Chapter 48 - 48. Danny visits

On the way back, after leaving the wheelchair, I was brought to the visitor room again. This privilege they didn't take from , and I got visited awfully often for my short stay; it seed my grandmother had enriched a few prison people.

I was furious, thinking I had to face my nesis again, but instead there sat a crying Danny looking a bit roughed up.

My eyes widened, and I sat down, imdiately gripping the speaker. Danny took it as well, only to cry in it.

"Hey, what's up? Thanks for coming!" I was really over the moon seeing my friend here.

He tried to speak but didn't get a word out.

"Why are you looking like this?" I asked.

"They wouldn't...." He cried again.

"...let us...." Continued to cry.

"....co in....." Again.

"...together..."

I sighed when he finally got the sentence out.

"So what? Have you guys fought to decide who would co visit

first?" I laughed.

He nodded, and I laughed more.

"And you won?" I grinned, only for more nodding and more crying. Hadn't thought he had that in him, against Jordan and Omar.

"Don't worry; tell the others I'm fine. My bed neighbor is super nice. I got a shitting buddy; have you ever had a shitting buddy?"

Danny continued to cry and shook his head.

"You know about flipping the coin?" I asked him.

He nodded his head.

"Imagine taking sothing out of that window I saw through. I can do that." I smirked at him, feeling a bit more like myself again.

Danny luckily had an enlightened mont, and his eyes lit up as well, marveling at what I told him before crying himself into hiccuping. He then cried even more.

It was sweet the first ten minutes, but not being able to talk to him got

so annoyed that I cursed at the end.

"Get the others to co if you just cry! What have you even won for?"

"Sorry..." He said, between hiccups and tears.

"Thanks, Danny." I tapped at the window and smiled at him, and he tapped against it as well.

I asked him to greet the others and to tell them that it was fine in here, before standing up. Two guards imdiately ca and handcuffed

at the front as I was taken away.

I thought about informing him that I had found Henrietta, alive, but I feared they would try to cross to the parallel world. And if they did, the monster would possibly get them. Can't risk that; besides, they would just suddenly disappear; what about their life? They are in their senior year. And with that cursed long ti-difference between both worlds....they would lose out in any case.

Besides, I doubt that if Henrietta really showed up again, proving that she was alive, anything would change for .

There was still a dead body in the morgue, and my damn palm prints are on her neck. I also doubt a grand jury would get new evidence helping

or decide that a second trial was necessary.

No, I think my ability was the key outside here.

If my ability could evolve like this, maybe I could do so even more. How about instead of grabbing sothing out of the window that showed a mory...how about climbing inside that window? Would I be able to do that? Would I be able to teleport to the place of my mory? I don't think I could travel back in ti for real, but maybe my body would show up at the place the mory I chose played in, just in the present instead of the past.

That was a thing for

to train and try, and yeah, 'ti' I had surely enough on .

Seeing Danny cry got

feeling a bit better, and maybe for that reason, I had no seizures while being brought back.

Seeing my cellmate smiling happily was also a good way to be welcod back ho.

"What's up? What have you been doing?"

He shook his head, saying not much, as I was uncuffed through the prison bars. After the wards left, I walked to my mate. Thinking about the chocolate cake the guys brought

on my last birthday, I envisioned how it tasted, flipping the coin and imaging myself gripping the cake.

At the end, I caught it in my hand, smashing it a good bit, and the biggest part fell on the floor. There were also no plates or cutlery.

"Wanna cake?"

My cellmate was the best audience, first looking on in wonder at what I was doing, then being stunned into speechlessness, then giggling, then he reached for the cake in my hands hesitantly.

"Go on, if you like it, eat!"

He took a fistful and munched on it, oozing happiness. Thought he liked sweets, with his build. And he wouldn't get fatter; maybe I could get him dieting and take him with

when I got out of prison.

"Don't eat sweets anymore; if you want sothing and I know it, I get it for you!" Before cigarettes and alcohol were a thing, it had been sweets, and I had had a ton of them.

He nodded at

happily, and I asked him to sit on the floor again, where we held our brainstorming sessions. When he saw the cake disappear, he wasn't disappointed but again amazed.

"Look, want to lose weight? My magic food doesn't get you fatter. Let's make you fit, and if you like, you can protect

then. In the anti, I'll protect you, ok? Tell

if there is soone being rude to you." I did the trick with the knife, and because I had done it a few tis, I was quicker than with the cake.

"See? Cool, right?" My cellmate looked at

complicatedly and nodded.

"You are not the talker, right? No matter, apparently I am; now we have everything we need; if you want sothing, just tell . Ah." I conjured up an already burning cigarette and took a drag.

"It could be that we will get our asses often searched; I hope you don't mind." Though, in this open track, the smoke should soon dissolve. Strangely, the smoke didn't disappear with the cigarette. I also felt 'sated' after smoking, as if the nicotine was already absorbed by my body and couldn't be taken back.

Hmm, I read sowhere that your body already splits what you eat after you chew it, so maybe he won't get thinner with my plan. Still, we can try.

We have enough ti to figure everything out.
