Matthew Sullivan quickly sat up straight and tidied up his appearance.
"No, no, no!"
"Before the day is over, we already have reporters and ambulances. Don’t make this situation any bigger."
"It’s not us who are blowing this up; it’s you."
Evelyn Clayton left with a cold expression.
Returning to her office, she eagerly called Jas Grant.
On the other side, Jas Grant had just gotten off the plane. After hearing the whole story, a trace of amusent tinged his lazy, husky voice.
"Nicely done."
"It seems Matthew Sullivan is running out of trump cards. Be careful these next few days. I’ll handle things quickly and fly back. Contact if there’s anything."
"You’re so wordy." Evelyn Clayton was a bit impatient. Hearing soone calling for Jas Grant on the other end gave her an excuse to hang up. "Go do your thing first."
Watching the ended call on the screen, Jas Grant tapped the desk lightly with his long fingers, a proud smile playing on his thin lips.
"Heh—"
Beside him, Keith Donovan tossed him a contract and looked at him curiously, "What are you laughing about?"
"Not laughing." Jas Grant squinted at him, the wild look on his face surprising Keith Donovan.
Unperturbed by Jas Grant’s strong aura, Keith Donovan pressed on with his question.
"Co on, how can just a phone call make you so happy, but talking to is this aggravating?" Keith Donovan seed to figure him out, "You were talking to Evelyn Clayton, right? Seriously, you just parted a few hours ago. You two are truly sickening."
"Until you’re married, you wouldn’t understand." Jas Grant adjusted his cufflinks, leisurely straightening the gemstone with his fingertips.
Keith Donovan was embarrassed, a girl’s face quickly flashing through his mind.
He hurriedly changed the subject, "Quickly look at the contract. The people over there will be here soon, and there’s still ti to and it."

After dealing with a few docunts, Evelyn Clayton was about to go downstairs to buy a cup of coffee when Charlotte Sterling called.
No need to guess; she must be pleading on behalf of their precious daughter.
She sneered and hung up the phone.
Dream on.
But she underestimated the shalessness of Charlotte Sterling and Philip Lockwood.
They directly called the office of The Grant Group, claiming they were Director Clayton’s parents and couldn’t reach Evelyn Clayton, asking them to transfer her to Director Clayton.
When Evelyn Clayton received Charlotte Sterling’s call through the internal line, she impatiently clicked her tongue.
Truly haunting!
Upon hearing this reaction, Charlotte Sterling imdiately flew into a rage.
"You insolent girl, how dare you be impatient?! Why didn’t you answer my call earlier?"
"I was working."
"Don’t make excuses! I think you did it on purpose! We all know about Iris’s situation. You must find a way to help her. People online are saying awful things; does she not care about her reputation as a young lady?"
Accompanied by Charlotte Sterling’s angry words, the sound of Iris Lockwood’s sobbing ca through from the other end of the line.
It seed she had faced humiliation at work and returned ho to complain.
"Solve your own problems yourself. If you dare to flaunt so openly with a man, why not bear the consequences?"
"How can you talk like that? In any case, she’s your sister. If her reputation gets tarnished, it’ll reflect badly on you too!"
Evelyn Clayton couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
"What era are we in now? Still holding onto such backward views? Even if so, I’m not worried. After all, Jas Grant is determined to marry ."
Charlotte Sterling had it on speakerphone, and Philip Lockwood turned green with anger upon hearing this.
"You insolent girl, why can’t you see your sister doing well? Just hold a press conference in The Grant Group’s na and say that the man has nothing to do with her. You can accomplish this just by speaking."
Seeing that Evelyn Clayton was not swayed by either approach, Iris Lockwood on the other end of the phone also got anxious: "Evelyn Clayton! I swear! I really have nothing to do with Sheldon Zane! If I’m lying, may lightning strike down!"
