These words were like a sudden clap of thunder, startling Sumr Monroe to the point where she almost stood up.

Yet, beside her, Soren Foster’s eyes flickered slightly.

Evelyn Clayton very perceptively caught the stir in Soren Foster’s eyes.

But due to Sumr Monroe’s presence, Soren Foster did nothing and said nothing.

And as Evelyn Clayton looked at the cheerful Violet Ford, she completely understood the ultimate purpose of today’s dinner hosted by Violet.

Sow discord, causing Soren and Sumr to crumble and disintegrate from within.

As for her and Yara Reagan, they were simply used to provoke Sumr into losing her senses, serving as a smokescreen to prevent her from thinking rationally.

In the ti that followed, Sumr seed like she’d lost her soul, restless and uneasy.

She didn’t dare to confront Violet directly, because Violet held most of The Ford Family’s key overseas industries in her hands; even Felix Ford was a minor figure compared to her.

Although Violet temporarily couldn’t touch The Ford Family’s dostic assets, if she made a ruthless move, Sumr would have nowhere to escape.

For now, Violet just didn’t want to push things to the absolute limit.

In contrast, Evelyn Clayton beca calm and even had the leisure to savor the delicacies.

Sumr barely made it through the banquet, hurriedly leaving with Soren as it ca to an end.

Violet’s smile was enigmatic as she raised her glass, the curve of her lips growing more pleased, "Evelyn, Yara, a toast to you both."

Evelyn Clayton smiled and downed the wine in her glass, knowing that her mission for today was successfully completed.

"Sister Violet, Yara and I are going to be busy in the days to co." Evelyn hinted.

Violet responded happily, "Understood, just let know if there’s anything you need to do, don’t be shy."

When leaving the dinner, Yara Reagan couldn’t help but sigh.

"As expected, this kind of family is the most chaotic. I originally had a good impression of Sister Violet, but after tonight, I’m a bit afraid of her."

Evelyn Clayton’s eyes flickered.

"Afraid of what?" Evelyn said softly, "Don’t be scared. If we cower, we’ll definitely beco cannon fodder in capitalist struggles. What we need to do is step on capital, and beco the capital."

Yara nodded vigorously, then beca puzzled again.

"Do you think Soren will have disagreents with Sumr because of today’s events?"

Evelyn raised an eyebrow but didn’t answer.

On the other side, Sumr Monroe returned to her apartnt in the city.

Soren Foster silently accompanied her, but since they left Franklin Ford’s restaurant, Sumr’s face was ashen, and she seed lost, not speaking a word to him.

Soren Foster’s mind was still turning over Violet’s words.

If... Sumr could really get a share from The Ford Family, wouldn’t convincing her to be with him beco sowhat easier?

Upon entering the apartnt, Sumr almost slamd the door shut before turning to look at Soren who had followed her in.

"Why are you following ?!" Sumr said harshly, her eyes full of contempt and disdain as usual.

Only tonight, Soren felt particularly hurt.

"Sumr..." Soren’s voice was slightly hoarse, his reddened eyes fixed on her, "You heard what Violet said, since it’s possible to have the best of both worlds, why do you still want to be the widow of Felix Ford?"

He took a deep breath, filled with infinite hope: "Marry , be with , okay?"

As the words fell, Sumr’s face showed a slightly absurd expression.

Soren was stunned and hadn’t yet reacted when he saw Sumr staring at him, moving step by step closer.

She raised her hand, suddenly caressing Soren’s handso face, his eyes suddenly turning profound as he tried to grab her wrist.

However, the next mont, Sumr lightly moved her hand away.

"Want to marry ? Soren, are you worthy?"
