After hearing the suggestion, Iris Lockwood hesitantly raised her hand, "I think Yara’s proposal is spot on, I support it too."
Jas Grant looked calm and composed, and did not show any anger at the proposal.
After a while, he nodded, "Alright, I agree."
Yara Reagan breathed a subtle sigh of relief and looked at Evelyn Clayton, seeing her appear indifferent with a hint of a smile on her lips, seemingly carefree, which reassured her.
The al went fairly well with both hosts and guests enjoying themselves.
As they were leaving, Jas initially wanted to drive Evelyn ho, but Yara forcefully intervened.
"Iris and I will take her ho," Yara stood between them, her tone firm, "Everyone goes ho separately tonight!"
Jas sighed helplessly and looked at Evelyn.
Evelyn smiled, "I’ll head ho first; we’ll talk tomorrow if there’s anything."
Seeing Evelyn agree, Jas couldn’t say anything more, but began contemplating.
Next ti they go out for dinner, he would bring Trevor Hawthorne along.
After all, Trevor seed quite interested in Yara, so he might just whisk her away then.
Jas drove off first, while Yara and Iris, on either side of Evelyn, practically dragged her into their car.
Evelyn found it rather amusing, "Is this really necessary?"
Yara started the car with a serious face, "How is it not necessary? You’ve learned to act first and report later, who knows what you’ll get up to once you’re out of our sight?"
When they got to Evelyn’s house, Yara shut the door and sat on the sofa alongside Iris, facing Evelyn as though it was an interrogation, looking at her sternly.
Evelyn sat opposite them, composed, "Ask whatever you want."
Yara crossed her arms and squinted, scrutinizing Evelyn, "When exactly did you reconcile? I don’t believe you just made up with Jas today. Have you been hiding it from us for a while?"
Iris added fuel to the fire, "Exactly! How could it happen so quickly?"
"That’s how fast it happened," Evelyn laughed helplessly, "We reconciled this morning, and we’ve been together all afternoon—here, at my place."
Yara was montarily stunned, then she quickly realized, blushing slightly.
"Stop changing the subject!" Yara said seriously, "Then tell us, how did you two make up today? It couldn’t have been a random encounter and then you suddenly reconcile, right? Didn’t you plan to et up?"
Evelyn nodded earnestly, "It really was by chance, don’t doubt it. We really ran into each other accidentally. Since he’s broken off the engagent with Lynn Yates, he asked for another chance. I thought it was worth a try, so I agreed."
Yara was frustrated, "How could it be nothing? You’re being reckless! You know he just broke up with Lynn, right? Now you’re just jumping into hot water."
By the barrage of questions, it was clear how overwheld Yara was.
Iris remained relatively calm.
She thought for a mont, looking at Evelyn, then asked, "Evelyn, do you really still have feelings for him and that’s why you reconciled, or is there another reason you have?"
These words brought Yara back to reality; she looked at Evelyn, recalling the phone call Evelyn had taken in the car that day.
Just as she was about to say sothing, Evelyn interrupted her.
"Everything is just following its course naturally, don’t read too much into it," Evelyn’s eyes lingered on Yara with a mysterious implication.
But Yara understood, and quietly closed her mouth.
"I have my own plans," Evelyn reassured, "Don’t worry about ."
