Therefore, he opted to scout the area first, wary of accidentally detonating it only to find out later that Nookie was nearby all along.

It proved to be the right decision, as monts later, an anxious little imp materialized out of nowhere, apparently returning as soon as it sensed his presence.

It appeared that the little creature was so eager to improve its puppeteering skills that it risked its life hunting monstrous creatures to add to its growing army.
"Hoh, so you can control thirty-one corpses now, Nookie?"
"Yes, master. Nookie apologizes for leaving without consent. Nookie wants more corpses to practice with." The little imp replied, offering Shye a sincere bow.

Upon hearing the necrollin puppeteer’s words and observing its sincere actions, Shye felt reassured that taming Nookie had been a wise choice, especially now that he understood the old man’s ultimate goal.
