Drop-dead gorgeous girls usually have trouble finding love or friends in a new environnt, especially soone like Maia, who also had an extrely renowned big brother.
It was rather difficult to believe that soone from Balkrow City would have the courage to confess to her and capture her heart.
Upon reflecting further, Shye realized he should have noticed sothing was off from the very beginning. Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire
Even so, his connection to Hadean Varsa remained a secret, giving him the freedom to engage the annoyingly confident brat in the kind of battle he desired.
"Don't dig too deep into things beyond my reach?" Shye whispered into Leffen's ear. "Believe , little hawkling, I've dug way deeper than you."
The blonde young man's eyes montarily widened upon hearing the young Valenzian hero's words, finding it difficult to believe that Shye indeed knew what was up.
He underestimated the target!
As for the man himself, Shye simply made a calculated guess, aware that Dweezel was after the talents of his body, regardless of his affiliation with Hadean Varsa.
Who else but that conniving old weasel would send soone after him and Maia?
He then judged based on Leffen's age that he was one of Dweezel's Hawklings.
For the first ti in his encounter with Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn, the blonde young man felt nervous, wary, and unsafe.
Leffen had always been a smart kid with a knack for intimidating others through words.
This ti, however, he lost at his own ga.
Nonetheless, Leffen would never admit that he was a hawkling.
"Huh? What the hell are you talking about? Also, why should I be scared of you? There's nothing you can do to inside this office."
"Hahaha!" Shye chuckled in response. "Your acting's not bad, but your first reaction to what I said gave you away, you stupid brat. And as for saying I can't do anything to you—sure, I can't kill you, but I can pound you until you're terrified of fists."
Upon hearing Shye's sharp retort, Leffen sprang into action and swiftly attempted to exit the door.
However, before he could do so, Shye grabbed him by his clothes, throwing him to the opposite side of the room.
Shye then crushed a sound isolation talisman—an item that would allow him to beat the crap out of Leffen for five whole minutes without Maia realizing.
'Maia, this is for you.'
For soone of Shye's strength, he needed less than five minutes to ntally maim soone in combat.
"You brat…you dare toy with my little sister's feelings? Take this!"
*PAH!*
"And that!"
*BONK!*
…For three whole minutes, Shye destroyed Leffen with a passion, breaking his bones, slapping and punching his face till he lost consciousness, and choking him to near death.
Each ti Leffen teetered on the edges of the afterlife, Shye forced health regeneration potions on him to fully restore his body—only to start the brutal cycle again.
As a result, the poor blonde young man developed all sorts of combat traumas, making it impossible for him to fight other people without flinching or being nervous.
It would be impossible for Leffen to be as excellent as he once was.
While his life would be spared due to Shye lacking the moral reason to kill him, he would lose his chance to beco Dweezel's heir.
After about three and a half minutes, Shye finally felt satisfied, leaving Leffen twitching in a corner of the room after forcefully feeding him a peak-grade restoration pill.
The pill wouldn't take effect for another minute and a half, and by that ti, Shye would already be long gone from the headquarters with Maia in tow.
He swiftly exited the room and shut the door, ensuring Maia wouldn't see the sorry state of her fake boyfriend.
"Oh, b-big brother… how did it go?" she asked nervously.
Shye didn't answer right away.
Instead, he took her by the wrists and led her along without a word.
"U-Uhm…big brother? W-Why are we leaving Leffen?" She followed up, her anxiety levels rising.
"Don't worry, he's fine. Just trust for now and co with . I need to discuss sothing important with you." Shye finally replied, slightly easing the nervousness in Maia's heart.
As long as Leffen was fine, then everything was good.
The two of them could just contact each other and et another day.
Little did Maia know, today would be the last ti she saw Leffen—at least for a long ti.
As they walked, the siblings didn't talk.
It was only when the two of them arrived at the city's teleportation formation that Shye finally broke the silence.
"Here, use this scroll," he said as he handed the unsuspecting Maia a teleportation scroll.
Shye was quite wary about Leffen's words about him arriving too late.
He was convinced that the bastard had sohow brainwashed Maia, considering how confident he was, even bold enough to say things like, "Maia wouldn't co with you."
Therefore, Shye didn't hesitate to take drastic action, imdiately bringing his little sister to the Hadean Varsa Headquarters, where Dweezel's sinister influence could be countered.
After all, Maia was one of the most important people in his life, and losing her would be an unbearable blow.
Unbeknownst to Shye, he did the right thing by not talking too much.
Had Maia known what happened to Leffen, it would've been much more difficult for him to bring her along.
His high intelligence and wisdom attributes proved extrely valuable as they always did.
Maia's respect and trust for Shye were engraved bone deep, and since he hadn't said anything that would trigger Leffen's thods, she didn't think too much and activated the teleportation scroll.
Seeing this, Shye smiled and did the sa.
The next mont, the siblings found themselves in a room with tallic walls, floor, and ceiling, which caused Maia to tilt her head in confusion.
She didn't know why, but she sohow felt nervous.
"B-Big brother? Where are we?" she asked.
"Co, follow for now. I want you to et so people, and with their help, I'll explain what's going on."
