A while ago, Jas Grant was busy looking for Evelyn Clayton, and then occupied with keeping her within his territory, so he didn’t inquire about Keith Donovan’s matters.
As they chatted today, Jas Grant casually asked, "Why did it fall apart if things were going well? Is Lynn Yates really not interested in him?"
"That’s probably the reason," Tristan Hawthorne said earnestly, "Can you find another Lynn Yates in all of Riversend? She’s got the Yates Family firmly in her grasp, and her father’s illegitimate children outside haven’t caused any stir, thanks to Lynn Yates’ efforts."
Jas Grant sneered, "Charles Yates won’t let Lynn really inherit the Yates Family. He’s just holding off to let his eldest daughter grow the family bigger, then hand it over to his useless sons."
The only legitimate children of Charles Yates are Lynn and Clara Yates, and the only one who can hold the fort is Lynn. Those illegitimate sons and daughters kicked up a fuss so years ago, but have gone silent in recent years.

"Lynn made it clear she’s never taken marriage or romance seriously this life, only considering whether a marriage could bring her benefits and if she could beco the chairman of The Yates Group."
"Kieran’s family is wealthy, but he doesn’t have real power; his two elder brothers from his father’s first wife are tough nuts. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have such a shallow family relationship and hang out with us... Overall, let’s be cautious."
