Evelyn Clayton returned to the bedroom and fell asleep imdiately.
When she woke up again, it was already dark outside. As if sensing it, Aunt Liu ca to knock on the door.
"You’re awake?" Aunt Liu’s voice was filled with concern, "Are you feeling unwell?"
Evelyn took a mont to fully wake up and then shook her head, "I’m fine."
"Mr. Grant just called to say he’d co back to have dinner with you. You can co downstairs now." Aunt Liu said quietly, as she moved forward to help her up.
Evelyn’s mind was still a bit sluggish. It wasn’t until Aunt Liu leaned over to turn on the bedside lamp that she subconsciously asked, "What ti is it?"
"It’s almost eight o’clock."
Aunt Liu practically guided Evelyn out of the bedroom, not allowing her any chance to refuse.
Evelyn felt sothing was off. Just as she was about to ask, Aunt Liu whispered, "Have you contacted Miss Ruan?"
Her steps paused slightly on the stairs, and Evelyn, trying to remain expressionless, softly said, "Not yet."
"You should do it soon."
After saying this, Aunt Liu didn’t speak again and helped Evelyn downstairs.
The dining room was filled with the aroma of food. Evelyn sniffed and didn’t find it repulsive.
Since she beca pregnant, except for a few tis when she was slightly stressed and the incident with the turtle soup, she hadn’t been bothered by food.

Suppressing the urge to touch her belly, Evelyn sat idly at the dining table, waiting for Jas Grant to return.

"I’m just here to have dinner with you. After that, I have to go back; there’s still work to finish." Jas’s voice was relatively gentle as he placed a bowl of corn rib soup in front of Evelyn, "You don’t like turtle soup, is this okay?"
