"No, Evelyn, what were you thinking?"

May followed Evelyn Clayton into the office, looking anxious.

Evelyn sat behind the desk, turned on her computer that she hadn’t touched in almost a year, and casually replied, "What do you an?"

"Winnie Wyatt just casually ntioned it, and you agreed?" May was frantic, "If she really gets her way, who will call the shots in the design departnt in the future?"

Evelyn pulled up the company work-sharing group files, which contained Apex’s concept launch plan for this quarter’s Laprite jewelry.

After seeing the images inside, Evelyn pondered for a mont and said, "Nadia Archer, I know. She does seem quite suited to the new season’s jewelry style at the mont. What’s wrong?"

"No, but Ivy isn’t bad either! And you personally chose her, she’s one of our own, right? Now with this sudden change, even if it’s easy to explain to Ivy, how will the design departnt employees view you in the future?"

The more May spoke, the more agitated she beca, "They’ll definitely think it’s all Winnie Wyatt calling the shots!"

Evelyn chuckled, "Isn’t that how it is now? Look at the eting just now. If Winnie Wyatt hadn’t spoken up, they wouldn’t have even done the work reports."

"That’s because..." May was at a loss for words, "That’s because Winnie Wyatt is crafty! She’s got dirt on a lot of people! She’s cozy with the HR director, everyone’s afraid of being sabotaged by her!"

Evelyn shook her head with a smile, "May, it doesn’t matter what it is. What’s important is that Winnie Wyatt is indeed competent, and there’s nothing wrong with her proposal. If I obstruct, it will only backfire. We’ll discuss it after the shareholders’ eting results are out."

After all, she’s attending this year’s shareholders’ eting, and her identity will inevitably be exposed then. When Winnie Wyatt learns about her identity, she might naturally restrain herself a little.

Actually, this was also the main reason Pauline Warren transferred shares to her last year.

The Sinclair family wanted her to begin making a mark with the identity of "Shannon Sinclair."

Evelyn didn’t resist this.

After all, with this layer of identity, many things would be more convenient to handle.

"Sis, why are you becoming more Buddhist now?" May, seeing she wasn’t moved, collapsed on the sofa, "Do you know how excited I was when the big boss said you were officially back at Apex today? I’ve endured Winnie Wyatt’s corruption for so many years, just waiting for your return to give my all for you! How can you be so unmotivated..."

Listening to May’s complaints, Evelyn couldn’t stop laughing.

"Alright, stop complaining. Instead of wasting ti whining to , how about organizing and summarizing the departnt’s work situation and personnel changes from the past two years? I just saw a lot of new faces."

May lingered on the sofa for a while before getting up, muttering, "Okay, I’ll go. But you can’t just let Winnie Wyatt off like that! Although you’re probably right...but you can’t just concede like that!"

Watching May mumble as she left, Evelyn shook her head with a smile and started sorting through the files sent from the company’s intranet on her computer.

However, less than ten minutes later, May ca rushing back.

"Evelyn, soone downstairs has an appointnt to see you."

Evelyn was busy, not even raising her head, "Who is it?"

"He said his last na is Gu, didn’t give a first na. According to Xiaoling at the front desk, he’s super handso! A real hunk, asking if you have ti for lunch!"
