Unfortunately, as the ceremony concluded, there was no opportunity for applause as re monts later, explosions erupted throughout the city of dreams, plunging it into chaos and sending its citizens into a panic.
From Blas' reaction on the holographic screen, it appeared that he had already been inford of the events and was swiftly issuing orders to contain the situation as quickly as possible.
None of them knew who dared attack Valenzia City but it could only be a top-tier terrorist group as only they would even have enough influence, manpower, and firepower to do so.
After all, Valenzia City was Valenzia Region's capital, and most of the region's highest-ranked adventurers were stationed here.
One could only speculate about the audacity and motives of the terrorist group that dared to invade such a heavily guarded city.
It seed that the terrorists were well-prepared, though, as promptly after the explosions settled, large heads of various monstrous creatures erged from the clouds of smoke, causing further terror and panic amongst the populace.
"Sh*t…are you serious?" Said Gyle Blasters, one of the highest-ranked adventurers of Valenzia, and the leader of Valenzia Enforcent Squad Three.
Even the six adamantite adventurers behind him were flabbergasted upon witnessing at least three (S) ranked monsters in their vicinity.
Although their elite city enforcent squad could easily deal with one (S) ranked monster, three would be a bit too difficult.
'Tch, what choice do we have?' Gyle inwardly thought before turning around and looking at his party mbers.
"It's a tall task, but we're elites, no? We'll manage! Charge! First, we shall slay that True Fenrir!"
Similar scenes happened everywhere in the city where elite adamantite adventurer squads arrived one after another to contain the situation and protect the citizens.
So far, Valenzia City's response to the situation had been immaculate, resulting in only a few lightly wounded citizens and adventurers with zero deaths.
Well, a part of it was due to the monstrous creatures' weird behavior, though.
"Hmm? Why are they wrecking only a few select hos while mostly ignoring the fleeing citizens?" Gyle noticed, leaving him confused.
However, since this was a good thing, he decided to not dig too deep and simply contain the monsters.
The quicker they defeat the creatures, the sooner they will overco the ordeal.
A few monts later, random adventurers ranked Mithril and Adamantite arrived to assist, easing the burden on the enforcent squads.
However, they were not the only ones with reinforcents.
Shortly after the random adventurers' arrival, black-caped n also appeared, attacking the random adventurers who appeared.
"Who are you guys?! Why are you attacking Valenzia City?!"
"Hmph! You don't need to know. Just shut up and fight!"
For the first ti, Valenzia's capital was in a state of pure chaos.
It was still unknown whether the adventurers could fend off the black-caped n's sneaky yet explosive assault.
Blas even ordered soone to send a distress signal to the nearby cities of other regions, calling for the aid of adamantite-ranked adventurers.
Unfortunately, it would take at least a day for reinforcents to arrive, assuming any adventurers were willing to assist such a backwater region.
They must hold on and at least buy ti.
anwhile, the situation inside the inauguration chamber was far from peaceful, as Blas' aides and the inaugurator feared for their lives.
Their worries turned out to be for the best as just monts later, five black-caped n suddenly kicked the chamber's door open.
They bore no resemblance to the black-caped n outside the city hall as these five appeared to hold significant positions within their group.
Unfortunately, apart from Shye and City Lord Blas, who was a forr adamantite-ranked adventurer himself, there were only two adamantite-ranked adventurers serving as guards inside the chamber, resulting in them being outnumbered five to four.
It was a good thing that the terrorists weren't interested in the lives of the aides and the WAA inaugurator.
Otherwise, it would be even more difficult for Shye and the other capable combatants to defend.
"Terrorists, what is your purpose for invading my city?"
"Ahh, the fad Lord Blas. We've heard of you. However, you're not our target today. Just hand Shye Crowley over and we promise to leave imdiately."
"Hmph, you think I'm so spineless turd? You insult . Draw your blades, I shall take your heads."
"Hahaha! Strong fighting words, Blas Alinsky. However, you are nothing but a retired adamantite. It would be unwise of you t–?!"
*CLANG!*
A deafening clang of tal striking tal echoed through the chamber as the leader of the five black-caped n barely managed to defend himself against Blas's swift and vicious katana thrust.
"It would be unwise of you to keep talking. I recomnd you shut up for a while and focus on the fight." the city lord said with a stern face.
It was evident that Blas had kept his skills sharp despite holding the region's highest authority.
"Hmph, Fine. I shall humor you, Lord Blas."
As the city lord and the leader of the five elite terrorists began their fight, the two guards engaged with two of the terrorists, leaving Shye to face the remaining two.
Naturally, Blas noticed his new regional champion's predicant.
Unfortunately, his hands were full with his current opponent, and there was no way for him to help.
He could only hope that Shye could buy enough ti for him to defeat his opponent and co to assist.

However, contrary to his expectations, the two terrorists stared at him oddly, their eyes showing faint hints of tears instead of attacking imdiately.
This left Shye confused for a few monts until one of his opponents, the taller one who appeared to be male, charged forward and slashed his tachi at him.
"Hmph! You're not capturing that easily!"
