Chapter 109 - 109. eting

We walked the rest in silence, and luckily soon found the spot where we left the two.

"Are you injured?" My grandma asked when I conjured up the ladder for her to descend.

"I am not." I said.

" too." Henry mumbled.

We got Jeyjey down as well and continued to go.

"The cave is near." I inford them.

"Have you thought of a way to leave?" My grandma asked.

I smiled self-mockingly. Why am I even giving them hope?

"Yes, there is a way. If the ceiling of the cave is really an illusion or directly a portal to the end of the hole, I can climb the ladder and send fireworks up. If we are lucky, the military notices and lets down ropes."

"Lets try this." My grandma nodded. She now had her walking stick by her side again. When she had been on the tree, it was left on the ground.

Soon we stood before the entrance.

"Wait a mont." I said and walked in first. I can rember that between the cave and the forest had been so barrier, not letting in any sound. Furthermore, I wanted to check if there was one of the monsters inside.

I walked through the cave and soon heard voices.

"Where is the exit? Repeat again what he had told you!"

"That the portal is in the cave. Nothing more." That was Chelsea's voice. Well, at least she was fine.

They were apparently in the open space with the glowing tree and torso-hill and didn't notice , who was still in the passage that led to the forest. I flipped the coin in my mind and saw that there was no danger before I went back to get the others.

After stepping out of the cave, I notified the rest.

"The group is inside. Let's go."

Jejey burrowed her head inside Henry's neck, and he grimaced at her gesture. My grandma nodded grumpily, apparently not a fan of them after they left so hurriedly when they heard

fighting the little vampire.

I sighed and motioned for them to follow .

When we stepped into the open space, it beca deadly silent. The group of ten had beco a group of six. Red hair, Baggy Jeans, the older guy, and one guy and girl who had been left without food back then. Additionally, there was Chelsea.

"Jeyjey!" Baggy Jeans stood up and ran to her.

"Go away." Jeyjey sobbed, not lifting her head.

Henry put her down against a cave wall and distanced himself, wiping his neck that she had cried across. That he was so bothered by her tears but not at the blood all over him nearly got

bursting into laughter, but I was still pissed at him and suppressed it.

Baggy Jeans kneeled beside Jejey, but the mont he touched her shoulder, she slapped his hand away.

"Kenny. I am sorry." Chelsea stood up but didn't co closer.

I nodded at her to tell her that it was no problem, and she gave

a small smile.

"You know how we get out, don't you?" The red haired girl stood up and walked towards .

"Help us, let's leave together."

Henry snorted, and I nodded.

"Yes, but we have to get another person who is on the other side of the cave first. You can wait here for us until we get them."

"No way! We will co as well!"

"Yes, we'll all go." The older man chid in and pushed his glasses up in the go.

"Is that food in your backpack?" The girl with green eyes asked. The guy beside her also lifted his head and eyed my backpack.

Henry stepped in front of

and threw his knife up before catching it in a movent that scread 'show off'.

"There appears to be an issue with your behavior. Even if you all know how to cross the portal, you won't be able to do so without him."

"So let's work on our attitude?"

I could hear the smile in his voice as he spoke and put my backpack down. While the others turned silent, I took a can of beans out and gave them to Jeyjey. Then I passed one to my grandma and patted Henry's shoulder. When he turned, he got beans as well, and I took one can for myself.

"Take the backpack; one of you carries it, and you can eat, but I recomnd being thrifty; we don't know how long it will take to leave." I heard my grandmother click her tongue, and I was of the sa opinion. But we had enough in the mansion. It didn't matter and was annoying to carry.

I took out a few bottles of water and threw the backpack over to them. They all lunged on it like hyenas. Baggy Jeans also stood up from where Chelsea was and snatched sothing to eat and drink.

While I distributed the water, and opened the cans for my group with my back to the others– so that they wouldn't catch on to my ability, the rest started to fight over the backpack.

"One of you will have to carry Jeyjey. She was part of your group anyway." I interrupted them loudly. Henry needed to have free hands for the mont we t with his family.

Chelsea looked up from her can, trying to open it with a stone, and Baggy Jeans raised his arm.

"I will do it."

"NO! Kenny, please, they will leave

behind again!" Jeyjey shouted while crying.

I nodded at her.

"If they leave you, we will pick you up again, but Henry here has carried you enough, and I need him to fight if necessary."

She whimpered, and the older guy ca forward again,

"Where is the can opener?"

"Find a way to open them yourself." Henry growled, and nobody dared to ask again.

We ate in silence again, and at the end, we were ready to get Henrietta.

The fucking truth was awfully near, and my fingers itched for it.

"We will go." I stood up in the end.

Everyone else also stood up, showing that they wanted to follow. Fine.

Baggy Jeans carried a crying Jeyjey, and the older guy with glasses carried the backpack that was still awfully full.

When we passed the torso-hill, Jejey scread, and then eventually burrowed her face into Baggy Jeans' neck. The rest of the group appeared to have already seen it, and didn't look in that corner. My grandmother glanced there for so ti before averting her eyes in disgust.

We moved, and with the narrowed cave after the open space we had to go in a row. I was first, then my grandma, then Henry, then the rest.

The glowing stones soon ca, and we arrived at the spot where I had woken up. There was already an older pair sitting in the sa position against the stones on the ground, as they had in their flat I had seen in my vision.

And there was a tall, beautiful girl that was trying to climb the cave wall to reach the ceiling.
