’s eyes were full of amusent; he seed to not want to leave just yet, but under Evelyn Clayton’s warning gaze, he nodded in agreent.
Evelyn felt relieved, prepared to leave from behind the pillar, but unexpectedly bumped into a trash can.
The trash can fell to the ground, making a loud sound.
The two entwined in passion got alard by the noise, hurriedly headed in the direction of the sound.
"Who’s there?! Who is it?!"
"Ugh." Evelyn Clayton frowned, not wanting to bump into Matthew Sullivan.
With nowhere to hide, and no cover around her, she had no choice but to face them.
