Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger! Chapter 632: Hunt for Crafting Materials Begins
Dark shards shattered and fell like snow as an ashen-haired young man opened his eyes amidst the cascading fragnts.
He then looked around and searched for his true opponent, smiling at him victoriously.
"Looks like I won, Regi."
"Sigh…well, at least you’re alive. I’ll take the loss…" Reginald replied, sohow relieved despite his first-ever defeat.
He would be in trouble if Shye died.
After all, not only was the guy a hero, but he was also central to the old man’s plans.
Sanada would hunt him down if he jeopardized the old man’s sches out of so foolish pride.
Even the WAA will be his enemy should he accidentally kill Shye. Hence, it was truly a relief that he managed to survive his ultimate skill.
"So? How on earth did you manage to survive in my illusion sphere for so long? And how did you figure out that the ’’ inside was just an illusion?" Reginald asked with a helpless smile.
"F*ck you and your skill, Regi! That damned superhuman "you" gave quite a scare!" Shye said, his heart still pounding.
He didn’t know whether the illusion would be able to deal damage to him but he didn’t dare risk trying.
Instead, he decided to look for the illusion core, which was quite easy as his [Mana Pulse] did the job for him.
"I initially thought that your ultimate skill was the red gleam on the illusion’s dagger so I used my [Flight] skill to stay afloat for eleven minutes. Howev–"
"What a dirty trick! Aren’t you supposed to be a hero? You’re ant to fight with honor!" Reginald blurted out, unknowingly interrupting Shye in his frustration as his competitive spirit flared up again.
If his killing move truly turned out to be a montary weapon and attribute enhancent skill, then he could only imagine how humiliating it would be for it to ti out while he helplessly stared at his airborne opponent.
"What? Now that’s the pot calling the kettle black! Hahaha! You’re the last person who should call underhanded, after all the running around, trap-setting, phantom tricks, poisoning, and illusions you’ve used to try and kill !" Shye retorted, spittle flying as he spoke. Read new adventures at .Côm
"B-But how am I supposed to fight you with that idiotic strength of yours?! Even a single casual swing is like a damned trump card! I had no choice but to employ cunning!"
"And? Do you think that damned superhuman illusion of yours is any better? That thing does not die! What do you want to do, fight it head-on like a braindead idiot?"
Realizing that his illusion was impossible to defeat, a bit of sha crept into Reginald’s heart.
He indeed shouldn’t be crying victim here when it was Shye who suffered inside his illusion sphere.
"F-Fine. Well, you did good. If you had died, the old man would’ve ended . Lucky for you, the thought that an illusion can’t kill didn’t cross your mind—because that illusion demon wouldn’t have hesitated to take your life."
"Damn it! I knew it! It felt way too unsettling, so I wasn’t about to risk getting hit by it..."
After discussing their battle and subtly talking shit to each other, Shye and Reginald finally felt better, the ice thorns in their hearts barring them from making a deeper connection finally thawed.
They now felt much more at ease around each other, particularly after having witnessed each other’s true abilities.
Shye could finally admit that, despite all the lounging, he could trust Reginald to have his back.
’Speaking of…’
"So, Regi, care to explain how you train?"
"Hmm? Oh, right. I was born with a [Legendary]-tier talent called [Perfect Combat Simulation]. All I need is to watch a recording of a monstrous creature’s battle, and I can simulate a fight with it in my mind just by closing my eyes." Reginald said, subtly boasting.
He paused for a few monts to see Shye’s slightly dumbfounded reaction before continuing:
"The life-and-death experiences I face in those simulations feel real and carry over, so I don’t need to go out and hunt for combat experience. This applies to recordings of other people’s battles too. Thus, all I need to do is train my attributes in training centers and "laze around" to gain combat experiences."
After hearing Reginald’s explanation, Shye, for the first ti in his professional career, felt envious. It was a talent that would allow him to attain the peak of combat techniques.
However, when Shye rembered that he alone in the world had the potential to grow as powerful as the deities themselves, he felt a bit more at ease.
Everyone had their talents, and he knew he shouldn’t be too envious of Reginald’s—especially since he had the system on his side.
"I see…Well, what are your plans now? I plan to focus on training and advancing my career for now while hunting for crafting materials." Shye asked, picking up his fake spatial bag from a nearby tree
"Hmm…Well, I’ll train like usual for a month and return to the old man’s headquarters for so official business."

The two chatted casually as they made their way back to Valenzia City, where they parted ways upon arrival.
Shye decided to get a good night’s rest before starting his official training the next day.
After resting, Shye headed to the guild headquarters and, to the astonishnt of his guildmates, casually picked up an (S) ranked quest and registered it under his na.
While they knew he was now a hero capable of defeating (S) ranked monstrous creatures when fighting seriously, they hadn’t expected him to nonchalantly choose such a quest as if it didn’t even matter what creature he faced.
[Congratulations! You’ve earned 3,529 points!]
However, contrary to their insane thoughts, Shye had been eyeing this specific quest for quite a while as he had long pondered the crafting materials he would need for his new weapons and armor.
Now, all that was left was to obtain them himself.
