For the next two and a half days, Shye wandered throughout the city, accompanied by a beautiful black-haired lady and a scrawny necrollin.
He decided it was better for people to stare at Zeth's beauty in her human form rather than her spirit form.
A few tis, he noticed people using mana communicators imdiately after seeing her in spirit form, and he couldn't tell if they recognized her or were just coveting her with sinister intentions.
Nonetheless, it would be better to stay under the radar for a while, especially since his inauguration was coming right up.
They could ss with him all they wanted once he beca a hero, but would they even dare to?
After one final fantastic al, which left his wallet hurting thanks to the scrawny Nookie's unbelievable appetite, Shye checked into a luxurious inn.
He enjoyed a full eight hours of rest before waking up, getting ready, and heading straight to the WAA main headquarters.
Shye ensured he wouldn't be late by leaving the inn forty-five minutes earlier than planned, arriving at his destination about an hour and a half ahead of schedule.
After admiring the vast headquarters with its nurous advanced training facilities, Shye forced himself to refocus and approached the guards at the entrance to ask for assistance.
As expected, the guards were highly professional, granting him entry with effortless efficiency and leading him to his destination: an incredibly luxurious waiting room featuring snacks, air conditioning, plush chairs, and a soft bed.
It was a very fancy room that pleased him.
'Tch, maybe I could have saved so money by staying here instead of at the inn,' he thought, feeling a bit bored.
Familiars and tad monsters weren't permitted inside the WAA main headquarters, so he left Nookie in his inn room while Zeth transford into a black bracelet, unable to speak.
Fortunately, he didn't have to stay bored for long, as soone knocked on the door a few minutes later.
"Sir Crowley, Director Belford of Valenzia is here to see you."
After a brief pause, the door creaked open, revealing an elderly man with long white hair tied in a ponytail, a goatee, fairly average facial features, and a scholarly, sowhat frail appearance.
Yet, despite the fragile exterior, the old man exuded an air of unquestionable dignity, demanding respect from those around him.
'Director Belford of Valenzia, huh? First ti I've heard of him…'
It didn't take long, however, for him to recognize who the old man was.
"Shye Crowley, I've personally watched your impressive performances on holographic screens nurous tis. I'm Belford Grant, WAA Director of the Valenzia Departnt. I'm delighted to finally et you in person."
'The man who sent a voice ssage when I was fighting against the Void Dragon!'
Naturally, Shye imdiately gave a deep bow to the old man, understanding that Belford likely fought hard for his inauguration, especially since many were against it.
"A pleasure eting you, Director Belford."
Witnessing first-hand how respectful Shye was when not provoked, Belford nodded in satisfaction.
A hero must be kind-hearted and respectful to ordinary people, yet a devil to evildoers and those with sinister sches.
In Belford's eyes, despite Shye's young age, he already possessed all the qualities of a true hero.
"I've co to offer you a few options for your hero title. After all, once you are officially appointed as a hero, your title will always be associated with your na."
Upon hearing the Valenzia director's words, Shye's brows slightly rose. He was rather amused that he could choose his own title.
He originally believed that titles couldn't be chosen and that each hero position ca with a predetermined title, much like how Mira was set to inherit the title of Venerable Exodus Fernandez of the Hallowed Luminescence.
He would definitely prefer to have a title that he chose or thought of himself.
Unfortunately…
'I only have less than an hour to think of one, huh? Sigh…I should've co earlier.' Shye inwardly sighed, his heart filled with regret.
It seed that he played around a bit too much in Yon Augenn City. He was young, and he naturally wanted to have a badass title.
However, due to a careless mistake, he might have to settle with a rushed one.
A pity.
"Here are a few predetermined titles reserved for future Valenzia Heroes," Belford said, handing over a luxurious catalog to Shye before continuing:
"If none take your fancy, you may think of your title and write it in this piece of writing plaque. However, keep in mind that you only have thirty minutes to decide. If you fail to submit one in ti, the WAA will select an appropriate title for you from the predetermined ones in the catalog."
"I understand. Thank you for the patient explanation, Lord Belford." Shye respectfully replied, carefully taking the plaque from Belford.
Shortly after, the Valenzia director left, leaving Shye with the limited ti he had to co up with a fitting title for himself.
Unfortunately, sohow, even with his high wisdom and [Unfazed Heart] trait, his heart raced like crazy.
It felt as if sothing deep inside him wanted the most badass title possible, one that would help him show off and earn more points every ti it was ntioned.
'Sh*t! Why am I nervous?!' He inwardly reprimanded himself, a palm in his wildly beating chest.
'Calm down, Shye Crowley. You still have thirty minutes. For now, let's check the catalog…'
Shye allotted ten minutes to look for a suitable title in the catalog. However, as expected, he didn't fancy anything.
His heart, mind, and soul were all aligned, urging him to co up with an aweso title. Read exclusive chapters at My Virtual Library Empire
'Fine, Fine! Think of a title I shall…'
What he hadn't anticipated was that his mind, due to an unusual nervousness, decided to play tricks on him at this critical mont.
The titles his mind ca up with were all absurd, like "Shye Crowley of the Black Booger" and "Shye Crowley of the Fart Cloud."
Strangely, he couldn't help but imagine how funny it would be if one of those absurd titles were his hero title, causing him to stifle laughter and struggle to focus.
Before he knew it, ten minutes already passed.
'F*ck! Focus, Shye Crowley, Focus!'
He was legitimately panicking over his hero title.
Fortunately, a deep breath helped him reflect on his past sacrifices, the old man's despicable actions, and the goal they were striving for.
Then, around three minutes before the ti was up, his mind finally ca up with the perfect title.
He quickly grabbed the writing plaque and scribbled his heart out, an excited smile on his face.
"Hahaha! Phew! I thought I wouldn't be able to think of a good one on ti!"
