He stood there, eyes filled with ruthlessness and murderous intent, looking at the unconscious woman on the bed. His clearly defined hands clenched tightly, nails digging into his palms, with trickles of blood seeping along the edges.
Nathan Carter, thinking he had grasped his weakness, deliberately provoked him: "Mr. Grant, have you thought it through, innocence or selfishness, which do you choose?"
He turned his eyes, looking at Nathan Carter as if looking at a dead object.
The atmosphere was deathly silent for a long ti.
The person whose body was tense and stiff relaxed the hand that had drawn blood, and in a hoarse voice uttered one word: "Fine."
Nathan Carter’s heart, which had been suspended, fell, and he showed a triumphant smile.
"Mr. Grant is smart, no need for to remind you what to do."
Jas Grant’s brows furrowed in a frightening manner. He stepped forward swiftly and grabbed the woman’s arm without holding back, forcing her to get up.
Nathan Carter helped Matthew Sullivan up and tactfully retreated outside the room.
Evelyn Clayton was suddenly awakened, shivering all over.
Upon opening her eyes and seeing Jas Grant’s terrifying face, she ca to her senses, released his hand, and pulled the blanket to cover herself.
He glanced over her with cold eyes, each word biting and mocking: "What, dare to do it but not dare to let others see?"
Evelyn Clayton’s face turned pale, fingertips gripping the corner of the blanket tightly: "I didn’t do it, what am I afraid of?"
"Evelyn Clayton, I thought you were proud and dignified, but it turns out you’re just like those won, sparing no ans to cling when you see benefits."
His words pricked her heart painfully, yet were suprely humiliating.
Evelyn Clayton bit her lower lip tightly, eyes slightly red, stubbornly eting his mocking gaze, sneering.
"And what about you? Those won bring you more joy than , and you’re just a scumbag drifting among won, covered in rotten peach blossoms. What right do you have to criticize !"
"Evelyn Clayton, I am the eldest son of the Grant family, and you have everything now because of . Do you think you’ll have a good end if you leave!"
Every word hit her most sore spot. Her breath ca fiercely, her chest heaving violently, and the anger and humiliation were suffocating.
Evelyn Clayton squeezed her eyes shut tightly and shouted hoarsely: "Get out!"
Jas Grant let out a final cold laugh, with disdain and disgust in his eyes.
He turned around resolutely, his back exuding an endless coldness.
He saw Nathan Carter and Matthew Sullivan standing outside the door, and a bloodthirsty curve appeared on his lips: "Satisfied?"
Nathan Carter swallowed and nodded, watching Jas Grant stride away, disappearing around the corner of the hall.
He completed everything and returned to the Grant Family ho.
The room was dead silent. Matthew Sullivan, supporting his wounded body, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and walked into the room.
Evelyn Clayton sat dumbly on the bed, her reddened eyes shedding tears one by one.
"Evelyn Clayton, you’ve really made unable to fathom you. Didn’t you want to be with Jas Grant? Why make act like this, let him think I slept with you and leave? You’ll owe for these wounds."
Matthew Sullivan had drugged her according to Harrison Grant’s instructions, but Evelyn Clayton discovered it. Unexpectedly, instead of being angry, she made him cooperate with the act to drive away Jas Grant.
Evelyn Clayton sniffled, her face regaining its icy deanor, took her bag, pulled out a card, and tossed it to Matthew Sullivan, her voice cold and authoritative.
"Your dical expenses, take them and leave quickly. Don’t ddle in anything else. But I warn you, if you dare to reveal a word, I will make your life unbearable."
"Evelyn, even if Jas Grant doesn’t want you, I do."
Matthew Sullivan didn’t mind, picked up the bank card, dragging his injured body.
Before leaving, he affectionately whispered sweet words to her.
Evelyn Clayton forced down her disgust. It wasn’t until the sound of the door closing that she released her clenched hand, buried her head, and sobbed furiously. The intense pain in her heart was unbearable.
Her mind was filled with Jas Grant’s eyes of disgust and humiliating words, endlessly tearing at her heart.
