Then she turned off her phone and the sound, placed it farther away, and didn’t care whether Jas Grant was still there behind her.

Evelyn Clayton sat on the sofa, feeling uninterested.

Fatigue enveloped her, and her mind was filled with thoughts of her father’s car accident.

She raised her hand to rub her temples, looking very tired.

"Matthew Sullivan, I’m exhausted, I’m leaving now. You’re in charge of the rest."

"Okay, Evelyn, go rest quickly, don’t wear yourself out."

Matthew Sullivan was extrely concerned, took over her work, and saw her out.

Evelyn Clayton walked towards the office, a short distance, yet it felt incredibly long.

Her high heels felt especially heavy, making one muffled thud after another on the floor.

She reached out and twisted the doorknob, a strong force suddenly grabbed her wrist and violently pulled her inside.

Evelyn Clayton gasped, too late to resist, she was forcefully pinned against the wall by a figure.

"What are you doing?!"

She looked up and saw the dark cloud-covered face of Jas Grant.

The veins popped on the man’s neck and the back of his hand, holding her arms above her head, pressing hard, immobilizing her with his body tight against hers.

"Evelyn Clayton, I told you, don’t let him touch you."

Each word was laced with icy syllables.

He seed especially out of control and terrifying, with suppressed aggression.

Evelyn Clayton was startled for a mont, her mind recalling the previous things he said to her.

She hadn’t thought he’d care and fuss so much.

"Jas Grant, let go first."

He was too close, yet his grip didn’t relax, as if determined to imprison her.

Evelyn Clayton could only lower her stance.

Jas Grant didn’t lessen his strength, the veins on the back of his hand bulging frightfully, his eyes filled with a terrifying darkness.

The next second, he bent down and kissed her forehead, the place Matthew Sullivan had touched.

The warmth on her forehead took Evelyn Clayton by surprise.

A sudden surge of strength propelled her to push him away, her eyes filled with shock and anger.

"Jas Grant, you’re crazy!"

Her resistance only provoked Jas Grant into an even more uncontrolled cold laugh.

"Crazy, because you drove to it."

He admitted, yet disregarded her anger.

Evelyn Clayton’s chest heaved rapidly, her breathing beca urgent.

"I drove you?! Jas Grant, why don’t you look at your own ssy relationships, planning to marry Lynn Yates, then hooking up with Sumr Monroe right after, Jas Grant, your tactics are better than mine."

Her words thoroughly enraged Jas Grant.

A frenzy of oppressive darkness surged around, his black eyes locked on her, crimson like a beast.

With the words already spoken, Evelyn Clayton decided to continue her cold confrontation.

"Let tell you, Jas Grant, if you truly want to be with , then clean up your scandalous affairs! Otherwise, besides cooperation, stay far away."

She spoke with utmost seriousness, without a hint of joking.

After finishing, Evelyn Clayton directly opened the door and walked out, almost fleeing.

Separated by a cold door, outside and inside were like two completely different worlds.

The office had a madman from hell, the entire atmosphere like a storm, suffocatingly oppressive.

Jas Grant stood rigidly in front of the door, facial features as cold as frost and snow, dressed in black, like he was ready to rge into the night.

He was exerting great effort to suppress, his deep eyes tinged with blood, emitting a deep, abyss-like danger.

Evelyn Clayton’s words, her expression of disappointnt and disgust, echoing in the air and before his eyes.

Like silver needles, stabbing his heart, blood and flesh blurred.
