Yara Reagan took Evelyn Clayton ho, and then conveniently called Iris Lockwood.
Iris Lockwood had been busy with Aegis’s affairs recently and hadn’t been in touch with them for a while, but when she heard sothing happened with Evelyn, she ca over quickly.
Upon hearing that John Jacobs had died, Iris Lockwood’s reaction was exactly like Yara Reagan’s.
"He’s really dead?" Iris Lockwood’s eyes widened, "So suddenly?"
Evelyn Clayton didn’t want to discuss this topic any further. She had already cald down a lot, so she asked, "How is Aegis doing recently?"
"I’ve fired a large number of people, undergoing a major overhaul." Iris Lockwood sighed, "It’s probably not easy to make a profit. It was a small entertainnt company to begin with. Even before anything happened, so artists had sensed sothing was wrong and unilaterally terminated their contracts. Now it’s even more weak and isolated."
After thinking for a long ti, an idea struck Evelyn Clayton: "I rember, Nadia Archer is also an artist under Aegis, right? Has she terminated her contract?"
Iris Lockwood was slightly taken aback, then rembered: "Yes. She hasn’t terminated her contract, but Nadia Archer is almost a nobody in the entertainnt world now, so it doesn’t make any difference whether she cancels it or not."
Aegis, this entertainnt company, is not professional. Under Philip Lockwood’s managent, it underwent a transformation for a while in the past couple of years, but it all ended in a fiasco.
But Nadia Archer was different.
Evelyn Clayton rembered that a few years ago, Nadia Archer was popular for a while after starring in a film by a renowned cody master in the country, although her performance was lacking.
She just hasn’t appeared much in the past two years, seemingly abandoned by Aegis.
Nadia Archer has an excellent figure, with broad shoulders, a slim waist, and long legs, and was once jokingly referred to as the most beautiful female codian.
Such a promising talent, if well managed, might be the key to Aegis’s resurgence.
"Although you’re managing Aegis now, the shares are in my hands, so I’ll say a few more words." Casting aside her earlier listlessness, Evelyn Clayton’s eyes brightened, "Gem’s brand clothing is about to launch, and we need a suitable spokesperson. Aegis also needs a chance to breathe."
Upon hearing this, Iris Lockwood imdiately understood, "So you’re suggesting, let Nadia Archer..."
"Exactly." The smile in Evelyn Clayton’s eyes slightly widened, "Her appearance is very suitable, isn’t it? As long as we find the right selling point, we might spark sothing different."
The two beca more excited as they talked, and Yara Reagan helplessly knocked on the table: "Evelyn, I asked Iris Lockwood to co to keep you company, so why are you two talking about work again?"
Iris Lockwood snapped back to reality and hurriedly said, "Let’s not talk about it now. I’ll discuss it with Nadia Archer when I get back! I’ve managed to retrieve so of the money my dad took, so I can still keep Nadia Archer!"
Evelyn Clayton nodded upon hearing this and couldn’t help but ask, "So, how are Philip Lockwood and Charlotte Sterling doing now?"
"My dad has disappeared." Iris Lockwood’s expression darkened a bit, "Nine tis out of ten he’s hiding from creditors. He secretly contacted a few tis, either threatening or tempting to return the shares to him or insulting for being ungrateful. As for Mom—"
She paused and glanced at Evelyn Clayton.
Seeing Evelyn Clayton remain calm, Iris Lockwood continued.
She spoke with a suppressed voice, "Charlotte Sterling, she’s filed for divorce from my dad, and she’s gone abroad."
Evelyn Clayton wasn’t surprised and let out a soft laugh.
She always knew Charlotte Sterling would never let herself suffer.
"Alright, enough about that." Yara Reagan tily interrupted the unpleasant topic, "Iris, why don’t you stay here with Evelyn for a couple of days? The company has been busy, I really don’t have the ti."
"As for the spokesperson matter, I’ll leave it to you."
