Jas Grant squinted his eyes and sat up, a glimr of anger flashing in his dark pupils, all traces of sleepiness gone.

He picked up his phone directly, his voice hoarse from just waking up.

Evelyn Clayton leaned casually against the side of the bed, letting the blanket drape over her waist.

A few minutes later, Jas Grant casually picked up the shirt thrown on the ground, buttoning it while speaking indifferently.

"Get ready, accompany to a banquet."

Outside the lavish private club, the long red carpet seed endless.

Jas Grant wore a low-key bespoke suit, the diamond button sparkling under the dazzling lights.

At his side, Evelyn Clayton was even more exquisite, like a fairy who had fallen to the mortal world.

A hip-hugging long gown trailed on the floor, accentuating her slim waist that could not be grasped with one hand.

It was rare for her to have such a delicate makeup today, looking like a gentle and demure figure nestled beside Jas Grant.

Before entering, from afar, they saw a pair of enchanting sisters stepping out of a luxury car.

Evelyn Clayton’s eyes darkened.

Clara Yates and Lynn Yates gracefully strolled along the red carpet.

They were imdiately drawn to Jas Grant, although the sisters’ expressions were different.

Arm in arm, they walked over, chatting and laughing cheerfully.

These sisters tacitly chose to ignore Evelyn Clayton’s presence.

Walking into the club’s hall, Evelyn Clayton found it dull.

It was nothing more than mutual flattery in business, full of sches and cold indifference, not worth her attention.

Amidst the tedium, two middle-aged n in sharp suits approached directly.

Harrison Grant and Mr. Yates were both sly foxes, and they seed to have agreed, both focusing their eyes on Evelyn Clayton simultaneously.

Their intense gaze made one feel uneasy, causing Evelyn Clayton to instinctively move closer to Jas Grant.

anwhile, Clara and Lynn Yates stood obediently beside their father.

The sisters, beautiful and talented, filled Mr. Yates with satisfaction.

Smiling heartily, he took Lynn Yates’ hand.

"Lynn, I was just telling your Uncle Grant, on such an occasion, if Jas wasn’t here, you wouldn’t have co at all."

"Jas, Lynn, the first dance today is yours, no problem, right?"

The arrangent ca suddenly; Harrison Grant seed casual, yet his tone allowed no refusal.

The leading dance of a ball is always a legitimate recognition by the circle.

But at this mont, Harrison Grant and Mr. Yates were clearly mismatching couples intentionally.

Upon hearing Harrison Grant’s assignnt, the guests reacted with various expressions.

In their eyes, so were mocking, so surprised, and so were secretly pointing at Evelyn Clayton.

"Look, what do the Grant and Yates families an by this?"

"This Miss Clayton was engaged to the Grant family’s illegitimate son since childhood, and it was because of her that the Grant brothers beca quite unfriendly."

"They say beautiful won bring trouble, and today I’ve seen that troubles do look like this."

Snickers and banter filled the air, but Evelyn Clayton remained unconcerned.

Jas Grant frowned, wanting to refuse, but Harrison Grant gave him a warning glare: "Jas, on such an important occasion today, I don’t want everyone to lose face!"

Seeing Jas Grant’s difficult situation, Evelyn Clayton nonchalantly waved her hand, signaling him to go along with it.

The music started, and with a sullen face, Jas Grant stood beside Lynn Yates.

Evelyn Clayton folded her arms, leisurely watching the n and won dancing gracefully in the ballroom.

One had to admit, clothes might wear out but people get better with ti; Jas Grant and Lynn Yates danced elegantly together.

Watching them, Evelyn Clayton suddenly felt a sense of irritation in her heart.
