Chapter 74 - 74. Signed

"Heh." I smiled. Sothing is wrong; either this man wants to get rid of , or this is another ridiculous test to get information about my ability. It doesn't surprise

that they want to get prisoners down there, though. We are the most disposable group in society.

I want to go outside, I want to get perks out of this deal, and the most important, I want to look for my grandma. If this old dragon had really been in her ridiculously big mansion and everything was devoured by the second portal, there could still be a chance that she was alive.

"I want to make a phone call." I said.

The warden shook his head, his eyes narrowing. Thought so, this is fishy.

"Okay. Forget the one-year deduction, that doesn't make sense anyway. Give

a gun, I want to hold it."

The warden chuckled at

with mockery.

"You can give

an empty gun, then the munition. It doesn't have to be a loaded gun. I want that now, then I will sign the docunt." If I had to load a gun with one bullet each ti, it would be a real pain. But I can use it in the future to threaten people.

The warden contemplated for a mont and exchanged glances with the guard behind .

"Do it." He made a hand motion, and the guard beside

grabbed his gun.

He unloaded it and gave the gun in my hands. I slid my hand up and down; it was an automatic gun; I don't even know if I can load it with a single bullet. Though, if I conjure up cigarettes, it also contains the tobacco, paper, and filter, but it counts as 'one'. If I touch the whole magazine, I should be able to load the gun. Two things ant one minute usage. Okay, not bad; in a minute I could shoot the magazine empty with ease.

Burning the feeling of the gun in my mind, I prayed that it didn't count as electronic, and that it would work properly if conjured up.

Eventually, the guard ripped the gun out of my hands, and gave

the magazine.

"Every man loves guns." The warden chuckled, and sighed while watching .

I ignored him and looked at the bullets in the magazine, it were ten. That is plenty of bullets for people, but not for monsters. However, after one minute, I could conjure it up once more, then again. It was good enough like this.

Finally, the guard also took the magazine out of my hands, and the warden handed

the docunt and a pen.

"What are the requirents to go on that mission?" I asked, taking the pen but not moving it to sign this farce directly.

The warden pressed his lips together and looked at

angrily, seeing that I did continue to ask questions and demand at least so answers.

"You will get chipped with a GPS locator, you will have to wear a body cam, and you will have to wear an ankle monitor."

"Fine." I took my pen and signed the docunt after reading through it once more.

"When do we go?" I asked.

"Tomorrow." The warden answered, quickly taking the paper and putting it in the drawer of his desk.

I was cuffed and brought to the white room. I was really eager to try to conjure the gun, but it was impossible with the caras watching . After the white room, I was brought to lunch, where I also couldn't try it.

Instead, when I sat with my cellmate, Henry ca and sat beside

in a grand motion,

"Missed ?" He asked, staring at .

"You were right." I said, ignoring his nonsense. Hadn't thought for him to be the playful type when I think about how we t. Damn, I am angry again. Clenching my jaw, I still inford him.

"Tomorrow, I can go on an expedition inside that hole."

Henry raised his eyebrows and straightened up, tapping the table with his finger and ignoring his food.

"I will co as well." He said after a few minutes.

"Yeah, then you can render

immobile again. No, thanks." I wasn't really against him coming if I were able to conjure up the gun. Because then, if he repeated his actions from last ti, I would shoot him without hesitation.

Because the mory of my kitchen knife was from a few months ago, my victims took on pink scars instead of real injuries. The mory of the gun would be still fresh in two days, so I would be able to make more actual wounds. But even a month-old shot in the head should be enough to kill soone.

Henry stopped with his tapping, before continuing.

"Then I hadn't been your dog, but the guy who wanted to die with the murderer of his sister."

"Yeah. PITY, I WAS INNOCENT!" I yelled, getting more than enough attention from guards and prisoners. The looks the baldies gave

were already normal for . I slowly learned how it felt to be a celebrity.

"I know." Henry said, and I cald down a bit again.

I can't act out even if I wanted to. What if they don't take

with them because I got in so petty fight? I have to see the second portal.

"Who was the person informing you about this?" Henry questioned.

"A warden, sleazy businessman like. Don't know his na." No idea if Henry had the ability to co on board as well.

Besides everything being fishy and not making much sense, I bet the whole idea behind sending prisoners was that it were people that wouldn't be free ever again. People that were dispensable and only costing the state money while they lived.

I doubt that Henry killed soone, to land in here, so he should be unable to co.

But, like so often these days, I was wrong again.
