"Let start by giving you so background about myself," Shye began. "I'm Shye Crowley, a forr WAA Hero turned terrorist commander of Hadean Varsa."
Upon hearing Shye's words, Dallis' eyes almost bulged out of their sockets, her heart pounding wildly.
Though her knowledge of the outside world was limited from spending most of her ti confined to her room, she had a deep love for books and human devices, especially a holographic television projector.
This allowed her to at least keep up with the happenings in human society.
Occasionally, she would sneak out of the lair to acquire new ones for herself.
With almost unlimited access to resources like rare herbs, high-grade sapphire gemstones, and monster crafting materials scattered throughout the cave, earning money to buy books was a simple task.
However, venturing outside was extrely perilous for Dallis, especially given her nearly nonexistent combat skills.
As a result, her outings were rare; the last ti she ventured out was about a year and two months ago.
Although she had only ever traveled to the nearest city, Zorgshire, during her outings, the na Shye Crowley was far from unfamiliar to her, as it seed to echo through nearly every street she walked.
Thus, upon realizing that the man in front of her was the renowned Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn of Valenzia, she couldn't help but gasp in surprise.
'B-But wait, terrorist commander?!'
"W-Why have you suddenly turned into a terrorist?!" Dallis blurted out without realizing it.
Shye's brows raised upon hearing the young woman's response.
"Hoh, you know ?" he asked, intrigued.
"O-Of course! I might be holed up here, but I'm an avid fan of books and gossip!" Dallis proclaid proudly. "You're the brightest youngster in history, so how could I not know your na?"
Shye was naturally surprised that even soone ruling a hidden clan of ogres from the depths of a cave would know him.
As if to confirm who he was, Shye removed his Hadean Varsa mask before replying:
"Oh? I'm impressed that you know of . That's good—it ans you'll have a better understanding of my reasons. I hope you and your clan of ogres can cooperate."
Dallis, however, failed to respond imdiately, her head in the clouds as she stared sowhat dreamily at the young man in front of her.
'Ahh…he's as handso as he was in his broadcasts…No, he's even more handso in person!'
It turned out that Dallis was a devoted fan of Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn!
If her holographic television projector hadn't struggled to receive broadcast signals most of the ti, her heart would have surely joined the ranks of the broken when Dweezel revealed Shye's connection to Hadean Varsa.
"Dallis?"
Shye's slightly confused nudge finally brought the young woman back to reality.
With a shake of her head, she responded:
"C-Cooperate?"
"Yes," Shye confird, "I need your underground cave to be a temporary roosting area for my dragon army, and I shall be holding you hostage for six months."
This ti, Dallis was devastated, not expecting her idol to turn out to be such a scumbag.
He wanted to drive them out of their cave!
With clenched fists, a broken heart, and a trembling voice, the young woman asked:
"Why? Are you going to raid a city like a true filthy terrorist?"
"Yes, sothing like that," Shye replied in a rather nonchalant manner, further crushing the fangirl's heart.
But then, just when she had resolved herself to die in her idol's hands, Shye suddenly continued:
"Unlike a filthy terrorist, however, our organization actually pursues noble goals—like saving the world."
Dallis, on the verge of disregarding all caution and commanding her generals to eliminate the young man before her, hesitated upon hearing Shye's final words.
"What do you an Hadean Varsa is saving the world?" she asked, both doubtful and hopeful at once.
Noticing the effect his words had, Shye seized the opportunity to elaborate further.
"In simple terms, the world's mana is being sucked dry, and it's all because of Dweezel Hawkins. That old snake is scheming to build an empire for himself, where anyone who refuses to submit to him will be cast into the desolate wastelands. This hidden underground cave of yours will likely end up in those wastelands. You and your ogre clan will have to fight for a place to survive in Dweezel's kingdom."
Dallis naturally trembled at what she just learned.
Because of her deep respect for Shye, combined with her naivety and inexperience, she quickly believed what the forr hero had said.
While blindly trusting others was usually unwise, in this case, it was the right decision.
Nonetheless, Dallis was out of words.
She was inwardly panicking, with mories of Baba, Big Bruce, and the other ogres flashing through her mind.
They've done so well for the past decade.
But as it turned out, no future existed for them.
The clear desperation on Dallis' face, however, was exactly what Shye had hoped to see, as this gave him the opportunity to present his plan as the solution.
This way, he could avoid being seen as a villain by the peaceful ogre clan.
Not that it mattered to anyone else except for his peace of mind for kicking an entire clan out of their ho.
"Worry not," Shye seized the mont. "Though many now see as a filthy terrorist, I am still the sa Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn, and I will save the world for everyone. Dallis, lend your ogre clan's lair for six months. After that, I promise you can have it back."
"Also, allow your generals and Bloodskin ogres to join in the war. While I can't guarantee all of them will return alive, it's a better fate than the bleak future awaiting us, don't you think?"
"I truly hope you understand, as ti is critical to our organization's operations, and I don't believe I can find a suitable lair for my dragons in such a short ti. If you don't cooperate, I'll have no choice but to take it by force with my 150-strong dragon army. If you agree, I promise to not hurt a single ogre of your clan."
