The old snake sohow luckily got out of a sticky situation.

However, it didn't an that Dweezel was happy.

He was soone who preferred to have everything under his control, and this ti, his old rival surpassed his expectations.

Sanada was still trying to sway the WAA to his side? What proof does Sanada have to pin the bla on him?

Dweezel didn't know, and he didn't want to know.

Prevention had always been better than cure, but this ti, he would have to face the repercussions of what Sanada had done.

After all, only an idiot wouldn't know what cos next after the word 'Dweeze.'

The old snake expected the WAA directors to co calling soon, demanding an explanation, and If he wanted to remain their ally, he would need to carefully consider what ca out of his mouth.

As everyone else stressed over the ongoing battle, only one man reveled in it.

Chaos was practically bouncing with glee as he sprinted through the tallic hallways of the Hawkin Group Headquarters.

'Hahaha…the wretched old man is probably revealing the other wretched old man's secrets right about now…is he panicking? Is he scrambling to stop the broadcast? Has the WAA changed sides? Ahh…I can't wait…'

anwhile, inside his luxurious office, Hale was staring at the wall blankly—his heart in utter turmoil.

He was among those who knew what ca next after "Dweeze".

He found it hard to believe, especially not without proof.

The irony was that the broadcast was suddenly interrupted, which, in the head director's opinion, only made Dweezel seem more suspicious.

After all, why would he interrupt the broadcast if he had nothing to hide?

Hale wanted to give Dweezel a call and demand an explanation from him.

But knowing the forr hero's wit, he was certain he would be t with intricate lies and had no chance of learning the truth that way.

The only way was to sohow contact Sanada and ask for the rest of the recording.

Of course, the head director desperately wished for everything to be a re fabrication by the old terrorist leader.

But even more than that, he longed to learn the truth— even if it ant discovering that the ally he once trusted and respected was, in reality, a ruthless and utterly conniving bastard.

And that he might've been played for decades like a marionette on a string.

Unfortunately, his thoughts were disrupted when the door to his office burst open, revealing three WAA guards—blades unsheathed, blood dripping from their edges.

"Hoh? So soone's here to dispose of this old man, huh? Which side are you with?"

*CLANG!*

Sounds of clashing tal echoed continuously.

The two young n had been clashing for the past three minutes at an underworldly pace, and yet, none of the two seed to be panting in exhaustion.

It was as though the clashes were re warm-up for them.

"Shye Crowley, I do admit that you're strong, but if this is the extent of your abilities, then I'm disapp–?!"

Alexander Aphelion's words were rudely cut off by two lethal greatswords approaching his neck with vicious intent.

He was forced to jump backward to dodge the attack.

"You bastard…have you no honor?" the young hero said with narrowed eyes, furious.

"Oh, for f*ck's sake, just shut the hell up and fight! I'm short on ti!" Shye cursed, equally furious at his opponent's pretentious yapping.

Honor? How could he have honor when he was known as a filthy terrorist commander?

Only once the operation succeeded could he consider things like honor.

Right now, unsealing the Black Dragon was more important than anything else. And to do that, he first had to help his father capture the WAA Main Headquarters.

At least, that's what the old man said.

Alexander Aphelion felt disrespected and was about to begin attacking again, and this ti, willing to show a few of his cards first.

But unfortunately, his mana communicator once again rang in a strange tone.

He was being called back, and for a reason he knew.

However, Alexander didn't comply imdiately, dodging another strike from Shye as he cast quick glances at the recovering WAA agents.

Only after confirming that they were all fine and had already retreated inside the WAA Main Headquarters—protected by its fortifications—did he leave, his fading words carried on the wind:

"We shall et again, Shye Crowley. Next ti, I'll take your life for sure. Prepare your neck."

Shye narrowed his eyes as his last attack—the two half-moon slashes, empowered by a charge of [Boost]—hit nothing but air, dispersing after clashing with the fortified walls of the WAA headquarters.

He didn't know why Alexander retreated, but it worked out better for him.

They were already behind schedule.

Way behind.

Looking around, he realized the WAA squadrons had already begun to retreat, and the agents he'd been fighting earlier were nowhere to be found—even the unconscious ones.

Alexander had perfectly bought ti for his comrades without paying too much of a price.

"Da– Commander Maverick, shall we proceed?" Shye asked through the mana communicator.

"Yes, so—Commander Black Dawn, let us," Maverick responded. "We're already behind schedule. We must capture the communication and ergency teleportation room within five minutes."

After battering the WAA defender forces, it shouldn't be too difficult to achieve this.

…Hopefully.

Shortly after swiftly reforming their ranks, the Maverick Unit and the Black Dawn Unit entered the headquarters.

With no agents appearing to intercept them, the father-and-son duo easily broke through the WAA elite guard squadrons, who had reford their lines minutes ago. Despite the squadrons taking advantage of the hallways, fortifications, and defensive machines like mana turrets, Shye and Maverick managed to push through.

In just under five minutes, they captured the communication room and the ergency teleportation formation.

Defending them, however, would be difficult—extrely difficult—especially since Shye would have to join Chaos and Tigren inside the Hawkin Group Headquarters.

Only a minute after securing the rooms in the WAA Main Headquarters, Shye took off, leaving Shirley, Luna, and David to defend his father.
