Upon hearing this, Evelyn Clayton looked at Iris Lockwood as if she were a fool, not knowing what to say for a mont.

Iris Lockwood felt a bit embarrassed under the gaze and rubbed her nose.

"What’s wrong? Aren’t you curious about Jas Grant and Lynn Yates?"

Seeing the calm and indifferent expression on the other party’s face, Iris seed to understand a little and looked slightly uneasy.

She stood up and awkwardly changed the subject, pacing the room a few tis.

"I think the environnt here is better than my suite, let stay here, okay? I’ll keep you company."

With a slight frown, Evelyn replied irritably, "I don’t think our relationship is at the stage where we can share a bed yet?"

Iris snorted lightly.

"I’m worried about you being upset. Don’t think I don’t know how it pains you to see Lynn Yates and Jas Grant together."

This ti, Evelyn’s last bit of patience ran out.

She stepped forward to open the door, turning around to push Iris out, "I need to rest now, don’t let the door hit you on the way out."

"No, don’t!" Iris clung to the doorfra, refusing to leave, almost resorting to shalessness.

"No way, you can’t kick out! I still have sothing to say!"

Evelyn gave her a cold glance, "Haven’t you spilled all the gossip already? What else do you want to say?"

"What I actually wanted to say..." Iris’s eyes were filled with curiosity as they darted around.

"Is there a possibility where you could outdo Lynn Yates, collaborate with The Grant Group, and secure their orders? That way, I could also get a foot in the door with The Grant Group, and I won’t charge you for future model appearances, deal?"

Inexplicably reminded of that night at the factory, Evelyn tried hard to ignore the slight pain in her heart.

She didn’t want to ntion that person again; they were supposed to remain strangers.

Fixing her gaze on Iris, Evelyn’s clear and translucent eyes showed no emotion.

She enunciated word by word: "No. Also, Jas Grant and I have nothing to do with each other right now, if that’s what you an, make your way yourself, don’t co to again."

After speaking, Evelyn was about to push Iris out.

"Go back to your own room and rest well. The official event is tomorrow, and if anything goes wrong, you’ll only have yourself to bla."

"Hey, hey, don’t—"

Iris shouted discontentedly.

As she stepped out, she accidentally bumped into soone passing by.

"Sorry, sorry..."

Before she could finish, both Evelyn and Iris froze in place, looking up at the person walking past the door.

The man’s voice was cold and detached, with his chiseled, handso face seemingly covered with a thin layer of frost.

Without glancing sideways, he walked straight on.

Iris was dumbfounded: "Jas Grant..."

Evelyn also looked slightly lost as she watched Jas’s side profile pass by her, then move away.

Did he just hear that? What did he hear? How much did he hear?

Already weary and sluggish from fatigue, Evelyn’s mind could hardly function.

It felt like sothing was lodged in her throat as she silently watched Jas walk away.

At this point, even Iris didn’t dare to breathe loudly.

She looked at Jas’s retreating figure, then turned to glance at Evelyn, feeling a hundred tis shocked internally.

For a long ti, it seed as though Evelyn had been drained of all energy, silently turning back into the room.

"Close the door when you leave."

With a start, Iris finally snapped back to reality.

She dashed back to her room and closed the door, grumbling, "I’m not leaving!"

She sulkily paced back and forth, casting an annoyed glance at the silent and indifferent Evelyn, feeling even more inexplicably angry.

This Evelyn...

Clearly still has feelings for Jas Grant, why does she insist on being contrary to her true feelings?
