"Tell the truth?"

Iris Lockwood looked at Evelyn Clayton wide-eyed, taking a while to digest it, "Are you sure? Tell her her real father is that guy Jas Grant, and then have her acknowledge Samuel Quinn as her dad?"

Yara Reagan was equally hesitant, "Shouldn’t we think it over? Kids are easy to fool, just give them a little fib, and they’ll be fine with it."

Evelyn Clayton hesitated greatly, "I don’t want to lie to Sharon. I’m afraid she’ll resent if she finds out later. Besides, she’s bound to et Jas Grant in the future, what should we do then?"

Blood ties are a truly wondrous thing, and they’re also Evelyn Clayton’s biggest fear.

When Jas Grant saw Sharon, she almost had a premonition that Jas would instinctively think Sharon is his child.

Whether Sharon would have that premonition, Evelyn didn’t know.

After all, she was only five years old.

"How could she? Sharon loves you the most; she’s been with you for so many years and surely she can understand you," Yara reassured Evelyn, "So things don’t need to be explained so clearly to her."

Evelyn pressed her lips together, about to speak, when Sharon ca tumbling down the stairs.

She was wearing a beautiful pink tulle dress, incredibly excited, she twirled in front of them and eagerly asked, "Mommy, Auntie, Aunty, does my dress look pretty?"

Iris Lockwood was the first to respond, exclaiming, "So pretty! Sharon looks good in anything she wears!"

Sharon pouted and muttered, "Aunty, you’re exaggerating! Mommy, do you think it’s pretty?"

To Sharon, Evelyn Clayton, a designer, has always been the mommy at the fashion forefront, earning her trust and admiration.

"It does look nice, but there are plenty more to try, Sharon, want to pick so with ?" Evelyn asked with a smile.

Sharon nodded eagerly and turned to race upstairs again.

The nanny hurriedly followed her, afraid she might fall.

After Sharon went up, Evelyn lowered her voice and said, "Let’s put this matter aside for now. We’ll address it when the ti is right."

At six in the evening, Evelyn Clayton took Sharon, along with Shane Sinclair, Yara Reagan, and Iris Lockwood, to the party.

In the end, Sharon still wore the pink tulle dress, with her hair styled like a princess, and even made a point of pinning a brooch on herself.

Cuddling Sharon in the car, Evelyn praised her beauty, Sharon giggled and hugged Evelyn’s neck, asking, "Will Uncle Samuel like more then, and be my daddy?"

With those words, an eerie three-second silence fell in the car.

Shane Sinclair turned his head and looked at Evelyn with an indecipherable expression, then at Sharon, speaking cryptically, "Do you want Uncle Samuel to be your daddy, Sharon?"

"Of course! Uncle Samuel is handso, and he gives so many gifts! Plus, Uncle Samuel is really nice to Mommy!" Sharon spoke with increasing excitent, "Uncle, Uncle Samuel would surely make a great daddy for !"

Evelyn Clayton felt a bit unexpectedly awkward, clearing her throat and saying, "Sharon, you can’t say that when you see Uncle Samuel later."

Sharon blinked her innocent big eyes, "Why not?"

"Well, Uncle Samuel has thin skin, he’d be embarrassed," Evelyn made an excuse, "Anyways, Sharon needs to be a little reserved, don’t scare Uncle Samuel, okay?"

Sharon nodded in half-understanding, obediently saying, "Alright then, I’ll listen to Mommy."

"That’s my good girl." Evelyn patted Sharon on the head.
