From her handstand, the young woman suddenly vanished, reappearing beside the airborne Aziel.

She then struck his back with her blunted katana, sending him crashing to the ground.

However, to her surprise, the "Aziel" she hit disintegrated into re particles.

The next mont, she sensed danger from above.

Shirley looked up.

"DIE!" Aziel exclaid, brandishing his tachi downward, its edges gleaming purple.

Despite being caught off guard, Shirley managed a clumsy block by angling her katana horizontally, but the blow still sent her plumting like a falling star.

"Puhahk!"

Landing on her back, the Valenzian beauty spat out a mouthful of blood, quickly rolling out of the way the next mont to dodge Aziel's follow-up downward strike.

She then nimbly got back to her feet, assuming the most basic of fighting stances once more.

Witnessing this, Aziel gripped the handles of his weapon tighter while gnashing his teeth, a hint of anger visible on his handso face.

'You can't be f*cking serious…this is truly your fighting style? And this sh*t is actually working against a top-level genius like ?!'

Feeling that he would simply tire himself out, the young Yon Augennian warrior stopped thinking about useless things.

He decided to focus on the battle for now.

Just as before, Shirley, even while maintaining the most basic stance, steadily advanced and stalked Aziel as if he were her prey.

This persistent behavior ignited a sense of rage in the prideful heart of the young Yon Augennian.

However, he forcefully pushed aside that feeling this ti, inching closer to Shirley himself with the swordsmanship style his father, a renowned titled adventurer from Yon Augenn, had taught him.

The air was thick with tension as sweat trickled down the necks of the two highly skilled warriors, while the onlookers watched the intense sparring match with bated breath. Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire

None of them expected the match to turn out this way.

Who would have imagined that the young female Valenzian warrior, dismissed earlier as re cannon fodder, was actually the woman of the renowned Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn and one of Valenzia's finest duelists?

She was certainly giving Aziel far more than just "a run for his money."

…It was Aziel who arrived within his striking distance first, as his tachi was longer than Shirley's katana, hence allowing him to strike first.

The Yon Augennian ferociously dashed forward and slashed his weapon diagonally upward, prompting his Valenzian opponent to swing her katana diagonally downward.

It was the perfect move to counter Aziel's attack and prevent a follow-up.

This made the young man grit his teeth in frustration, realizing the woman he was up against was highly skilled in dueling.

Of course, she would be, given that Siegfried sparred with her nearly every other day—each ti an intense match.

Not to ntion the occasional spar with her lover, who overwheld her in terms of physical attributes.

For the next few minutes, Aziel and Shirley traded blows, their advanced dueling skills on full display, leaving the crowd in awe.

"S-She's a goddess..." one onlooker murmured, clearly srized.

At one mont, the two moved with the grace of a swan; the next, they were as ruthless as a spider, their blunted weapons clashing repeatedly at a rate difficult to follow for those from the lower-ranked regions.

It was clear they were evenly matched.

At that mont, the renowned Aziel Adralech seed to fade into the background as Shirley Locke of Valenzia made her debut among the elite, her na resounding far and wide outside the confines of her region from now on.

...As the match wore on, both warriors grew increasingly exhausted from their intense exchanges, each strategically using their skills to gain an edge, but neither was able to break through.

Nonetheless, both suffered a few minor to moderate strikes from their opponent, bruising their bodies through their armor.

The damage they sustained gnawed at their focus, testing their grit and resilience as the battle inched toward its end.

"Give up, Shirley Locke of Valenzia. You'll never match my depth," Aziel declared, unleashing a ten-ter-tall [Full-moon Slash Lv.5 (Rare)] at his opponent in an effort to end the spar.

Shirley remained silent, choosing instead to charge forward decisively, with no trace of fear in her gorgeous eyes.

With a single slash of her katana—its blunt edges glowing red—she shattered the massive blue slash mark into re particles, continuing her fierce dash toward Aziel the next mont.

"Tch, you're persistent! Sonogong's Might! Heaven's Wheel!"

Frustrated, the Yon Augennian activated two of his trump cards, casting a sinister red aura around his body and manifesting a golden divine wheel floating behind him.

It appeared as though Aziel was a hybrid of both holy and demonic essence.

Shirley responded accordingly, using her trump cards that none of her comrades had ever seen.

"Four Divine Beast's Essence! Ares' Blessing!"

Four incomprehensible runes materialized above Shirley, each embodying the essence of one of the four mythical divine beasts.

The azure rune roared like a dragon, the white rune growled like a tiger, the red rune screeched like a bird, and the black rune emitted an unrecognizable sound.

The runes then embedded themselves into Shirley's back, followed by an orange ray of blessing that rose from the ground and enveloped her.

Both Aziel and Shirley exuded a nacing presence, their auras making most of the youth representatives break into a cold sweat.

In the next mont, both competitors charged at each other as if on cue, their bodies radiating scarlet and vermillion auras, tinged with a hint of the divine.

A cataclysmic clash ensued as both blunted weapons made contact with each other, generating a fierce gust of wind that made its way over all tables at the grand halls.

"I refuse to believe you're still my equal! Sword of the Divine!" Aziel exclaid, his tachi extending to five ters in length.

This was his strongest trump card.

In response, Shirley naturally used her own ace skill, the edges of her blunted blade glowing with an eerily silent dark purple.

"O' reaper of the night, please taketh thy adversary's life…swiftly…silently…" she murmured before exclaiming: "Nightfall Reaper!".

Both warriors swung their weapons with all their might, their teeth clenched from the force of their attacks.

The next mont was a scene that would be immortalized in the mories of the youth who attended this specific Heroes' Banquet.

As the five-ter-long golden tachi collided with the silent dark purple katana, the forr was effortlessly sliced in half, the latter cutting through like a hot knife through butter.

The katana then stopped re centiters from Aziel's throat, his body drenched in cold sweat.

"I win, Aziel Adralech."
