"Well, now we’ve got a problem. Between the two of us, we can only co up with five million. Where’s the remaining two hundred thousand going to co from?"
Yara Reagan was troubled and asked with concern.
Evelyn Clayton remained calm.
"If it really doesn’t work out, let’s ask Violet Ford. If she’s also interested in Aegis, we can give her so shares once we have them." Evelyn was unhurried, "If she’s not interested, I’ll just consider it a loan from her."
At this point, there’s no going back.
If Harrison Grant and Philip Lockwood really succeed, it will be them who are at a disadvantage.
Yara Reagan hesitated slightly, and after a while, she cautiously said, "Shouldn’t we tell Jas Grant about this? After all, it’s his dad pulling strings behind the scenes... Maybe Jas knows a way?"
Evelyn Clayton’s eyes flickered, she was silent for a mont, and then slowly said, "I don’t think we need to."
Seeing Evelyn’s expression, Yara Reagan wisely didn’t say more.
"Anyway, no matter what happens, I’m on your side."

Inside Thorne Holdings.
The company went through major changes recently, and with Jas Grant appointed as the new president, he plans to rge a financial company under his na into it. The entire company has been extrely busy with settling accounts.
Keith Donovan ca to find Jas Grant and waited nearly an hour before seeing him.
"You’re quite the busy man now," Keith teased with a smile, "How co it seems like you’re busier than when you were at Atlas?"
Jas Grant was indifferent, "Get to the point. How’s the investigation I asked you to do?"
Keith Donovan tossed a file on his desk, "Take a guess."
Jas Grant didn’t open it, "My dear father has made quite a few enemies. At this point, I really don’t know where to start guessing."
Keith scoffed, "Guess the most unbelievable one."
Upon hearing this, Jas Grant raised an eyebrow slightly, as if surprised, yet unsurprised.
He picked up the file and flipped it open, his expression becoming more inscrutable as he read through it.
"Sumr Monroe has been keeping a low profile lately. They say she’s barely been to work, claiming to be recuperating at ho. But in reality, her and Soren Foster haven’t been idle."
Keith spoke leisurely and then pulled out a stack of photos from his bag to give to Jas Grant.
"Sumr has been colluding with Matthew Sullivan. Sumr provides the money, and sohow, Matthew got his hands on evidence of your family’s old man evading taxes, handing part of it over to the police."
"However, Matthew is smart. He hasn’t revealed too much. Currently, even the police are only suspicious and haven’t reached the point of a conviction. It’s very possible that if Harrison Grant handles it properly, this matter will soon blow over. But if Matthew, the traitor, releases any bombshell evidence, then all bets are off."
With that, Keith showed a faint smile, "But now that you know, whether The Grant Group survives or not is up to you."
Jas Grant didn’t imdiately respond. As he flipped through the photos, he paused slightly when he reached one of them.
He frowned, looking at the people in the photo.
It seed like Soren Foster and another woman whose face was blurry.
"Who’s this?" Jas pointed to the woman’s face in the photo; he vaguely rembered seeing her sowhere.
Keith leaned in to take a look and was montarily puzzled, "I don’t know. It was taken when I had soone tailing Soren. The woman was sick, and Soren took her to the hospital."
Jas Grant’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. A slight inexplicable uneasiness arose inside him.
The woman in the photo wasn’t Sumr. Why would Soren be so close to soone other than Sumr?
"Alright, let’s not focus on that for now. I’ve been aning to ask you," Keith leaned closer, curiously looking at Jas Grant, "Are you planning to return to the Grant Family or not?"
