"Oh, don’t get mad, take care of your health."
Shirley Owens suppressed the glee in her eyes and hurriedly went forward to calm Harrison Grant.
Harrison Grant was so angry he almost fud, shouting, "Tell him if he dares to call off the engagent with the Yates Family, he should never think of stepping into this house again!"
After speaking, Harrison Grant got up and stord off angrily.
At the dining table, only Shirley Owens and Jasper Grant were left, the mother and son exchanged a glance, each seeing the smile in the other’s eyes.
Shirley Owens placed the chicken soup in front of her son and said in a low voice, "Son, do well, your mother’s future days depend entirely on you."
Jasper Grant smiled without speaking, and Shirley Owens then carried the al upstairs to check on Harrison Grant.
After finishing the chicken soup, Jasper Grant turned his eyes to the endless night outside the window, the gloom in his eyes deepening.
*
Three calm days passed, and it was the day for the deal with Charlotte Sterling.
Evelyn Clayton brought the check and contract to et Charlotte Sterling, and almost effortlessly, signed the equity transfer agreent.
Looking at the equity docunt in her hand, Evelyn Clayton’s face was filled with a gentle smile.
Charlotte Sterling took the check, got up to leave.
As she reached the door, she paused, turned around, and looked at Evelyn Clayton.
Evelyn Clayton sensed it, raised her eyes to et hers, and for a mont, neither spoke.
Charlotte Sterling seed to want to say sothing but stopped, her eyes filled with unreadable emotion.
After a long while, Charlotte Sterling’s lips moved, and she slowly said, "Goodbye."
Then she turned and left.
Evelyn Clayton stood there stunned for a while before she too left the tea house.
Upon returning to the company, she showed the equity docunt to Yara Reagan, who was overjoyed.
"What’s next?!" Yara Reagan exclaid excitedly, "Should we acquire the remaining shares of Aegis?"
Evelyn Clayton smiled slightly, "Of course, there’s no ti to lose, let’s quickly find those shareholders."
In acquiring Aegis shares from the shareholders, Evelyn Clayton didn’t appear again. With the recording and signed contract from Charlotte Sterling, the remaining two shareholders transferred their shares to Evelyn Clayton at an extrely low price.
By the ti Philip Lockwood realized it, Aegis was already in Evelyn Clayton’s hands.
Philip Lockwood frantically called Iris Lockwood.
When Iris got ho that evening, she nervously asked Evelyn Clayton if she should answer it.
"Of course, answer it." Evelyn Clayton chuckled, "Even if you don’t marry Matthew Sullivan, Aegis is yours now. Find a way to revive Aegis and then boot Philip Lockwood out."
Upon hearing this, Iris Lockwood’s eyes instantly filled with tears.
She gazed at Evelyn Clayton, and after a long mont, gave her a silent hug.
The next day, Iris Lockwood moved out of Evelyn Clayton’s place.
Gem’s autumn and winter clothing concept promotion had gone through one round, and the factory was in full operation. Evelyn Clayton and Yara Reagan devoted all their energy to Gem.
When it ca to contacting stores, Evelyn Clayton called Lynn Yates without a second thought.
The two reached an agreent, and Gem’s autumn-winter new collection would be launched in Lynn Yates’s independent designer store, splitting the revenue fifty-fifty.
This was almost an ideal price.
However, Evelyn Clayton still felt a bit regretful.
In the future, she would open Gem’s own brand stores sooner or later.
But for now, collaborating with stores that have custor flow was the best option.
Gem’s work was proceeding vigorously, and soon, good news ca from Iris Lockwood as well.
"Most of Aegis’s old shareholders have fled, but Iris Lockwood managed to get a considerable amount of cash from Philip Lockwood, so Aegis didn’t fall. But I heard Philip Lockwood went to see Harrison Grant, but Harrison Grant didn’t et him."
