A bolt of lightning split the sky, enveloping the old Grant Family house in the rainy night.
Jasper Grant held a black umbrella, slowly walking under the trees near the side gate of the old Grant Family house.
Raindrops pattered against the umbrella, a crisp and clear sound that carried a shadowy undertone.
His expression was indifferent, with his face partly obscured by the rain’s mist.
Soon, at the end of the tree-lined path, appeared a figure dressed in a black raincoat.
Jasper Grant’s lips curved slightly, his eyes held an indistinct and dark light.
He walked forward slowly, gradually approaching the shadowy figure.
Finally, the shadow lifted its head, revealing a sullen and desolate face.
"Third brother, long ti no see." Jasper Grant wore a gentle and elegant smile, sizing up the person before him, "You don’t seem to be doing well."
Matthew Sullivan snorted coldly, extending his hand: "Where’s the stuff?"
Unruffled, Jasper Grant reached into his coat and pulled out a bank card sealed in a plastic bag, handing it to Matthew Sullivan.
Matthew Sullivan took it, glanced at the card’s surface, scoffed lightly before slipping it into his pocket.
"Marcus, are you sure you don’t want to go in and see Dad?" Jasper Grant’s eyes carried a smile, "He’s been quite keen on seeing you lately."
"What, the eldest son disobedient, the second son ambitious, and now he rembers ?" Matthew Sullivan sneered, staring frankly at Jasper Grant, "You’ve been quite capable lately, haven’t you managed to win the old man’s favor?"
Jasper Grant squinted slightly, chuckling softly, "You, , big brother, we’re all Dad’s sons. This is implying that Dad plays favorites? Third brother, you’re overthinking it. Of course Dad has you in his heart, or how else would he give you funding to operate?"
Matthew Sullivan snorted through his nose, not responding.
Jasper Grant leisurely watched him for a while, then suddenly took out another card and handed it to Matthew Sullivan.
"This is my token of goodwill." Jasper Grant’s eyes curved slightly, "I know you’ve had many expenses recently, don’t be too frugal."
Matthew Sullivan’s eyes showed hesitation, slowly taking it: "You... what do you an?"
Jasper Grant seed puzzled: "Literal aning. Third brother, though I don’t know what you’ve been busy with lately, as your older brother, let give a little advice: don’t think about opposing big brother and the person he likes. I heard that this afternoon, Gem had so trouble and got criticized on trending searches; big brother doesn’t know about this yet. If he finds out, he’ll probably be anxious and angry. Stay away from him, alright?"
Matthew Sullivan’s eyes flashed with a glint, hiding so smugness.
That gleam was fully captured by Jasper Grant’s keen eyes.
He lowered his eyes, concealing a slightly obscured smile.
"Second brother, you should worry less!" Matthew Sullivan turned to walk into the rain, halting halfway.
Matthew Sullivan’s voice ca clearly through the sound of rain, "I will definitely make Jas Grant and Evelyn Clayton pay the price they deserve! As for you, you’d best not beco a stumbling block!"
With that, Matthew Sullivan strode away, vanishing into the rainy night.
Jasper Grant watched his departing figure, with a barely perceptible smile.
After a long ti, he took out a voice recorder with a flashing red light from his pocket, his expression playful.
Interesting, very interesting.
What kind of situation would it create if this were given to his dear big brother?
Jasper Grant nearly cheerfully wandered back ho.
Back in his bedroom, Jasper Grant exported the recording, edited it slightly, then opened a ssage box with no notes, and sent it over.
After doing all this, Jasper Grant’s smile grew deeper.
Outside the window, lightning rang out once more.
