Chapter 12: 12. Red eyes

Henry looked up at

and narrowed his eyes, his face mocking.

"You sure are quick to burst into rage."

"Yeah, am I a murderer just because of that?" I was as surprised as he was, usually being more steady.

"Not only that. What is wrong with the second entry?" He asked, while continuing to search around.

"The second ti we t, I read her past and there was a new detail, so I told her. Then she left, she didn't even talk to

that day." I pressed a button on the cooker – a good al would be ready in two hours.

"Do you really believe you can look into soone's past?" Henry mocked

again.

"I read you while you chocked

you asshole, cause of that I am being so nice."

"And? What did you see?" He walked up behind , his killing intent thickening.

"It was the mont you identified her. And for the first ti, I even felt the feelings of soone else, your feelings. It was....devastating." A hand gripped my neck and my hand reached for the knife in the sink, as I pressed the blade against his throat.

He was stunned for a mont.

"If I were a murderer, would I only threaten you? Or would I kill you?" I asked.

I pressed the knife harder against his throat,

"I said, you can't touch

yesterday, already forgotten?"

His hand around my throat loosened, and he stepped back, covering his neck that bled ever so slightly.

"Band-aids are in the bathroom." I motioned him with the knife while washing it.

"Stop." I said when I saw him taking a step.

"I go get it." Rembering the bathroom scene from yesterday, mirrors were too risky. I got him one and threw it to him.

He crushed it and threw it away, just taking a tissue and pressed it against his throat.

"Brat." I sighed.

"What is in the diary that makes you so sure that it was ?" I asked.

"Scared of what she had written?" The hatred was audible.

I leaned against the kitchen counter, that was no wider than a ter.

"Scared that your sister had written bullshit?"

He was ready to attack again, but I held the knife up for him to see.

"I have held her hands when reading her past, I have never touched her beyond that, NEVER." I looked directly into his eyes, my sunglasses had fallen off when we shuffled earlier.

"Yesterday, you asked what my problem was, although you knew already?"

"Correct. I figured you wouldn't believe

when I said I just figured out her death and dismbernt through you." Seeing him throw himself at , triggered because I finally ntioned the state of her body, we again ended with his hand on my throat, and my knife against his.

"If you don't believe , let

read you again. What do you have to lose?" I implored him.

"Do it." He said, and I flipped the coin, slapping it on my other hand, not expecting to see the coin turning black. A lock opened, and I saw the woman's eyes uncovering.

A beautiful tall man, with a mole under his eye, carries another unconscious man in his arms, walking down a dark street. He turns and marches toward a forest, the unconscious man is bleeding heavily, leaving a trail of blood behind. He walks for what seems like an entirety, never losing his tight grip on the man he carries.

"What is this?" Henry asked, and I ca back, looking at him utterly confused, after the future I just saw.

"Your eyes turned red." He was still holding my neck, although not that tightly, as we were face to face.

"What the fuck?" I asked him incredulously.

"Your eye-color, it turned bright red."

"Really? Nobody told

before." I usually close my eyes when reading.

"What did you see?" He asked, a bit more convinced, it seed, after seeing sothing this illogical, even I had a hard ti believing. I had to film myself the next ti I flipped the coin.

"The future, and it can't prove a thing." Just Henry carrying

in a forest while I bled, what the fuck.

"Let

try again." I closed my eyes, but he intercepted.

"Let them open."

"As you wish." I stared at him and flipped the coin, this ti it stayed golden, and the woman uncovered her eyes, ears, and heart, making

nearly curse.

A tall man wanders aimlessly through the streets, before halting in front of a building, taking the elevator up. He enters the living room, walks to the shabby apartnt, entering a nearly empty room besides a desk, bed, and closet.

Sitting on the bed, he is so completely lost, clueless on how to live on, so broken and injured that he wished to end it all. He lies on his sister's bed and stares up at the ceiling for hours, finding solace in the emptiness he feels.

But then the emptiness is not enough to shallow the pain, and it eventually breaks through full force, forcing out a wretched cry that pierces to the beyond.

Coming back, I felt my eyes tear up, choking down a lump in my throat, as I was trying to breathe evenly.

"What did you see?"
