Pairs of eyes turned towards the creaking door of the dimly lit tallic eting room as an ashen-haired young man wearing the Hadean Varsa Commander Mask stepped inside.

Shye scanned the room upon entering, quickly noting that, including himself, there were twenty-one people inside.

'Hoh, is this a commander eting? Why wasn't I inford ahead of ti?' he thought, inwardly dissatisfied.

The old man, however, had his reasons for hesitating to invite him, and those reasons quickly ca into play.

Just as he was approaching the eting table, two commanders blocked his path—one of them donning a curious smile while the other, a disdainful smirk.

The smiling figure was a man slightly shorter than Shye.

A black blindfold with a small magic circle in the middle covered his eyes, and his long, ponytail-tied black hair cascaded down to the waist of his slim yet toned physique.

On the other hand, the man who regarded Shye with contempt had short, spiky brown hair, striking yet intimidating facial features, and a horizontal scar across the middle of his nose bridge.

He stood a few inches taller than Shye, with a physique that wasn't overly bulky but instead impressively defined.

"Chaos, Cobra, cut it out. Focus on the eting." Maverick said, the tone of his voice cold.

He wasn't as strong as the two commanders.

However, he would sure as hell fight them to the death if they dared touch his son.

Alicia, too, was already gripping her dagger's handle, ready to strike the mont the two dared to ss with her son.

They weren't too worried about Chaos.

After all, while the commander was fond of combat, he rarely harbored malicious intent toward his rivals.

Instead, he was driven by curiosity and a desire for a chaotic environnt where everyone was engaged in battle.

Cobra was the one they were worried about.

Not only was the bastard extrely arrogant, but he was also ruthless and vindictive, unwilling to take a loss.

The guy was unlikable for sure.

However, his combat prowess is the real deal, and his hatred for Dweezel Hawkins and the WAA ran deep for so unknown reason, and that's why he was well-trusted by the old man despite his unruly nature.

A part of why Maverick and Alicia were worried was also because of their son's personality.

By watching the broadcasts of the Adventurer Academy Competition, the WAA, and his personal streams, the couple realized that their son, much like Cobra, had no tolerance for losing—especially to bullies.

He was also one to ruthlessly slap the faces of those who antagonized him first for idiotic reasons, so there was a high chance that the current situation would escalate.

"Hohoh, so you're Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn, huh?"

Chaos was the first to speak, his smile growing wider as he sized up the ashen-haired forr hero.

Shye raised an eyebrow, eting the commander's gaze which reminded him of a backyard hooligan eyeing a potential target to extort lunch money from.

Still, sensing no ill intent from Chaos, Shye returned the stare with equal curiosity.

He had heard of this powerful commander before, and, like others his age, he was curious to see how he asured up against him—though he was confident he was the stronger of the two.

"Well then, now isn't the ti for us to clash. I'll bring my elites to the main headquarters soon to test your little unit."

Chaos then left as quickly as he arrived, returning to his seat beside Sanada.

Cobra, however, didn't seem to have the sa thoughts as the other commander, steadfast in his disdainful attitude towards the most recent commander.

Of course, Shye was not pleased with what he was doing.

Narrowing his eyes at the commander, Shye spoke:

"What?"

However, Cobra didn't respond, rely continuing to smile at him with disdain.

Shye decided to ignore the idiot, passing through him and heading towards the empty seat in the middle of his parents.

It was then that Cobra finally spoke, extending his left arm to block his way and prevent him from leaving.

"You've got a lot of nerve to arrive late." the commander said.

"Huh, why don't you ask the old man if he inford that there would be a eting? If I knew, then I would have arrived on ti." Shye retorted, as disrespectfully as he could, not even bothering to hide the fact that he disliked the idiotic commander in front of him.

If the guy weren't a comrade and if they weren't in front of the old man, he would've already slapped the annoying smirk off his face.

However, since Cobra hadn't made a move yet, he wouldn't strike first.

It just so happened that verbal exchanges were also his cup of tea.

"Hoh, I don't like the way you talk. Do you know who you're talking to?" Cobra said coldly, evidently pissed at Shye's reply.

He did not care that the bastard was a forr hero.

In fact, Cobra despised anyone who had once worked for the WAA, comrade or not.

Contrary to his reputation, he had secretly killed many more heroes—often from lower-ranked regions like Krebori, Raumann, and Phaskalda. Most of his victories, however, were kept hidden from the public to avoid causing panic.

Of course, he had heard of Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn's illustrious reputation.

But he was not scared one bit.

Cobra was not fond of watching television, often using his ti to either train or engage in true life-and-death combat.

Hence, although he had heard that Shye was just as strong as the heroes from the higher-ranked regions despite his young age, Cobra believed that the WAA was rely glazing the talented young man.

In short, he was not convinced.

He wanted to put the young man in his place.

"I know who I'm talking to." Shye retorted sharply, threatening Cobra back. "Do you know who you're talking to?"

"Hoh." Cobra gripped the handles of his black cutlass.

Just when both sides were about to draw their swords, Maverick stepped in.

"Cobra, return to your seat, we're having a eting." the strategically talented commander said coldly, preventing the situation from escalating.

However, it turned out that both Shye and Maverick had still underestimated Commander Cobra's troubleso nature, leading to Maverick being violently shoved to the ground.

"Move, weakling," Cobra said, causing such fury to consu Shye's heart that not even his [Unfazed Heart] trait could completely quell it, despite its activation.

Alicia was even more infuriated, lacking such a convenient trait.

Unfortunately, just as Shye and his mother were about to charge with their weapons in hand, the old man's eerie aura enveloped the entire room.

"Will you bastards stop, or do I need to make you?" Sanada said, his tone as cold as a winter night.
