"Sigh…Miss Maia is as beautiful as ever…" sighed a young man with long black hair and muscular fra as he gazed at Maia, who was pacing back and forth at the guild branch's lobby, looking out the window from ti to ti. "Tch, if only that blonde-haired bastard didn't exist…"
"Heh, you truly make laugh." remarked another red-haired young man with a slim yet toned physique. "What, you think that the extrely talented, strong, and beautiful Miss Maia would fall for you had Leffen not arrived in our branch? Has your brain been eaten by worms? Also, can you even look at her big brother in the eye without pissing your pants?"
Naturally, the black-haired young man was angered upon hearing his friend's unsupportive words.
However, since the red-haired young man's words were true, he could only swallow his anger.
After all, he was genuinely unsure whether he could stand face-to-face with Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn and withstand the young hero's aura without pissing his pants.

"W-Well, of course! He's my big brother. He raised , and I haven't seen him in ages…" Maia explained briefly, flashing a mischievous smile at Leffen. "But are you sure you should be this relaxed? My big brother cares about just as much as I care about him. I'd say you're in for quite the intense interrogation!"
Upon hearing Maia's words, a hint of nervousness appeared on the young man's face, though he was able to quickly rid himself of it after a deep breath.
"H-Hmph! I'm not nervous at all!" Leffen stamred. "I know that Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn is a righteous man. H-He wouldn't be unreasonable."
"Hmm… Well, that's true…" Maia replied thoughtfully, only to gasp excitedly a mont later. "Big brother!"
"W-Where?!" Leffen shot to his feet, panic written all over his face.
"Hahaha! I'm just teasing you, silly," Maia giggled. "He already contacted and said he'd need twenty more minutes since he had to stop by city hall."
Her laughter rang out as she looked at the flustered young man, her amusent undeniable.
The two continued chatting casually for another twenty minutes until a commotion erupted outside the Raven's Blade Balkrow headquarters.
The streets were suddenly flooded with people—both adventurers and ordinary townsfolk—shouting in excitent.
Naturally, Maia and Leffen imdiately realized what was going on.
Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn had arrived.
"Leffen, let's go et big brother!" Maia exclaid eagerly, grabbing the blonde-haired young man by the wrist and tugging him toward the commotion.
To her surprise, Leffen held her back.
"Calm down, Maia. Rushing out to et him will only make things harder for your big brother," the young man said firmly. "It's better to wait for him here inside the guild headquarters."
Realizing his words were true, Maia composed herself.
She didn't want to cause trouble for her big brother.
"That's true…" she admitted without hesitation. "Well then, I'll wait for big brother to arrive… I just hope he gets through them as quickly as possible…"
Fortunately, with the assistance of the Balkrow City Guards, Shye smoothly made his way through the bustling crowd, earning himself so extra system points by showing off his peak-tier equipnt and king-class familiar.
In the end, he racked up an impressive 400,000 points.
It wasn't much compared to his recent point earnings. However, it was at least enough to allow him to buy himself so new [Rare] to [Unique]-tier skills.
He could even invest in a new talent should he opt to do so.
Still, all of that would be for later, as his top priority was far more urgent: securing his little sister's safety before stepping away from society.
As Shye pushed open the entrance to the Raven's Blade Balkrow branch, he was greeted by a rushing Maia, who quickly leaped into his arms for a hug.
"Big brother!!" she exclaid with sheer joy. "Why did it take you so long to visit ? Maybe you don't care about as much anymore?"
Naturally, Shye knew that his little sister was just joking around, so he replied in a jokingly cold manner as well.
"Hmph! Aren't you all grown up already? There's no need for to care much about you anymore, is there?"
Although Maia knew her brother was just teasing her, his words still managed to irk her.
"What? Y-You're really saying that to now? I guess you truly don't care about anymore…" Maia pouted, pulling away from her brother's embrace.
Shye couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction.
'Hahaha, you're still a few years too young to ss with your big brother!' he thought with a grin. "Hahaha, I'm just joking! I even got you a present! Co, stop sulking and give Big Brother another hug."
Just when Shye thought he had the upper hand, Maia unexpectedly revealed her trump card—sothing he hadn't seen coming and was completely unprepared for.
"Hmph, no. I have my dear Leffen anyway. You can go back to Valenzia City for all I care!" the pouting little sister declined, instead opting to wrap her arms around the handso, blonde-haired young man nad Leffen.
Naturally, Shye was stunned for a mont, struggling to collect his thoughts as the corners of his mouth twitched at the sight of his little sister clinging to another man.
"Huh? Wait…Maia…don't tell …"
However, before Shye could finish his sentence, Leffen straightened up and spoke in a loud, formal tone:
"S-S-Sir Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn! I-I am Leffen Suntale, and I-I'm your little sister, Maia Crowley's b-b-boyfriend! I-It's an honor to finally et you, b-b-big brother!"
Shye's heart was suddenly flooded with a whirlwind of emotions at Leffen's words, feelings he couldn't quite na or make sense of.
However, the dominant ones were disbelief, protectiveness, and a sense of unease.
It had been a long ti since Shye's heart had been in such turmoil.
To make matters worse, his [Unfazed Heart] trait wasn't activating for so inexplicable reason.
