Back at the Horza Blaidde Mana dungeon, Shye and his extermination party had just killed two more (S-) ranked monstrous creatures, causing a loud thud to echo across the concrete hallways, which turned into terrifying low howls as ti went by due to the floor's sound distortion effects.
Yet, the extermination party seed unbothered. Their hearts were as steady as a mountain and as serene as a lake.
They were already used to the spine-chilling sounds, dismissing them as re illusions. It was just another dungeon-clearing day for Shye and his party.
'Tch, if not for my mana pulses failing occasionally, we would've progressed even faster.' Shye inwardly cursed.
He planned to complete the dungeon within 2 months and return to the guild headquarters for a promise he made over a year ago.
'I assigned so of my subordinates to monitor the situation and respond as needed, but... it's still better if I'm there in person.'
Unfortunately, it seed that fate wasn't siding with him this ti as despite going through the entire tenth floor, encountering dead end after dead end, there seed to be no guardian room.
As a result, they had to fight a few monstrous creatures twice, due to them having already respawned.
'F*ck! Where is that damned dungeon core?!'
Shye squeezed his brains out, trying to think of where the guardian room might be, leading him to rember the mandatory quest the old man gave him a few days ago.
'Would the false core actually help in this situation?' He wondered, glancing at Mira, whose personality seed to have changed.
'Tch, but if I take out that cursed item right now…' He feared that the priestess would go crazy again.
However, he had no choice. They had to find the area where the core was located.
Retrieving the harrowing false core from the system's inventory with his brows slightly furrowed, Shye's assumptions proved to be correct as shortly after, Mira imdiately looked his way, a horrified yet desperate look on her face.
It was evident that she was contemplating how to seize the false core from him by hook or by crook.
"Crowley, why did you take out the false core?" Rai Hou asked with a frown.
They didn't know why Mira went crazy last ti.
However, since it was challenging to calm her, Rai Hou wanted to avoid showing her the false core whenever possible.
"We've searched the entire tenth floor but we still haven't found the guardian room. I took it out in hopes of checking whether it would help us find the true core."

"..." The Yon Augenn champion went silent for a few seconds, inwardly agreeing that Shye's idea might be plausible.
However, glancing at Mira, who was slowly growing insane once more upon laying her eyes at the false core, Rai Hou felt a headache coming.
Still, in the end, they had to complete the mission.
'Sigh…let's just get this over with…if it cos down to it, we'll just restrain her.'
Deciding to go through with Shye's plan, Rai Hou subtly nodded his head in agreent.
Thus, despite the impending chaos within their party, Shye pressed on and continued leading the search for the guardian room.
For hours, their footsteps echoed eerily, their voices turned into unsettling whispers, and Mira's unstable state of mind gradually worsened.
She attempted to grab the false core off Shye's hands twice.
Unfortunately, she failed both tis as Shye's physical attributes were significantly higher than hers. It was simply a pipe dream for her to obtain it without using a restriction spell.
However, despite her seemingly extrely unstable state of mind, Mira still knew better than to attack her party leader, especially now that they were inside a dangerous dungeon.
Hence, she rely continued her futile attempts, not daring to use restriction spells against Shye.
Another hour later, she suddenly stopped trying to seize the false core. It seed as though she had already managed to keep her emotions in check.
'That's better for us…I guess…'
There were a few tis when she glanced at the false core, but there were no signs of her going crazy again; thus, Shye and the others were able to breathe a sigh of relief.
They couldn't afford her going crazy. Not on the tenth and most dangerous floor.
From that point onward, their luck appeared to take a turn for the better as about fifteen minutes later, Shye noticed a brief distortion in the space of a particular concrete room they passed.
Additionally, he sensed a faint vibration from the false core, suggesting that sothing might be inside the room.
Rai Hou sensed it too, so he looked at Shye and nodded at him.
"Everyone, get ready for combat—we might have found the guardian room," Shye said with a serious tone.
He had no idea what kind of monstrosity awaited on the other side, or if they had indeed discovered the guardian room.
Still, either way, it would be better for them to prepare for combat.
Scanning his eyes over his party mbers one last ti, Shye made sure that they were ready, leading them inside the room the next mont.
Unfortunately, nothing happened.
"Hmm... let's wait for the distortion I noticed earlier. We don't know when it will happen again, so stay in combat mode."
Luckily, just around fifteen minutes later, the distortion happened again, and this ti, everyone saw it.
Soon after, the false core shone brightly.
A purple canvas suddenly erged from within the core, expanding faster than the speed of light and engulfing everyone.
Their hearts raced as they felt a powerful aura, as ancient as the sun, roaring majestically at them as though alive.
Realizing that they were sucked into a different dinsion, the dark surroundings slowly brightened up, and concrete and stewed lavender walls greeted them.
Surprisingly, although they felt as if they were stepping on sothing, the ground beneath them was pitch black, hollow, and empty.
It was as though they were afloat.
A few more seconds later, as purple orbs of fla illuminated the entire room, the source of the ancient aura was finally revealed.
It was a creature that none of them, including Shye, wished to fight.
