The cold iron door was tightly shut, leaving not a single gap.

Jas Grant suppressed the bitterness in his eyes, lifted his head, and returned to his usual deanor.

He bent down to place the thermal bag at Evelyn Clayton’s door, then sent her a ssage after stepping out of the elevator:

——Brought you a bowl of fish soup, it’s best to have soup after a hangover. I left it by the door, rember to get it.

Receiving no reply, he sent Evelyn Clayton another ssage:

——Take fewer pills, I’ll take precautions from now on.

Still, Evelyn Clayton didn’t respond.

After getting into the car, the driver cautiously observed Jas Grant’s ashen face through the rearview mirror, guessing he must have encountered a huge problem in business.

Otherwise, how could Director Grant, always so smooth-sailing, show such an expression?

At Evelyn Clayton’s ho.

She took a shower and, feeling refreshed, opened the purchased dication.

The variety of contraceptives was dizzying.

She simply gave up, tossed them aside, picked up her phone, and saw the ssage from Jas Grant on WeChat.

Seeing through the peephole that no one was outside, she finally felt relieved enough to open the door.

A thermal bag stood there solitary by the door.

After hesitating a mont, she still picked up the thermal bag.

No matter how upset, she couldn’t be upset with her stomach.

Besides, Jas Grant is a big man, he wouldn’t drug her, after all.

The fish soup was made by an old establishnt, aromatic and delicious, and Evelyn Clayton enjoyed it thoroughly.

Yet, she still didn’t plan to reply to Jas Grant’s ssages.

Before today, she considered Jas Grant a reliable business partner.

After today, she needed to reassess this man.

He seed nonchalant, living carefreely, but he actually had his own intentions.

His desire for control was far stronger than he outwardly expressed.

This was tricky.

She didn’t want to be controlled, so she’d need to find a balance in their business relationship.

After being well-fed and satisfied, Evelyn fell asleep, only waiting for the next day to et that big client.

anwhile, back at the company, Jas Grant handled affairs, working until the night.

Still, no reply from Evelyn Clayton, it seed intentional.

Dylan Donovan called, inviting him for drinks at the elite club later.

"Are you bringing your fiancée tonight?"

Everyone in the elevator perked up their ears to eavesdrop; it’s a rare chance to gossip about Director Grant’s private life, no one wanted to miss out.

Jas Grant replied with a smile, "I’m on my way. Is everyone there?"

"Everyone’s here! Just waiting on you, Eldest Young Master. Oh, and I recently signed a female star, Cindy Owens, you’ve seen her photos, she’s coming tonight too."

"Great, the more beauties, the better."

Jas Grant hung up the phone and was the first to step out of the elevator.

Behind him, two female employees whispered, their voices low but enough to reach his ears.

"It’s such a pity, Director Grant is so handso, but a bit of a playboy."

"I heard he’s involved with his brother’s fiancée, now she won’t marry his brother but wants him, yet he’s still fooling around."

"Aren’t all n like that..."

His assistant, Quentin Hale, asked, "Director Grant, should I make them quiet down?"

"No big deal." Jas Grant waved a hand, indicating he could leave work: "You don’t need to follow tonight."

Knowing it was about to get lively, Quentin certainly wouldn’t interfere with his boss’s fun.

At the elite club, it was all bright lights and lively music.

Dylan Donovan was always surrounded by beautiful won, and tonight the place was full of sensual sirens.

The mont Jas Grant arrived, Dylan Donovan pushed a woman in a strappy dress towards him: "Eldest Young Master Grant, this is Cindy Owens, what do you think? Even prettier than in the photos, right?"

Jas Grant nodded, a subtle smile curling his lips: "Nice figure."

Hearing this, Cindy Owens quickly offered him a drink, while pushing her already prominent cleavage even more prominently.

"Director Grant, is that all, just a nice figure?"

"Not just that." Jas Grant took the drink and downed it in one go.

Cindy Owens smoothly sat beside him.

Dylan Donovan chuckled: "Cindy, Eldest Young Master has a film production company, if he says the word, you can star in any movie."

"Really? Director Grant, I’ve only done TV dramas, never a movie. When can I visit your film company..."

Cindy Owens edged closer, while Dylan Donovan had already gone off dancing with other beauties.

Jas Grant slightly leaned back, his smile teasing.

"Well, that depends on Miss Owens’ performance..."
