Chapter 178: 178. Forgotten

"Hey, are you alright?" I was woken up by Teddy.

"You bled quite a bit." He pointed at my orange prison uniform, and I noted that my chest was covered in blood.

"What the?" I blinked the sleep away and stared at the red for a long ti, before I broke into a grin.

There was no way to find out if I had really managed to move my body through space, but since I always experience nosebleeds when overusing my ability, and now seeing that I not only had a nosebleed but also passed out ant that I was hopefully, probably, on the right track.

"Happy?" Teddy asked before he went to wash his face in the small sink inside our cell.

"Yeah. It’s good to bleed a bit sotis. You know, getting rid of all the slag." I also stood up, waiting for him to finish so that I could wash myself.

Teddy always accompanied

when I got tattooed, and for so reason, he was allowed to be present. We had been provided with a visitor room; I think it was usually used for married couples or sothing because inside was the most disgusting double bed imaginable.

Still, I had to trust my enhanced body and hope I wouldn’t catch so disease, as I had to lie on that thing when I got tattooed. Teddy usually used the ti to read a few magazines that the tattoo artist always brought for him.

I also flipped the coin on the Teddy of this world to find out why he was in prison. Coming from a broken ho, he found a family with the fans of his favorite soccer team, but they beca more extre in their love over ti and started fights with the rival team’s fans. Everything escalated and beca more brutal until they waited for them in front of the stadium and killed two people. The offenders were apparently placed in different prisons, and Teddy managed to reform.

Did the Teddy of my world get locked up for a murder he didn’t commit because his counterpart had killed people indiscriminately? Was this so form of karma, and if so, do I also constantly get locked up for the sa reason—that my counterparts are all deranged people? Well, there was no way to find out.

We had to make our ’body modifications’ in the wee morning hours because they didn’t allow us to use the rest of the day, which we had to work.

Now think of the most cliché work of a prisoner you can imagine, and you’ll understand what we do.

It was crushing stones with what looked like a big wooden hamr. I cringed hard when I saw that for the first ti. Everyone had a guard to ensure we didn’t attack each other. And although these hamrs were very light, they could still crush the stones; I have no idea what exactly they were made of.

Anyway, each day we worked like animals, as if they wanted to either train us or get any kind of aggression out of our system. So yeah, that was that.

I think they took the smashed stones and used stone pieces to make cent or for street building or sothing. Since we couldn’t miss ’work,’ we had to do these private things in our ’free’ ti, which was when normal people slept.

Fine by . I don’t have any problems smashing stones; it’s better than just lying around and thinking useless thoughts—not that the work was so demanding that one couldn’t think while doing it, but it was always good to move around.

Two guards stood ready and handcuffed us before opening the door. I had luckily gotten rid of the cuffs after my interview with the officer clerk. So in my cell I could move around and draw unhinderedly.

With my drawings stuffed inside my bloody orange jumpsuit, out we went.

Inside the room we were brought to were caras. I don’t know if they fild couples who did it or just us, and additionally, a few guards were always in front of the room.

Teddy and I waited for a mont until there was a knock on the door. A black-haired girl entered; Kenny3 probably wouldn’t like her. She was the master behind the perfectly done job on my body, so I nodded at her with respect.

Next, a blonde girl entered, and when I saw her, a chill ran down my spine. This girl looked like an older Chelsea, probably her counterpart.

No, fuck. Chelsea.

When was the last ti I had seen her? Did she cross with us?

No, I don’t rember seeing her at that ti.

Did we forget her inside that Deer Monster World, FOR FUCK’S SAKE? NO WAY, RIGHT?

Calm down, think. The last ti I had seen her was when I was attacked by the four shadows.

Did sothing happen to her, and Henry kept mum about it? No... he wouldn’t do sothing so dumb.

She was just... left there. How the fuck could I FORGET HER? How did this happen?

"Are you alright?" Chelsea’s counterpart asked .

"Yeah, I just thought of sothing. Sorry." I need to get her out of there ASAP.

How the fuck can I do that? I have to get Henry here and tell him I can’t do anything from inside this prison.

She will survive; she must know that I would co back for her. Besides, there is water and food there. I don’t really think we had taken all the guns; she would surely find one if she searched the mansion.

"My na is Chelsea." The blond girl introduced herself and looked uncomfortably at my jumpsuit stained with blood.

"Oh, that’s my blood; I had a nosebleed," I explained. If Chelsea was the nearest counterpart of Chelsea3, then that ant I could view her situation through her counterpart.

But I had to hold it together. I couldn’t just touch her while being a prisoner and risk that she ran away. If she worked on my body, she would naturally have to touch . I just had to wait for a bit.

She nodded curtly, placing her large bag with her work items on the table and looking around the room with apprehension. The black-haired woman, Dora, was unfazed, probably making tattoos on prisoners often, or she simply felt safe in Teddy’s presence.

If the latter was the case, she wouldn’t feel safe anymore if she knew that I could take down the big Teddy without even using my ability.

I pulled out my drawings and gave them to Dora. This ti I made a few freestyle drawings because the area we had to cover was that large, and I hadn’t seen the chief without his shirt, so I couldn’t copy his tattoos. I opted for a forest, the shadows of the trees all turning into obscure, eerie figures, looking haunting and matching the eerie tattoo on my back. It wasn’t to the point that a woman would run away upon seeing my upper body exposed, but just an intriguing motif...at least, I thought so.

Chelsea3 looked over Dora’s shoulder.

"You drew this?" She asked in disbelief.

"Yeah. That on my upper body, please, and regarding the money, I’ll be able to get it soon, don’t worry." I opened my jumpsuit and slipped my arms out, not opening it wider than to my belly button—I didn’t want to co across as lewd or anything.

"Oh God." Chelsea glanced at

and covered her mouth, probably because of the scars.

I nodded and lay down on the bed. The last few tis, Dora just scanned the motif with her phone and took a picture of my arm. Then she placed the motif over my picture and adjusted it to my liking before she started to work, sotis looking at her phone to get the proportions right.

They worked very advanced and very ticulously as well.

But I couldn’t concentrate or feel any anticipation about my new body modification, hoping that Chelsea3 could finally touch

so I could look for my Chelsea.
