"Where can I go?" Amber Whitman rubbed her wrist, defiantly saying, "I was just joking with her."

Keith Donovan massaged his temples, "Amber Whitman, do you think Jas Grant is a fool? He’s not so easily deceived!"

"I wasn’t deceiving him. Anyway, when Jas cos, I’ll explain it myself, you don’t need to worry."

"...Amber!" Keith couldn’t hold back and growled lowly, "You grew up with , and I didn’t expect you to turn out like this. Jas Grant is really angry this ti. ssing with his fiancée is a death wish! Do you think with the relationship between the Grant and Whitman families, he’ll just turn a blind eye this ti? Well, you’re wrong. You’ve ssed with the wrong person this ti!"

Amber gritted her teeth.

More than Jas being angry with her, she minded that Jas was angry because of Evelyn Clayton.

"What’s so great about that woman? This isn’t the first ti my Jas is angry with because of her. I’m angry too!"

"Amber, this isn’t the ti for you to throw a tantrum. You need to apologize to Evelyn Clayton, tell her you were wrong this ti. Beg her to forgive you, or else when Jas arrives, this matter will be irreparable."

"I won’t!"

As soon as Amber finished speaking, she saw a tall figure appear in the hallway. Jas Grant exuded a piercing coldness, with a sullen expression, he walked towards them.

"Jas..." Amber put on a pitiful expression.

Just about to play the victim before Jas, she was t with a look of disgust.

"Get lost!"

He stepped into Evelyn Clayton’s room, as if the world could only accommodate the person before him.

Keith, seeing that she was beyond saving, shook his head and left.

On the sofa, Evelyn Clayton was trembling all over. Jas Grant crouched down in guilt, focusing his intense gaze on the woman before him.

"Evelyn."

She looked up at the sound, biting her lips, not speaking.

Jas’ gaze was sharp and cold as he scanned around, causing Amber to shrink back under his murderous look.

Jas picked up Evelyn and walked out.

Amber, still unwilling to give up, chased after him, about to act spoiled, "Jas..."

"Do you have a death wish?" Jas remained expressionless, casually uttering these words, raising an eyebrow coldly.

"Good dogs don’t block the way."

Amber burst into tears.

It was still Keith who could read the room, stopping Amber and signaling Jas to leave first, as he would clean up the aftermath.

Evelyn Clayton was burning up all over, but it was because soone had drugged her.

Jas couldn’t take her to the hospital, so he had to take her ho first.

He placed her on the sofa, pulled over a blanket to cover her, and while he went to the kitchen to get water, he returned to see her curled up in the corner of the sofa, looking particularly pitiful, eyes tightly shut, clearly already half-conscious.

"Co to my side." Jas softened his tone, and Evelyn shivered.

He frowned and imdiately set down the water to hold her in his arms.

Evelyn reacted strongly, struggling frantically. "Don’t touch , go away—"

"Evelyn, it’s , it’s Jas Grant." Jas pulled her into his arms with force, his warm and reassuring embrace constantly transmitting warmth, he kissed her hair reverently, over and over.

"Feel it, it’s , I’m here, I’ve always been."

Jas’ distinctively jointed hand held Evelyn’s, pressing against her cold palm, gently rubbing, his tone soft and light, "See, isn’t it ?"

He treated her like a precious treasure.

It was only then that Evelyn opened her eyes, following his touch.

It really was Jas Grant, he had co to save her...

Evelyn started to burn up again, a string in her mind suddenly snapped.

She lunged forward, actively kissing Jas’ slim, sexy lips.

Jas didn’t resist, passionately responding to Evelyn’s ssy kisses, domineeringly pulling her into his rhythm, his hands kindling flas all over.
