At this mont, all attention was on one person: Shirley Locke.

Only she and Aziel had yet to use their chances

Now, it was Valenzia's turn to issue a challenge.

If she passed on the opportunity to face Aziel, the Yon Augennian leader would likely challenge her next.

Rejecting that challenge, however, would effectively lock her region into third place.

The smart move here was to fight.

But Aziel wasn't just any opponent—no one among the younger fighters wanted to face him in a match that truly mattered.

The real question was whether Shirley would dare challenge the Yon Augennian youth leader for a shot at the top rewards, or if she would back down like what was expected of a re country bumpkin.

"Miss Valenzia, would you like to use your opportunity to challenge Sir Aziel Adralech of Yon Augenn, or would you prefer to pass?" Moderator Scarlet asked in a cheerful, lively tone, causing everyone's ears to perk up in anticipation.

Belford, anwhile, was feeling quite uneasy.

He hoped Shirley would at least attempt to challenge Aziel, as it would give them a shot at a three-way tiebreaker even if she lost.

However, he didn't dare push her, fearing it might offend the only hero of his region.

Belford had overheard earlier that she was Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn's woman.

If he pressured her into fighting Aziel and she ended up seriously injured, the old director had no idea how he'd handle Shye's wrath.

That was why, at this mont, Belford appeared far older than his years.

Fortunately for him, the words he had hoped to hear from the young lady ca out the next mont.

"I will use my chance to challenge Aziel Adralech of Yon Augenn," Shirley declared, her voice cold yet as smooth and calming as honey, without a trace of fear or anxiety.

Upon hearing this, even the elitists couldn't help but inwardly applaud her decision.

This was the very definition of "taking one for the team."

Belford was extrely happy as well.

With this, they could enter the tie-breaker, giving Siegfried or Ian the chance to secure at least second place for their region, even if they couldn't defeat Aziel in the end.

Shye rely watched everything with a faint smile, seemingly excited for a show.

The old director also saw his expression.

However, he didn't think much of it, believing that Shye was just proud of the fact that his woman dared to face a renowned strong youngster from the number one region.

Unbeknownst to Belford, he couldn't have been more wrong in his assumption.

Walking towards the weapon rack to select a suitable tachi, Aziel spoke.

"I comnd your bravery, Valenzian. May I ask the na of this young lady?"

Shirley was a stunning beauty, particularly as a warrior, boasting a highly toned physique and enticing curves that were evident even beneath her Mithril-tier armor.

It was only natural that she would draw the attention and admiration of soone as respected as Aziel Adralech, especially given her bravery in challenging him despite the odds stacked against her for the sake of her team.

"Shirley Locke," she replied coldly, clearly uninterested in conversing with Aziel for a long ti as she moved to select a blunted katana from the weapon rack.

Unfortunately, contrary to Shirley's expectations, her icy response only fueled the fire of desire in Aziel's heart.

After all, winning over such cold beauties was an accomplishnt that only the top tier of n could claim.

Aziel naturally considered himself one of those chosen few.

Thus, he desired a beauty by his side—one who would be beyond the reach of ordinary n.

He believed that if this stunning Valenzian warrior had even the slightest potential to stand alongside him, he would do everything in his power to win her heart and help her beco strong enough to stand proudly by his side.

It was a brilliant plan—if only Shirley didn't already have a man who was greater than him.

Nonetheless, Aziel was self-assured and didn't care whether soone was currently pursuing Shirley or if she was already with soone. Enjoy exclusive chapters from My Virtual Library Empire

He was confident that, being just a few years away from becoming one of the two Yon Augenn warrior heroes, he would surpass any man she could ever et in the backwater region of Valenzia.

However, he failed to consider that the man in question might have already accomplished more than him in a shorter ti and was currently occupying a seat that Aziel would only be able to sit on after several more years of hard work.

What he was doing was rely bringing humiliation upon himself.

"Hm, a lovely na that suits a beautiful individual like you," Aziel complinted, flashing the most charming smile he could muster. "How about you go on a date with if I win, Shirley Locke of Valenzia?"

This caused Shye to narrow his eyes in amusent, a reaction that did not escape Belford's notice, prompting an intrigued expression from the old man.

Old as he was, Belford was quite excited to see how things would unfold.

anwhile, the Yon Augennian mbers smiled, with a few even whistling boldly, which made Aziel's confidence soar.

Unfortunately…

"No," Shirley replied curtly, showing no concern for rejecting Aziel in a way that might spare his feelings.

Her response silenced the cheering Yon Augennian crowd and brought a hint of embarrassnt to Aziel's heart.

However, this little setback wouldn't deter him.

'Heh, good. You're supposed to be hard to get; otherwise, you wouldn't be worth it,' he thought, taking a mont before replying as he walked to the center of the sparring area.

"Hahaha, you're quite cold, Miss Shirley," Aziel responded without a trace of anger, convinced that she was just testing his attitude and character.

He knew he had to make a good impression.

"Oh well, it seems I still have to earn your attention… Maybe I can, maybe I can't—who knows? I'll leave it up to you to decide after our battle."

'Let's see if you can still reject after seeing how capable I am.'
